The Vanishing Hitchhiker

Yesterday I spoke to you about Islamic Mythology.

Today I shall focus on modern mythology also called Urban Legends.

Urban legends are stories told by people that someone they know, that knows someone they know, that knows someone they know to whom it happened. These stories are usually bizarre, precautionary and they may change from culture to culture but the essence of it will remain the same.

One of the most popular of these is the story of the vanishing hitch hiker. The story goes that one or two or ...people who were travelling in a car or bus or ... pick up a person from the side of the road and take them to their abode. Only to find out later that the person who they gave a lift to is actually dead.

Now this urban legend (actually it IS true - it happened to my friend's friend) - is used with great cinematic finesse in today's episode. I am however very pleasantly surprised to find that although Zoya is from New York - she has taken the time to read the internet and make sure that the hitchhiker story applies to India as well. Only this is a revengeful ghost.

While most legends claim that ghost can be overpowered by holy water, Asad showed his true colors. His holiness is from within. Therefore he did not need the feel to be scared of a ghost. he knew a good slap would fix the ghost. But why did he blow out the candle? becaues he didn't want that person to be burnt should the candle fall on them. He already knew this was a fake. See how pure he is? But then Zoya has already called him a tiger. Although Asad does mean Lion. And Zoya has her metaphors mixed because of the smell of the bhang pakoras.

Of course, he must have seen the pants peeping out from the bottom of the sari or the beard and mustache that was visible on Ayaan's face in the candlelight that Ayaan kept carefully right beneath his face to illuminate it.

What I am also in awe of is the number of twists that Ayaan went through before he fell down. Where does Asad's supernatural strength and belief come from. His heart. He is pure of heart and therefore will be able to vanquish anything in his way.

Shishtachaar aur humari bhartiya sanskriti humey sikhati hai ki...athithi devo bhav...!!

Good Manners & our Indian culture has taught us that...a guest is a meesanger of God, hence has to be treated accordingly...

Do we practice it in our daily lives...no..!! But a tv serial, a socio-rom-com-mystry-thriller-horror-drama-action-song-dance-etc-etc wala tv show...today taught us that...!!!

A home owner...who is not in the house...who infact has covered his furniture while leaving...THAT home owner, welcomes perfect strangers with love, care & respect...!!

He leaves the lights of his driveway switched on...
He convineantly leaves his door unlocked...
He thoughtfully leaves a lantern on the door step...no match box was an oversight that can be overlooked in the general scheme of things...remember the precap...the owner left the matchbox there...!!
He generously left the power running...I'm pretty sure water must be running too...but since indra dev is in the mood, so...
Acc to precap...the glass cabana was beautifully decorated with fairy lights for creating the right environment...

We all should make a promise with ourselves...that we will watch QH henceforth & learn...!!!

Dedh Chaal

Dear All.. Doodhya is back with her musings and today doodhya is thinking about the relationship of Razia and Billo Rani. But before we go deep into that thought process let me say something. Last time when I wrote the post there was a numerical analysis done by Twisted_Beenz. I liked it so much that I decided to use it in my post today. TB I am sorry if you feel bad that I stole your theory, let me know and I will stop.

Today we talk about the number 2, numero dos... What doe number 2 signify? I knew you all must be thinking the same question.. I know great minds think alike. Todays episode was loaded with the number 2. If you see carefully zoya bought 2 teas, and 2 packets of pakoras. There were two cans of petrol as well.. one by Ayaan (empltied from Asad's car) and Asad have reserve pertrol in the trunk. Everything that happened happened in twos. Now you all must be thinking how does that relate to Razia. When you look at the picture that zoya and Asad saw in that khandahar, you can see mamu jaan's faint picture and zoya said that he is her father. One of the connections between Asad and Ayaan is Mamu Jaan, and now Mamu Jaan his connected with Zoya as well.

The number two plays another role here as a Symbol of sexuality since 2 represents also the division of the unit in male and female. Mamu and Mumamni.. This proves that the centeral character is Razia here. Now you many question me what is the relation between Razia and Billo Rani.. Well the Gospel of Thomas says"At the time when you were One, you have made the two". At the start it looks like Billo Rani (BR) works for Razia, but look at them one has cat eyes (razia), one has clear eyes, One makes twirls her fingers on her hair, and there Razia has curls, one has whiskers golden color ones, other side Razia is laden is Gold ornaments. If you all see The principle of the duality can be represented in the form of couple or pair, and would imply the idea of direct and reciprocal reports of simple complementary relations. According to Eckarthausen, "2 is the Number by which one is united to the other and by what only all parts of the world make one." So after loads and loads of musings, hours and hours of analysis, and thinking for a long time Doodhya has come to the conculsion that BR and Razia Bi are TWINS. Look at their initials.. They are identical as well.

Where there is evil there is negation of evil. Here that would be Badi Bi. Badi Bi made sure that she uses Razias chappals for walking around and on the Haldi that was on the floor. Now I know what the spider web that they showed meant. 1661 strands of web, the number when added gives you 14 which is divisble by... you guessed it 2. The second term of a duality is often considered as a negation or a limitation of the first: the Devil, "telling always no", and the Evil which it personifies, have the number 2 for symbol. According to Claude of saint Martin, "2 is the opposition to the Unit, of its production; 2 comes out of 1 only by violence, because nothing from 1 is removed; it is to make pass the entire to the quality of half; it is the origin of the Evil". Madrolle tells that 2 is a false number, ugly, weak, sterile and unhappy.

Thank you for reading this analysis. Please provide your insight to this post. I will looking forward to your valuable suggestions.

No Problem Doodhya.. I am pleased that someone liked my post. you and Payal covered everything. Please continue writing and musing.. I just have couple of questions..

How did Nikhat become anemic suddenly

Why did she decide to faint when no handsome hunk was around and no his fiance is not counted

Why would razia spread so much haldi. I do have a small theory about that.. Please listen to that as well..

During any Hindu pooja Kumkum (Sindoor) stands for our emotions or for our inner wisdom and turmeric (Haldi) stands for our inner purity and on the negative side, for our inner pride and egoism. By spreading all the haldi, Razia is actually making the world know about her inner pride and ego and purity of dadiz intentions.

OMG Payal !!

What a superb moral lesson we can take. I know that most soaps try to make us socially aware. But this subtle message would be so lost if you had not decided to decode this for us.

Looking forward to more of these insightful messages from you and of course, our esteemed serial maker!!!

Thank you!!!
