The only idea we all get is that Asad slapped Zoya in anger...it is a flaw in his character. No one praises him for it. And I bet even you won't take random person who hits out at another person in even road rage to the police station. I guess you'd rather try to settle things between thh two parties, as a mediator.

So also, if you see a brother hitting a sister, when he finds she is using drugs...would you bring him to book? You wouldn't be able to justify his action, but it does not warrant a strong action.

It is the same we feel with Asad and Zoya.
It looked like she threatened his Ammi's life with her actions...so he reacted. He does not have to go to jail for it.

Similarly, for Dilshad , Asad has made a very SERIOUS ACCUSATION against his dad without waiting to hear HIS SIDE OF THE STORY...the wife hit out, because she feared for her husband...

The mother hit out because she realised her son was one-track minded...he was putting other people's lives in danger here...esp when she knows how dangerous Rashid's situation actually is...

Do you seriously feel that any girl out there will take the message that it is good to keep silent when someone hits you...wife beating thrives because the women are scared to respond. Zoya definitely did not give any of us that message.

Please don't underrate the women or girls who are watching the show...

You can speak out...NO PROBLEM.

You can say that you don't like to see a woman getting slapped by a man...and I can say that item songs in movies are misleading our youth...I simply feel I have a more valid point...you don't have to agree with me.😊

No, I don't have to agree with you. However, it does seem to me that you've not read the multiple posts I read justifying the slapping. Even to see it is just a reaction is in itself condoning it. Granted no-one has to go to jail, but that does not make the behavior acceptable either. And no,I do not support hitting someone for doing drugs as an example you have tried to give to justify slapping. That's preposterous. I've worked in research on drug rehabilitation and that is so not one of the treatment options. Unfortunately you'll be very surprised that people could very much take that message as Zoya's character has never said one word against the slap and has remained silent about it. Unfortunately, I see a lot of nativity from a number of posts on this matter and it has really astonished me. It is what prompted me to write to the BCCC.😊

Oh God! The Slap Saga again!
Haven't we had enough of the slap already? The whole hungama about the slap IMO was uncalled for. It was a non-issue then, as it is now. If some people want to make it an issue and take it personally, then let them. It's their choice. Allow me to end this statement in SRK by quoting him. "Bade bade shows mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hai"

Laila,

If you thought that was what my post intended...who said it is A TREATMENT OPTION? It is a guy lashing out in anger...
SERIOUSLY!

Thank u for telling me , O'great rehabilitator that slapping does not treat drug addiction,. I REALLY NEEDED YOU TO TELL ME THAT! 😆😉

When you counsel these people, DO YOU EVEN LISTEN TO WHAT THEY ARE SAYING?😭😆

I am editing this, because I feel I reacted a bit too much...or even a lot too much...Sorry, I sounded mean...

The point was people react in anger...no one needs to take any lessons when anger is involved. If Zoya stands on a platform and preaches that slap is justified...that is wrong...gives the wrong message.

She reacted...she refused him forgiveness...sent him out...later she cooled down and thought...and realised he had done it in anger... so she took that bitter cup of friendship he offered.

Alternatively, she could have told him to lick her feet...what did U want her to do?
Give him a lecture, when he had already said sorry?

it's justified because she's his mother! she has all rights to lay one on him if she thinks he's doing something wrong. however, asad isn't zoya's parent. he therefore DID NOT have the right to slap her. it's not about a man hitting a woman or a woman hitting a man. it's about WHO and not WHAT GENDER.

that's my point of view 😊

I am sorry a mother slapping her grown son is not justified! If that's the logic then someone should be slapping Dilshaad because she is dead wrong.

SLAPPING IS NOT JUSTIFIED NO MATTER WHO AND WHAT GENDER. There are no reasons good enough to resort to physical violence.

And I know somebody is going gear up and say Self-defense is violence as well...I suggest to those people please look up a dictionary (and yes that was meant to be mean!)

@Staceyyellowz...the above line wasn't meant for you. I agree with you in parts 😊

Delena,

Any topic that has the word slap gets closed down...so this will be closed soon too.
You have seen only your posts closing down- Both sides of the fence have been treated equally, actually.

I have no problem with this thread because it was actually a civil discussion till certain people decided to make it personal. No the thread hasn't been reported but certain extremely rude posters have been. And if you don't mind, I am pretty sure I directed my post at Laila and not you...sure it's a free country and forum and you have a right to respond to me but since it doesn't actually concern you I suggest you don't unnecessarily get into an argument with me.

Sure...next time, it'd make more sense if you PM-ed her your private thoughts.THAT IS WHAT PEOPLE DO. It looks rude when you put it out in the open...and the Forum gives any one the option to comment...and you reataliate like this.

Do use the PM option when you make false statements that compel others to correct you.😳
