Well you most definitely had time to come here and insult me and tell me to get lost. Well, let me tell you this. I am here to stay. And I am here to hold shows responsible for doing what is right. Because while all shows are for entertainment, each one has a responsibility to do what is right by the public. The media is a very powerful source of socialization and if you've taken the time to study basic Sociology and Psychology, you will know that there are plenty of studies to telling us that what people see on television and form and reinforce certain ideas and opinions. Therefore to just say this is a fictional show and no-one including the public have no right to speak out is in itself a form of censorship and tragically a rather dangerous approach to take. While the slap might be perfectly acceptable to you, others were not happy and if you are happy with the stance, then you should voice it to the BCCC and counteract our letter. This I see you failed to do.

An interesting topic and I would have loved to give my opinion as well. But unfortunately, acc to the new rules in this forum, slap-related topics are no longer to be discussed.

The last one I had here was Asad Guilt/Zoya Trauma. I see a lot of more popular members here posting all the time, but I am here 24/7...interesting that you note me here so much...are pray you also here as much as me to make note? 😉

And let me add, while I say that anger and violence towards woman is unacceptable. I also do not support, tolerate or justify DIlshaad slapping Asad. Totally uncalled for.

well, if you thing both ways its not fair then its okay. i am merely curious about people who think its okay in one case and not so much in another. but again, to each his own!

Hence the reason you liked the post the person made to tell me to get lost? that's really healthy. That says a lot about your true intent.

no, not the whole get lost part, but to be more sensitive! so if you think you were the only one who could be aggressive in your comments, then its good someone spoke up! perhaps you were hurting their sentiments and in turn you got hurt too when they spoke up

so thats why its important to refrain from personal judgement and also to discuss things in a healthy way as we're on a public platform and discussing something that happened in a daily soap!

yes, so they showed how asad was sorry after he realized what he'd done was wrong, esp. the whole slapping part. they also showed how someone can be left tormented after such a scene when zoya covered her face while asad was trying to talk to her and she thought he was going to hit her again.

so its not like its gone completely unnoticed and asad thinks it was justified. think the story took care of the whole slapping incident. so wouldnt regard that as much of a moral/social responsibility to rectify in the soap re the whole slapping incident

Neither slap needs to be justified. I mean, I get it, once in a while, a mother might slap its child - but that has proved to have no positive conditioning. So, in my opinion, it was wrong for Zoya to get slapped just as it was wrong for Asad to get slapped. Read some studies, negative conditioning has no positive effects. So please people, don't think that anyone has a 'right' to hit anyone...even if they are a parent.
