Well done and thanks to everyone again for showing your support...Priyanka,Aaliya,Mira,Adeeti,JoJo,Riya,Delena,etc,etc... and many more and special thanks to Laila off course for taking it this one step further in giving us an opportunity for our voices to be heard and a biig shout out to Prianka for being such an inspiration in getting ,that inner voice out of me to express openly on this forum without being afraid what the inpressionable minds make of me... as long as I firmly stand up for what I believe..Thankyou Pri!🤗.
I am so priviledged to have met all you wonderful people on here and hope to be friends for a very long time to come!🤗Dnt ever forget me guys.!...or else...lol..

Hey Shaz,
My thoughts mirror yours! I'm glad we spoke our minds, and Laila, I'm glad you took the step. Kudos girl!

I wanted to complain and did some initial research on the BCCI. Actually, I must them one of our critics got me thinking... What's the point of complaining on this forum where neither the channel nor anyone from the PH visits?

That led me to the BCCI website and I shared the link with a bunch of you guys. I wasn't well. Than I was traveling and all the while, was worried we would lose the one-week timeline specified in the guidelines. But Laila came though for us! Way to go!

The website clearly states categories where entertainment channels need to self regulate and even has an advisory on the portrayal of women on telly. I hope laila's letter receives a response... And the matter is taken up.

It's it about QH, its about romanticisation of violence on television. If anyone watches any other show which is guilty of this, please write back!

Of course there are only a few favorites that I have...you are right - making changes is not about simply switching a channel
Totally agree..some fanfic on here is really good and there are some very talented writer's on here.Me too prefer the characterization of Asad and Zoya better than in the actual show. These writer's should be the ones writing for the actual show...that way we would atleast get to see some meaningful, interesting content.

your point over negativity is very true
but these tv shows are influential over people
there were people fantasizing wet dreams over a person in the other show
they just cant differentiate between reel and real

It's not about WHAT is portrayed, but HOW IT IS portrayed.

If these shows are portraying its ok for these guys to behave like this, and audiences are justifying this behaviour, then it's worth reporting to the BCCI.

The sad reality is a lot of people think its ok for a guy to slap a girl, that violence without provocation is ok.

In reality, there are many many issues but by thinking its just a show, no one takes it seriously, were making a grave error cos media has the power to influence impressionable minds.

According to the Indian broadcasting federation, channels and show makers have the social responsibility to self regulate.

So yes, it's the serial that is at fault.

And about what they showed, like I said elsewhere, even if they did show it, an acceptance that what he did was wrong irrespective of whether Zoya was at fault or to, would have to some extent addressed this. But that's of why was shown.

As for the serial, if they claim to want to portray social issues and are not doing it in a responsible manner, then an an audience, we have a right to speak up.

I'm glad you're not supporting the behaviour.

But there are posts that are disturbing here... That justify the action, that suggest its ok for someone to vent their anger or fear by physically abusing another person.

The worry is: are such portrayals not doing enough to show this behaviour is not unacceptable? Again it's not just about QH only. We spoke because we saw the impact and influence of this.

true if the BCCC acts and responds with these issues the makers and
the channel will be restrained from airing such content on national television
hope something happens
