Ridzy dear...we are very serious about taking this stand as it really means something to us ina lot of ways. You know how mad I ussed to be aboout ASya and get all excited like everyone else out here...and I've always commented on your posts and expressed my excitement...but the day Asad slapped Zoya so mercilessly and brutally liked that was teh day I had to really sit up and say..."No,this is not right in anyway"...How can any women after being physically abused like that even go onto fall in love with that very same man?...Could you Ridzy and be honest?
They could ahev ammended the situation somewhat and redeemed Asad's character too as they had all the opportunity to with that so called redemtion...but they had to go and makwe a big mockery out of a woman's sentiments there to by making light of the situation.Asad could have been shown to be more remorseful about the fact that he had hit a woman...and what did we get ?I,nstead him going back to being MR High and Mighty again and literally telling her where to go when she expressed concern about him and his dad.The list is long Ridzy...sure you get my point!
As for making a hoo haa out of Razia's evil deeds is not called for as she is the villian of the show,so we all expect what not..hence all negativity from the bad guy but it gets hard to accept when the good guy is portrayed in such bad light without any of the issues being addressed in the appropriate manner.
We all have the right to express our views and we're not always going to be on the same page so we'll have to agree to disagree on this one but we can try to respect one another's views.

i know shaz... even i am agaisnt violence i have mentioned that before but the point is some of you have dreamed that we the labelled fangirls have justified that slap incident by giving it the name of romantic gesture... which we never said... and being villian DOESNOT give Raziya the right to kill somebody... i never saw any of you who are voicing against the slap posting a single thread about Dilshad who was more victimized by violence and not to forget she is a WOMAN too

Hi Laila, Thanks for sending a letter of complaint to BCCC. I may not have helped draft it, but I'd like to think that it speaks for me too. I am so glad that some start has been made to push back this tide of abuse/chauvinism against women and female regression. I hope that in some small way it will raise a sense of responsibility in production houses, so that they think twice before they try to romanticise violence against women again, and realise their larger responsibility towards society. I hope the journalists you have sent it to use it in some way in their publications. And even if the letter is not published or sparks a wider artice, I hope that any QH producers/staff who happen to browse through IF as they usually do, will read this post and realise that they have a moral responsibility to their viewers. Small though this may be, I hope that this is the start of something big.

Excellent letter even though i don't completely agree with it...I'm one of the ones who don't think the hoo-hah that occured after the slap was necessary...
However i have discussed enough about the slap...to the point that any more further discussion will make me want to slap myself...🤣
I respect your views and each to their own to be fair...so once again...I hope you receive a response for all your efforts...😊

Before I ran to a meeting and not have access to computer for the next few hours...here are few things I want to say:

1. There are some people who are supporters of the slap, the redemption track or both. And there are some here who believe it is OK to slap a woman under certain circumstances, violence is erotic etc. We will never change your thinking. So this post is not for this purpose. This post was put here to tell you and others who claim to work for the PH, that we did do something.A number of you called on us in your taunts that if we wanted to do something we needed to do something bigger, so we did.

2. This thread is not designed to be a pro-slap or anti-slap thread; Shifali has created one for us please go there to discuss that issue. If you hold the view (pro-slap) I am not here to discuss it but if you want toplease go to that thread. I do not want to have this thread shut down because of few of you have not had your say so on that matter. I have not had a chance to respond to some posts and will not until later tonight, so, I request that this thread is not shut down because some members (who are not happy with this post) wish to take this thread in that direction.

3. Regarding the letter, our intention was not to end the show, cause grievance to the PH or to the cast of the show. If anything, a number of the people who contributed to this letter are fans of Karan Singh Grover, so no need to call out his KSG Protection Squad. A lot of us loved the character of Asad and the Asad-Zoya romance and are disappointed to see how the writers have destroyed it. We come from a mindset that romances are not built on violence and for any relationship to be established, more needs to be done to resolve the matter.

4. For the KSG fans out there, I think he's a very good actor with a lot of potential. And I am not afraid to say he is incredibly hot looking and I am certain I would go gaga(if I was in my teens)should I meet him in person. However, I am also able to distinguish between him, the actor, and his character.

5. Finally, this post is a reminder to all of you, if you have a grievance take the appropriate course of action. I did not know about BCCC until a membertold me this week. If you know of other shows that bother you, take up the cause. It is not my responsiblity to fight ever television show that has a problem - I don't watch all of them. This is the one I watched and this hit a raw nerve because it was the lead male character.

And remember this forum belongs to all of us and if you do not wish to visit because you do not like descentng view points on ONE thread then then the only person who is going to lose is yourself.

Thank you

those who lives at glass house should not throw stones at others.
coming from a forum where male lead twisting female lead, mentaly torture her, marry her by blackmailing now you people are giving us ghayan about adding romantic angle on violance.
can i know how many times you people write to bccc for the previous show where violance give romantic look according to their fan.i want to know it.

aren't your people previous show was based on relationship
on violance.
why the double standard.

and the slap scene was anything but not romantic.

you people say you are violance against woman.
than why zoya burried alive wasn't touch you.razia deframing humaira don't touch you.

now you say in that case guilty was negative character.
so what are you people stand up violance against woman issue or violance against woman by positive character.

in reality its the negative people who do violance against woman so will you keep quite there also.
its double standard.

and asad was not a white character he is a grey character.

and what about rashid
they show how a husband cheating a wife on pregnant stage.
than leave her with two kid.
why that issue don't touch you people.
dilshad is in pain for 17 years but why that does not touch you people.
don't you think cheating with your pregnant wife is a very inhuman act and its greater problem than a slap.

and let me remind you rashid was shown as positive character than why you people silent on him.

why single out asad.

so you people's double standard fource us to think other way.

you people's intention in that forum does not seems positive.

a common link of you people with a forum which recently go off air is also very much noticed by us.

and the way you people dragging a issue to bash a single character.
make us smell some myesterious about you people activity in our forum

Hey Riya,
This is the only forum I'm active on now! Don't watch any other show 😊

See you around! I'm basically doing fan fiction and a song series and speaking my mind about anything I feel strongly about!! 😆

Well done Laila. That's a great step on your part. Do let us know if you hear anything back from anyone. I won't be surprised if this turns into something big/influential.

To everyone else, let people exercise their freedom of speech and expression. Laila has not harmed anyone, she is only trying to create awareness.

I, for one, am not staunchly against the slap. To me it was a matter between an emotionally volatile son who was on the verge of losing his mother and a possible suspect (who does not have the most credible track record) behind the turn of events. Still, fact is I did not like it- he did overstep his boundaries.

What I am staunchly against is the pathetic apology, Asad's ability to still look her in the eye and him constantly shoving her around be it back during the ambulance episode or more recently. What I further detest is Zoya's ability to so quickly rebound and behave as if nothing happened. I detest the lack of self respect shown. In real life, this would make for a very pathological love relationship.

So if someone is finally making an effort to speak up, let them. It has to start somewhere and it so happens that the show is QH. It does not mean that the TM is on a personal agenda of sabotaging someone.

There have been studies that show that the more smoking youth view in movies, the more likelihood that they engage in it. So, such things do matter. The media, factual and fictional, has tremendous influence in effecting change. Not every youngster watches TV/movies with a discerning eye.

Very well said!! 👏👏

Valid points - it's not about QH, not about the PH, just about the screenplay that could have portrayed the same situation differently.

He slapped her - not cool, but it happened

He apologized - could have been much better

Her reaction/ acceptance - really... is she in denial?

we are not singling out Asad at all...we have always maintained that violence other than self defense is not acceptable. I do hope you realize the difference between the portrayal of violence through a hero and a villian? Asad is the hero in QH...he is portraying a character who is shown to respect his mother and love his sister...and this very man violently uses aggressive force on a woman and his reason is ...his mother was dying and hence he was dilutional ...well I am sorry...in a civilized society a person just don't start smacking ppl if they are in a state of distress...and again it doesn't't matter whether ones's mother is dying or not...it simply doesn't give you the right to hurt others. And now coming to Razia...we definitely don't have any double standards ...we haven't emphasized on her simply because the deeds and sins of the villian are always defamed...it doesn't leave an impact on anyone but domestic violence by a hero does and it violates the societal norms even more if that same violence is promoted as passion.

This is nothing personal...it's just that we believe in certain things whereas you don't...which is completely fine but I hope you understand that using abusive words against us will not help in anything because we will not stop criticizing this matter as much the same way you will not stop praising the romance.

Holy Canoli!

People are paranoid !!! There's no conspiracy, there's no enmity with other shows or with the actors here...I wish people would take the trouble to actually read the letter before making such unwarranted accusations!
