We came together on this forum to discuss similar ideas. The issue is serious as it teaches women that this is an essence of a relationship and that is not the case. Abuse incidents among South East Asians are higher than ever and when the media - a major form of social control continues to perpetuating a myth that this is normal and even attractive, it makes our work a lot harder.
