Zoya deserves better...

Every Woman deserve better. It's about relationships... its about love ...and its about marriage...its very important that the man in her life treats her well... but more importantly, it's about how she allows herself to be treated.

I find it very demeaning as a woman when a man takes a woman for granted and repeatedly abuse her existence, her self-respect, her motives. This is unacceptable for me as a woman to see that an innocent, pure hearted wonderful, vivacious woman like zoya is being repeatedly mistreated.

Is it really necessary to show zoya become this helpless and not fight for her honor or self- respect just because she feels compelled to stay in Asad's house because she is in search of her father? Is it completely necessary to break this girl into pieces that she has no identity and existence left?

Why is it so necessary to show that a man has the liberty to behave this way...it is a fact that he physically and mentally abuses her... he might have had a terrible childhood but that does not give him the right and liberty to treat another human being so miserably.

Just a while ago the Mod closed the topic and you are back to making another? Tjough u might think u havent used the word "slap" thats where the topic will lead to and eventually get closed again.

Not sure if we are witnessing pleasure being derived BSMD style - I think there is incredible confusion for some when they think this is 50 Shades of Grey. Consent is the key.

Fighting for what? You think ranting here in IF will give justice to all the womens who r abused? Dont u after 4 days of discussion that you will stick to ur poimt and they will to theirs. You should hace used ur Thinking brains here!

Sorry, I don't agree. Sadism is defined as taking pleasure out of giving someone else pain. I didn't see Asad enjoying seeing Zoya in pain at all. He wanted to make her feel horrible because he felt horrible, which is no good, but it's not sadism. 😕

i think it falls in the category of sadism ecause it was very clear that he was aware of Zoya's deceased mother...someone who deliberately hurts one with the knowledge of infliction of pain is part of sadistic behavior.

I think QH cannot be compared with 50 shades of grey...exactly...mutual consent is everything.

KaganLover. I think you have missed the big picture here...because one person spoke out - many many people have connected here who are completely outraged at what we saw. We came together on this forum to discuss similar ideas. We don't go on the threads of people who are pro-slapping but we do notice that you always come to ours and taunt and insult us and then request for our threads to be shut down. You want us to leave but show no respect that what we bring here is a valid point that is seriously damaging to our society. Forums are very powerful social media entities and an avenue to voice discontent. We are voicing it here and elsewhere.

The issue is serious as it teaches women that this is an essence of a relationship and that is not the case. Abuse incidents among South East Asians are higher than ever and when the media - a major form of social control continues to perpetuating a myth that this is normal and even attractive, it makes our work a lot harder.

At least it will teach these CVs that violence in the name of romance is not accepted! Just because "OMG, its only a TV show" doesn't make it okay to LOVE this kind of behaviour. Like you obviously do.
