Even courts give a chance to the assaulter to explain. Whether it is an impulsive act or premeditated one. We have seen Asad fighting goons to save Zoya or when he thinks the goons are wrong. Here Zoya does everything which he forbids her to and she is staying in his house. He gave that slap to convey physically what he thought about her acts of omission and commission because she was doing her own thing without realising the consequences. In his eyes she is a stupid, clumsy thing. Now the ball is Zoya's court. She can stop being friendly with such a man even if he asks her forgiveness. She has every right to protest and even go to court, to police but if she starts loving him, then it shows the weakness of a woman.
