Exactly my point, knowing tht in majority of the cases its mostly the female section of the society being harassed by the male section but getting tht issue in ths case is something bigger bcz as a whole irrespective tht Asad is a lil conservative towards women but he does respect them...Just bcz in ths case tht sumone who he thght was responsble fr his amii;'s condition turned out to be Zoya doesnt mean we can mix the two issues...
Infact thr was ths interview of KSG where he said tht though Asad is conservative the main rsn for his bhvr is bcz he is scared of losing the few ppl who r close to him

exactly one cnt mix
a bigger issue or a sensitive issue with this

Bcoz the main point of this debate is Asad slapped the person whom he thought was responsible for his mothers condition and not the fact tht ' tht sumone is a gal'

He should not have slapped the person period and most of all because she was a girl.

dts y they hav a contrasting nature
zoya is way too bubbly n doesnt thnk b4 doing stuff
nd asad s way to serious
both will change thoda thoda
asad will make her bit serious n life
nd zoya will make asad a happy go lucky guy
nd dts exactly wt i thnk is planned ahead
n it wud be fun to see dt
jadu ki jhappi or asya bht jaldi nhn hai😆

So across all the debates raging from yesterday, slap justified vs. not justified, the one common theme i have seen a lot of people bringing up is the fact there are double standards...

...that people seem fine with the zillion examples of the heroine slapping the hero but the reverse creates a furore of domestic violence...
Am very curious, what are these zillion instances of the heroine slapping the hero people are talking about?
Do tell.

See My Reply I Have Quoted Some Examples

Zoya could have slapped Asad for almost having her married to Akram when he insisted on her going to meet him and clarify why she didn't get married.

Brilliant Point! 👏 Thank you

First of all, this is NOT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE..Domestic violence is between PARTNERS...ASYa is not that yet..so it was one individual slapping another in an extreme fit of rage!

Examples of women slapping men-

Check this out- comes under domestic violence...http://www.marriagemissions.com/husband-abuse-can-a-wife-abuse-her-husband/

This one does not come under domestic violence: answers your Q: http://boards.askmen.com/showthread.php?95563-Women-Who-Slap-Men

Dear deejay,
Chill! Asad was in an extreme fit of rage- a father hits a child, a child hits a mother, a friend hits a friend...when they think the other person has really crossed their limits.

Actually Chicksoup i kind of agree with you, coz this is not domestic violence that a lot of people are hinting at... but by which rishta did he really slap her... she is neither a friend nor a wife/ gf... and if he goes about slapping all the people responsible for hurting dear ones, he should slap Haseena bi (Nikhat's greedy to be MIL), his Mamu (for trying to kill Zoya)... why only Zoya?

'Feministic EGO'????? 😕😕😕
I am assuming you are a girl Chicksoup, would you really call her saving Mariam that?????

nd y r ppl nly picking up this slap issue?
acc to u a guy shudnt hit a girl
but is it ok for a guy to hit another guy or women hitting another?
cos they r of equal size n strength
just taking gender as a base is not gona serve d dicusion as right or wrong
n y ppl r not saying make nikhats character strong?
y asad shud teach haseena bi?
by showing nikhat taking a step n teaching haseena bi
will actually show womens empowerment
nd even humera shud fight with her mom
y s she quiet?

dont you guys get fed up of discussing same thing again and again

its just a frictional show and thru frictional show nobody try to promo vilolence for that crime based show is there ... why dont you go there and discuss there when there they capture real story

There were many good things to discuss upon but all choose slap .. if all wanna talk abt bad things then they shld talk abt good things too

Look i think the discussion is not about the 'slap'... it is more about people who feel it is justified and those who think it isnt... both sides are deeply disturbed that the other side can think in this way...
And if you think it is a fictional show (though frictional too 😉) and hence doesnt merit serious discussion then i am sorry to disillusion you... please read this article post the recent case which talks of how 'popular entertainment' and not the serious/real story kinds that perpetrate and reinforce stereotypes... so the subtle change has to be seeded in every moment...
by all means do discuss the good things, i would do, but dont berate those of us who still feel a little sad about a particular issue
My opinion, no offence meant
