Exactly my point, knowing tht in majority of the cases its mostly the female section of the society being harassed by the male section but getting tht issue in ths case is something bigger bcz as a whole irrespective tht Asad is a lil conservative towards women but he does respect them...Just bcz in ths case tht sumone who he thght was responsble fr his amii;'s condition turned out to be Zoya doesnt mean we can mix the two issues...
Infact thr was ths interview of KSG where he said tht though Asad is conservative the main rsn for his bhvr is bcz he is scared of losing the few ppl who r close to him

i feel like taking Asad's respect for women with a pinch of salt...
he seems to respect women who behave a certain way deemed correct by him (dressed a certain way, behave a certain way) Dont you remember his first injunction to Zoya saying if 'if women dress/ behave differntly, they deserve the male behaviour they get'...
he seems to respect women in his house when they behave the way he wants them to (he didnt hesitate to yell at the mother when he thought she had met his father, he yelled at Najma for being liberal, that is why they are so scared of him)
he doesnt respect women for having an opinion of their own
he ignores women who might have been rape victims instead of having been livid about what happened to his cousin, instead of helping her...
in all he just seems to be someone who is only concerned about his sphere of influence and mostly when they abide by his rules

cos they r of equal size n strength

n y ppl r not saying make nikhats character strong?
y asad shud teach haseena bi?
by showing nikhat taking a step n teaching haseena bi
will actually show womens empowerment
nd even humera shud fight with her mom
y s she quiet?

absolutely agree with you... loved it when Nikhat told her parents not to beg Haseena bi for her sake.. she actually got up and stood for herself..

Do you want a hero to be perfect or with some weaknesses too? In this world no one is perfect.

Spreading awareness for what ??? Everyone knws tht hitting anyone irrespective of tht persons gender is wrong, y only highlight this issue...
I m in no way supporting Asad nor the slap, every coin has two sides, and thinking from both the pov's i dont think anyone was at fault out here...What evr zoya did was out of humanity to save a gal who was being forced by her family to marry tht jerk...but again when asad was ignoring her and knwing he gets angry very fast when its related to his famiy issue, zoya shld have waited before confrnting him...Still i know tht just not justify his act of slapping her but again dont u think tht at tht point Zoya was the person who was responsible for his mothers condition, do u really think he was in a position to think straight and act accordingly

My main point is before pointing fingers at anyone it is very imp to understand both the pov's and see what the cv's have in store for us...In no way does tht mean i am supporting the slap nor does tht imply tht i m against watevr happened...

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, since things cant be chnged now, i would want to see how Asad rectifies his mistakes [he shld be a given a chnce to prove himself it not tht he is bad or anti females] the road to redemption is wat i want to see n thn the mitwa moments

Absolutely agree... at no point did we bring in the gender issue, we merely said that the slap was not justified... to which people brought in examples of how nobody would have said anything if ZOya had slapped Asad... which i dont believe... becasue i have seen enough examples of violent outbursts talking about how she didnt see his POV..
So here too... why dont you see it from Zoya's POV... she sent Mariam away as per his wish, she tried to stop the shooter... she tried to support him during his time of sadness and all she got was a slap...
i dont think it is about male vs. female... it is about whether the slap was justified or not... and i beleive it was not

Huh? so you say the people who will die in the end and go to hell can make merry in this life... but those who are assured of heaven later need to balance that with yellings in this life?

correct... we are debating whether the slap is justified or not

Asad's character has been shown pretty conservative, and though he had stated that ppl who dress lyk this [Zoya], they deserve the male bahaviour they get he didnt mean it...he has acted judgmental sometyms lyk the whole Akram issue but when he got to know the truth he didnt even care about his life just to save Zoya's...Somehow i think the situation he has seen in his childhood, the circumstances he had to go through a child have left a deep impact on him but still somewhr i think he does all this bcoz he doesnt want to see them hurt...

In dilshad's case, he yelled at her bcoz knwing Rashid he knw tht Rashid will never take stand for his ex-family and he didnt want his mother to have false hopes.
With Najma or the younger one [nikhat's younger sis] he just wants to protect them thinkning tht somehow if they conduct themselves in a certain way they wont attract unwanted attention ..

I think though his ways/precautions are wrong he just wants good for the ppl he care about, handling everything on his own since childhood he thinks its his duty to protect his family...There r tyms when even i fail to understand how the cv's want to shape his character but again till now he has no body in his lyf with whom he can share his prob, insecurity i guess thts his way of dealing with situation and now since he'll have Zoya's support we can expect a completely new Asad [ for good]

i didnt mean it in the literal way, what i meant was tht till now he doesn't think thrs a need to deal with these ppl but merely bcoz he isnt aware of thr real intention
