Actor Hansika Motwani and businessman Sohael Khaturiya have officially ended their marriage after the Bandra family court in Mumbai granted them a divorce. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2022, had been surrounded by speculation about trouble in their relationship for months, though Motwani had largely stayed away from commenting on the rumours.

The separation has now been finalised through mutual consent. According to reports, the actor chose not to seek streedhan or alimony as part of the settlement, bringing a quiet and amicable end to their marriage.

Differences Emerged Soon After Marriage

Legal proceedings revealed that the couple had spent only a short period living together after their wedding before realising that their relationship was facing serious challenges. Advocate Adnan Shaikh, who represented Motwani during the case, indicated that the pair began noticing significant differences in their personalities and perspectives early on.

Over time these differences reportedly grew more visible. Variations in temperament, lifestyle choices, and viewpoints gradually created friction between them, which made it increasingly difficult to maintain harmony in their shared life.

Arguments Over Small Matters

Court documents stated that even routine situations often turned into disagreements between the couple. What began as minor issues frequently escalated into arguments, making day to day life together increasingly stressful.

As these conflicts continued, both Motwani and Khaturiya began to realise that their relationship was struggling to find stability. The couple eventually reached the conclusion that continuing the marriage under such circumstances would only lead to further strain.

Before deciding to part ways, family members and close friends reportedly attempted to help the couple reconcile. Several efforts were made to encourage them to resolve their differences and rebuild their relationship.

Despite those attempts, the situation did not improve. The couple had been living separately since July 2, 2024 and eventually agreed to end the marriage through mutual consent. Both parties submitted affidavits confirming that neither would pursue financial or legal claims against the other.

The marriage did not result in any children, and the divorce now marks the formal conclusion of their relationship.
