@ShrutiRaina You misunderstood my post. Being new to Indian shows, I just asked a question whether the PH is known for the types of storylines and characters we are witnessing in QH? Or whether Asad is so stauch and unyeilding because he is a conservative Muslim guy? I just put forth a query and I wasn't making any judgements. Anyways RandomSquared has clarified to me that this is definitely a 4Lions thing and that is only what I wanted to know =)

Edit: Gul even said that this will be a show which will break Muslim stereotypes... It was pitched as something else but it has veered off into being a standard 4Lions fare. I get that now.

What happened in Mangalpur definitely changed Asad's outlook towards Zoya. He definitely has concern for her and respects her now (remember the look he gives when his Mamu tells the reason for Mariyam's forced marriage and guilt later on).

But, he doesn't want to show his new found respect or concern for her in front of his Mom! Showing any concern for Zoya in front of his mom, means there is a reason behind it and that reason he doesn't want to tell (that the marriage didnot happen, that Mariam was raped, that Mariyam was forced to marry her rapist, that Zoya helped Mariyam runaway, that Zoya was almost killed and everythng else). He wants to show that everything (marriage) happened as planned in front of his mom. That is the reason why though internally he feels differently about Zoya now, he wants to pretend how he was earlier in front of his mother.

Giving up that means giving out the horrific details of what happened at Mangalpur and he doesn't want that and he is sure the ppl at Mangalpur aren't going to call and tell anything.

In short, he wants to keep everything As Normal As Possible, that means, treat her as he treated before (pre-mangalpur) in front of his family. Hence, calling her a Problem and such...

besides that I just want to point out that zoya doesnt love Asad either yet and she isnt really waiting for Asad to love her back. Their equation right now is a bit of a question mark.

Also I think one shud understand Asad's point of view too. I mean yes Zoya went thru something rly horrible and she has all of my sympathy for that and Asad shud be kinder to her because of what happened. BUT Asad did tell her to leave and she didnt listen. If you think of this whole thing from his point of view..i know i wud keep thinking back to the fact that if Zoya had just listened to me and left none of this would have happened. And neither of them wud have had to deal with that whole situation. Not only did Zoya put herself in danger she also put Asad in danger too.

But yeah im sick of Asad's "i cant wait until you leave" rant. I thought after Zoya like died for a few seconds he would never say that again.

I think deep down Zoya knows that Asad is putting up a barrier, she knows he is capable of love. She has seen him with his mum, his sister and even his care for Ayaan. After the Mangalpur incident, she is aware that she is also part of that list for Asad.
