& what about the candles & flowers ? Even if a dead person was buried there, you shouldn't cover it up with flowers.

Um...the big red square are in the middle...being sprinkled with rose petals...was the grave/shrine...😆
It's not unusual for a saint's grave to be covered with a decorative blanket or a blanket of flowers and such. You know just how people would leave flowers on a grave at the cemetery.
I personally think the money spent on these things would be better off given in charity in that saint's name...at tleast he would get the reward for that...but I guess it's just a way of expressing their respect for the saint.
I haven't seen candles at the Mizaars I visited so I can't comment on that...but perhaps it was visually captivating so they added that.

If you must ask for something, shouldn't you ask Allah & not a human being ? I see that many times in Indian movies & find it very confusing on why they do that.
This is a kind of polytheism and Muslims should not believe in mazars at all,
I'm
Muslim , Sunni and An Arab , i have never seen any Mazaar in my life , it is not reasonable to ask a human being what i need instead of my Allah ?

I also believe in asking only from Allah.
But whether or not you visit a Mizaar...depends on your cultural influences Mariam.
I know many Arabs...especially from Saudia...are more careful than muslims from other parts of the world to avoid Bidah and anything they remotely affiliate with polytheism.
But there is plenty of shiite influences in the Arab world too...so polytheistic influences have crept in.
And there are plenty of shrines in the Arab world too. I myself visited Jordan and went to visit the site of the battle of Muaata (I don't know correct spelling)...where there is a mosque which ecompasses the shrines of 3 great Sahabis...Jaffer bin Abi Talib, Zaid Bin Harith, and Abdullah bin Rawaha (Again excuse the spelling)...people come and offer their respects there.
Similarly I've been to Jerusalem and other parts of Palestine...and many people come and visit the graves of the different prophets and even Sahabis burried there...and pay their respects.
Just like the prophets spread Islam...these saints are revered in various parts of India for doing the same...and so people honor and respect them.
Like I said...a lot of cutlural influences are there...and sometimes a fine line of demarcation exists between true belief and Bidah...but you cannot automatically label something as such.
It all depends on the intention...and that is only for God to judge.

Well to first answer question
Not all muslims go to pray to humans...
It is actually Haraam ( forbidden ) in Islam... [ That is what I know ]
Most muslims just pray in front of Allah...
Its only in India tht is done...
This is the reason why it shown in Serials and Movies tht we go and pray in front of them...
When actually a very small percentage of muslims do it...
I know most of it as I live in Saudi Arabia...
Hope ur doubt is clear... 😊

@ bold: I don't agree..I've seen it done in Data Darbar in Lahore Pakistan...and other places too.
I think too much is being made out of this...I mean they didn't show any of the characters praying to the saint...just coming there to seek solace.

True.! I loved Azad/Zoya scenes.I think they look beautiful together.!.But the rest was just meh. That fight scene??.WTH was that??LMAO.They were like fighting and dancing, clicking their fingers ??Urrgh not happening. But I am still banking on the love story for which I am watching the show lol.Cant relate to Ayaan's character one bit.He seems all over the place atm.I think the show could have done with just two leads..though I am waiting to see more of the brothers bond.

As far as I know, you shouldn't throw or decorate someones grave with flowers like how the people here in the West do.
