I didn't stick with Revenge for lack of time...cause me and my daughter were glued to science fiction at that time...Terranova, The River, Fringe ( all created to fill the void left by LOST)..they all ended..people don't like science fiction much..Revenge is a big hit.Your post is still going strong,108 pages. Shanthi, type "RabbaVe on piano". On YT..it will fill your heart ...this kid plays all the BG scores on piano...my daughter promised me she will learn the tune

Sab, Sheserkobita , the recitation of the last poem is available in YT.

Just watched " Son of Sardar". Hilarious, no junk, pure entertainment.

Worth watching full family.

Want to know your opinion.
I have read the novel at least hundred times, yet
Cant't say, fully understood.
The charm is eternal.

Wows sameer.. Thank you ... It will not be an easy read... Something is always lost in translation...and it was written almost 100 yrs ago...but his influence remains in all forms of art ..So my parents thought PKDH could be based on Shesherkobita...

AK...my parents thought if "Hum Dil Day Chuke Sanam" could be based on a crazy fan or Tagore lover's story then why can't PKDH be a recent adaptation? After all Shesherkobita is pretty modern in concept for that time.

The concept was Platonic love which is extinct now.

"Translation is like a French Lady, either faithful or beautiful".

Sameer, what is your mother tongue ?

I checked, one English translation of SK costs about $450.

I have Bengali version.

Hindi is there.

Many think, Gora is Tagore's best novel. I am not qualified enough to argue but I liked

SK very much, more than Gora.
