The time displacement was quite a whiplash for the three of them. To Abhay it was outlandish but for Pia and Diana it was rather weird to view their town so different. There were some building work going on at a construction site Pia knew at the DEN a place where most of the youngsters hung out playing video games, a coffee club, juice bar a place to come and chill was only being built. Then there were a strange aftershock of seeing some of their neighbours almost seeing through them like they'd felt some presence. They had the wiccan blood in their bodies even if they neglected to acknowledge their powers for the sake of keeping the peace with their elders.
Diana picked up her pace to follow the magical trails their spell was leading them in some local town hall. She was deeply disturbed by the way their mission was shaping up because it meant something bad was going to happen sooner or later. It was the morbidity of the situation she dreaded the most. Diana's heart was racing like crazy with all the suspense. What were they all doing here? Abhay kept himself busy making sure the girls were safe because he had inkling something terrible was going to happen. As soon as they'd arrived the doors closed behind them. Pia had tightened her grip on Abhay holding his hands for supports. She was feeling a little nervous because the truth may deliver some bitter, harsh reality she might not be ready to accept, if Abhay wasn't with her she didn't know what she'd have done.
The hall was dimly lit for a mysterious black hooded guy. Pia felt like this was some cult. The dark figure had such an intense aura about him. She'd send an inert affinity in the way he displayed himself to a politician running for some campaign. As soon as he spoke, not a pin dropped, he used his authority over these teenagers before him. Pia admired the spunk, the passion he had towards his craft and used his magical prowess in order to maintain his plight.
The man was staring right back at Pia aware of her presence divulging some secrets on purpose-This emergency has arisen from the imminent dangers headed our way. We must fight using our powers. To protect our future, some of U are vulnerable but the strength U possess is inborn. I can't command U to do anything but as your leader it is my responsibility to protect U all (Pauses for a second then in an unyielding manner) I will use all of my powers if I have to. Diana felt emotional upon seeing the way her mother was rubbing her stomach-So who is after them? What's with all the suspense?
This was supposed to be some historic event for the future, thought Diana, It all seemed jaded, a boring UP UNTIL THE SOUND OF TROUBLE.
Grams stormed in looking hale and hearty eyes looking thunderously at the teenagers. For a second Pia thought she was going to get a scolding. A quick diversion was'.Then she caught Abhay's icy blue eyes confirming Grams couldn't see her making Pia relax a little.
Grams was in showing signs of being pure magic towards the hooded man waving her hand in front of him in anger, bellowing at the top of her lungs-U dare to go against my wishes and bring my daughter to this forsaken path to destruction! Another time leap and this time they were met with a secret they hadn't anticipated.
Pia gulped as she saw a woman looking into a mirror whose reflection was of another woman whose eyes were as dark as the night but her face was masked. Pia's mother was hovering behind her with a needle while Grams was chanting a spell knocking her out.
Grams resonated in an anguished tearful duty bound witch-I'm so sorry! (Her tears spoke of the hardship she had to endure) I can't allow U to influence my Grandchild in darkness. She must remain Pure to goodness than be inflicted by the evil U have to offer her.
Pia had cowered straight into Abhay's arms upon witnessing such a shocking act of betrayal-But...Grams is incapable of such hypocracy, of such duplicity...My mother isn't my mother. Is this why she resented me???

Another time warp to a flying visit to the sunny side to Manhatten where Sonia and Nathan were leading an ordinary life had found themselves in a predicament. Pixie at 4 months old was faced by an anomaly. She was facing life and death. Grams made an urgent call.

In solitude Nathan and Grams have a heart to heart discussing about any potential attacks-I'm worried about them. She's growing weaker as Pixie grows stronger in power.

Nathan agreed with his mother-in-law. He was opposed to the use of magic. This preconceived notion of a child shouldering so much burden, misfortune, was no life for Pixie-I concur but Sonia might have some reservations.
Sonia with a heavy heart felt her daughter had a right to defend herself using magic-Mom, Pixie has an obligation to the craft she was born into. If they find her how will she know right from wrong? How will she protect herself against them? She deserves a right to choose what she wants.
Grams determined to win had argued back-Pixie will do this when she is older, for this she'll have us but let her have a normal childhood. Its what we all owe her. Who knows what the future holds for her but if i can help it she will be protected from the truth. It will damage her forever to learn how her Mother and Father used their greed for Power to obtain her gifts for who knows what purpose. Do U want this legacy fr Pixie? To grow up living in shame, guilt of what was never in her control. We can never control the action of others but of our own.

This was the last time Pia had ever seen of her Mother who was actually her Aunt. She was strapped and taken away by a psychiatric team of witches to a facility Pia had never heard of. Sonia's mind was filled with hatred towards Pia. Dark powers had worked against her slowly taking over. It eventually took everything she loved. They'd found her. Used her love for Pixie, for her husband against her. Pia finally understood what went wrong with her Mum. They had got to her. They'd succeeded in their attempts to ruin her life. Sonia had begun hearing voices with ill intent on the daughter she'd raised with so much love little by little resenting her until the child was emotionally scarred for life. They'd poisoned Sonia's mind pummeling her beautiful soul with doubt seeping through eventually paranoia had enveloped her beyond any reasoning. All Sonia saw was destruction and Pixie was at the heart of this. Sonia had the misfortune of killing Nathan which only brought the end of a sound minded witch's end.
Diana was back to her home where she had overheard her Father with Grams about a pact they'd made to remain a secret-Pia and the youngsters must never know. We have all lost someone we love because of him. Of them...!!!!! They are Power Hungry. Who knows what they'll do if they ever find them. I need us all to protect the children. We can't bind their powers forever.
Just like this Pia, Abhay and Diana were back to their time loop. By now Pia was a bundle of hurt as she huddled in comfort to Abhay's embrace.
Abhay held Pia close but he was troubled by the past. Pia's history had brought more questions on why Pia had faced death every year on the day his teens were born. Pia's identity raised eyebrows. He saw how deeply disturbed Pia was by the way she was clinging on to him like he was all she knew was good in her life.
While Pia refused to be subdued by her tragic life. If anything it had made her more resilient, more fired up to unearth the mystery behind her friends murders and if this was all tied up to her birth parents. Were they searching for her? If so why kill innocent witches when they could have come to her.
At Abhay's residence his hybrids were now settling themselves back to their old routines. Vedhant had decided to be succinct about the course he wanted to take on at UCLA because he would prefer to take a computer engineering course and maybe even go on a comic con with all the nerds for the summer break. His siblings had given him their permission but it was all down to their father. Unfortunately the residual feelings they were picking up from this place was very bad.
Khushi ribbed her brother on his choices as being a joke aggravated his plight-I can't believe my brother is a geek. Computing, going on conventions to meet weird people. Dad is going to love this. (Ruffling her brothers hair in a mocking fashion) Don't we have to stick together forever?
