Mittals r orthodox & backward or what????😕
their all serials r almost same types. traditional look of dils & cruel, harsh behavior of mils. in all serials there is GHUNGAT on all dils head. if that is DIYA AUR BATI HUM,KAIRI or PUNARVIVAH. why this old fashioned trend they r introducing once again in tellywood???? what's the motive behind this??? is Mrs. Mittal herself doing all that at her own home. like sir pe pallu & all that old fashioned stuff????
i really don't like this GHUNGAT PRATHA. 😡
plsss yaar be practical what is all this??? r u all with this old traditions & customs who r giving step treatment to women & secondary importance to their individual identity????

UPDATED
many of my frnds getting me wrong here and i want to explain my POV here.if u r doing something 4 sometimes or occasionally then that is not under forceful things, or any wrong custom.
ok u all r asking what is wrong in it. i tell u now if u r talking abt occasionally basis then i am also confused whether it is right or wrong. but when someone is doing this everyday then this really not favorable 4 me at least. this is not d issue of cover ur head. this is abt. when u have to cover ur head u covered ur likes, dislikes, demands, individual thoughts, desires, consent, willingness under that GHUNGAT or PALLU. u have no freedom to express urself, no freedom to do waht u want,no freedom to discuss ur thoughts, no importance abt ur opinions, these r just not considerable 4 them(elders).u r just nonliving puppet 4 them. whom they want to move here & there that's it.u r not human being 4 them. this is i want to say abt this GHUNGAT PRATHA. this not d issue abt cover ur head with cloth. this is abt cover ur individuality under this PALLU. i am talking abt freedom which these type of women want but they can't get. i don't mind to cover head only but not by surrendering myself,my individuality, my individual thoughts. this is i want to say.

it's ok if they r doing this just 4 formality then that is defiantly not harmful. i am talking abt individuality which also get coverd under this GHUNGAT. only covering ur head is not harmful i also know that. but i am talking abt this harmful custom who snatches their human rights, their identity, their willingness.
ya i know today's situation is better than previous. now women also doing what they want, they r also independent, thoughtful. so i just hope this ruthless GHUNGAT PRATHA (not just covring ur head) will stop in future atleast.

Ok, I am marwari living in US. My inlaws are from city as big as Bhopal, maybe bigger and we have too many realtives there, on in laws side, I have to wear palla on my head specially infront of elders.
I usually go for a max two weeks in two years so don't mind but all my SIL in family does that and some are from rich families living in larger cities.
I know people living in metro thinks that it is backward, but if you go mid tear cities they do have this tradition in big families.
Just my POV, I don't think they are showing unreality here😊

I agree that, they're showing orthodox ways, but these ways are always being challenged, and the challenger wins. They don't portray all of this to promote it, but to show growth. Watch, sooner or later, Aarti is going to drop the ghunghat too. Her and Pari both take if off the moment they're in their rooms. One of these days they'll forget, and then just slowly stop bothering.

Its strange, but I find PV, with all its 'traditional' trappings, much more progressive, then say, shows like Kya Hua Tera Vaada. Both shows are dealing with a similar message these days: a woman's personal identity.
PV stays strong that Aarti is Aarti, and no matter how many times a person calls her Arpita, or insists she be called such, she will stay her own individual self.
Then you have a 'modern' show like KHTV, with all the trappings of a modern show (i.e: they live alone, have a flat etc). But, after stating that Mona has no identity other than that of a wife (Mrs Pradeep Singh, I think they said), they go on to expressly state that that is okay. She is currently on a fight to win back her husband, after he has abandoned her and her children for another woman. He doesn't even want partial custody of their children, and is shocked (and annoyed) that Mona wants them to stay with him. He preemptively agrees to any condition she has (in order to get a divorce), because he's just that adamant about getting rid of her.

Then you have PV. Aarti's pain, and unwillingness to let go, isn't portrayed as her 'duty' to her husband. In fact, it was shown in a way that made us almost a little disgusted with her desperation.
I know its strange, but once I looked beyond the physical trappings of family dinners with bahus as servers, an extended family home, ghunghats, and a horrible MIL, I started to love them for what they symbolize. In this show, all of these trappings are being portrayed as traditional (and maybe a little regressive, depending on the trapping), but they aren't being shown as 'correct'. That's key. Normally I don't watch Saas Bahu shows, but PV is sort of re-defining the genre. Hope it sticks.

well not all cities are like Bombay Delhi Bangalore

Secondly in 50% joint families fall in this category. So they are not showing anything out of ordinary.

Just becasue you can afford 100 cars , live in mansion and have lot of money doesn't make you changes your custom tradition outlook broadmindedness . It is all slow process and requires very delicate balance of what is acceptable to what extent .

Those are the issues they are very nicely bring forth with this show. Like Praidhi asking how to address her husband, respect is not in trying to use his name or not use his name , it is in yur heart. You can't be saying ajee suniyae ji and cursing poor hubby under ghoonghat. Or publicly disagree with your husband and create scene in front of several members of family. In that case you have insulted him no matter what.

agree :) After watching the promos I thought, the families of AarYa are modern enough for re-marriage!💔

And I also expected Aarti would wear Chudidaars I mean, she looks gorgeous in saaree, but still I loved her Suits!

And Oh Yash denies to give the care of his children to Aarti?!! Lmaao.. Why don't he hire a nanny! Why re-marrying if Aarti was only meant for dressing up the kids & not taking resonsibility of them!! And the name change thing, I hate her when they call Arpita!
🥺 Will someone in modern day accept some dead person's name??🤣

These are the minute negative points, but hmmm lets be positive n enjoy the cute interaction of the family :D Loving Ansh n kids talk, but CVs don't show rasams and add at least tiniest, cute AarYa moments:)
😍

I hate that Gaytru=i nd papa scindhiya.. Yeah kida Orthodaox cvs :p

i read all d comments & i respect ur feelings by wholeheartedly. i am not saying that they r showing unrealistic stuff. i know in many states this GHUNAT PRATHA is still alive. but my simple question is do u find this right???? don't u think this is disrespectful, insulting & unnecessary???? do u also want to follow them in future????
this is not d issue of big cities or small towns. this is abt all this is right or wrong??? come on yaar we r in 21st century. we r independent ,thoughtful women. we r individual personalities like men. then why this difference??? plsss don't get me wrong but i wonder if todays women also think like this way then how this disrespectful customs will stop in future??? i am not saying that all customs & rituals r hopeless or outdated or backward. but this GHUNGAT PRATHA is really very unnecessary in todays life. & if this is going in many states then also it is not favorable. at least i think so.
