Evening all,

Loved today's episode but not here to discuss that 😆

Haven't got a clue if this has been discussed or not..if it has then oops...but don't you all think it's slightly strange that no ladies were seen in the marriage from the groom's side?

I mean at least an aunt, cousin sister, servant or whatever!!...but none were seen..a little odd isn't it?

Noticed it today lol

In north, ladies do not attend weddings of their sons. They tend to stay at home and welcome his bride with the rest of the women in their family :D

In some rural parts of the country women arent taken as a part of the bharath. Also because it is believed women arent supposed to set foot outside their village.

They stay back overseeing the preparation to welcome the new 'bahu.'

It would have been odd if it was a real wedding.Itz just an eyewash to pass weapons across border illegally. Why would they keep women instead of trained gunmen?

Varun's uncle mentioned that the ladies were waiting on the other side of the border to welcome the bride. And they also produced papers to cross the border. May be the women are not allowed to cross the border in their community. That's why the brides who get married and go to the other side never return. But good point!!

Earlier days ...baraats never had women , they used to wait at home to welcome the bride . Even nowaday in villiages ...a baraat , especially the one's who go to a different villiage , do not have women. 😊
I will tell you another one ...even now in North Indian villiages , ppl donot marry within the same villiage , ie a boy and a girl of the same villiage cannot marry each other as are considered brothers- sisters.

This sounds silly but actually is a huge probelm ...leads to killings etc.

I did not think it strange as women are not supposed to be part of the barat.
However, what is strange is the no female relative of the bride is accompanying her to new home. Usually a cousin or aunt goes with her, to keep her company.
At least that is what happens in my experience.
