Yarriyan has collected far more than DI and it shows how big star madhuri, nasru...(whatever) and arshad warsi really are.

kahaani and english vinglish openend very small, but good word of mouth made them big hits. i see the same happening with dedh ishqiya. the reviews are excellent so if will pick up.

I just read the story of Yaariyan...in a review...such a ridiculous movie...See this is the reason why producers don't cast older actresses in their movies...no one watches them...and then we blame BW for not casting them in movies

Reason is, the music of Dedh Ishqiya was a big flop. Not a single good song. None of the stars are big enough to get audiences to theatres. On the other side, Yaariyan has hit music + youth centric film. So it was obvious it would get a better opening.
