JODHA AKBAR MAY PREMIERE AT CANNES 2007

"Jodha Akbar" will be there representing India, possibly in a special section dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Indian independence, which coincides with Cannes' 60th. Pic starring Aishwarya Rai (a former Cannes juror) and superstar Hrithik Roshan was helmed by "Lagaan's" Ashutosh Gowariker.

wow thatz great news...i cant wait till Oct. 20....i am eagerly waiting for the movie and promos to air up....Asuthosh is working very hard on the film and hope the movie is a huge success

if this true, international media will rediscover hrithik roshan and he can get the well deserved attention from western media, and may be some grt hollywood flicks

JA shooting is postponed to June coz of the Ash-Abhi wedding tht is slated for Apr 20th....Ash might take a month off after her wedding.....JA is about 90% complete so far and Ashu doesnt want to rush things, so he's decided to postpone the shooting to June.....

So its unlikely tht JA will premier at Cannes...coz Cannes happens in MAy if I remember right......its obviously disappointing, consdierin Cannes is the perfect platform for a film like JA.

I hope they somehow manage to premier the movie Cannes...I'd do anything to watch Ashthik walk the red carpet together with Hrithik in a tuxedo n Ash is a gown.

I hope Ashu some how is able to finish JA before the Cannes....because if its 90% done...and Abi/Aish marriage is on April 15 or something like that then i hope Aish can finish the movie first and then take off her one month...but i hope the films does go to Cannes...as like you said that Cannes definitly is a great platform for a film like JA
