Aman walked to the ETF office and went directly to his cabin.he looked around happily. He had indeed missed it in last few days.he heard a knock and saw a hand fullof bangles opening the door, and agirl with a great smile walking in.
"look who is back? ACP Aman himself? Kaha the SIR?? ithne din se gayab kyu the?"
"oh.. so someone did notice that I was missing."
"that was a very lame joke Aman"
They smiled greeting each other and sat down.
"so... did someone actually miss me?" he had a naughty note.
"of course Aman...ye bhi koi puchne wale bath hai?"
Aman raised his eyebrows questioning her. She took the slip and carried on to hide it. "ETF ke second in command ek hafthe se leave pe ho... obviously the team will miss him na?"
"oh... like that... mujhe kuch aur laga"
"jaise...?" Sakshi had a smile too.
"rehne do Ms.Anand."
"ok... so how was your work?"
"went well. It was not that tough. Aur fir hamare chief ne 2 din ke leave bhi diya. So went home..."
"home??"
"FYI...even I too have a family Sakshi"
"yeah..we never spoke of it. kaun kaun hai ghar pe?"
"ghar pe..." he couldn't continue as Sree knocked at his door and walked in. "good morning Sir"
Am: good morning Sree? Kaise ho?
Sr: I am good.aap kab aye?
Am: aaj sabere.hows work going on?
Sak: Aryan Varma case reopened.
Am:I know. Kuch mila?
Sr: yes and no...
Am:matlab?
Sree and Sakshi explain the recent findings.
Am: tho case shuru hi nahi hua, aur abhi se pressure?great.
They saw Sam walking to the cabin calling them too.they settled soon in the hall.
Sam: Sree uss dhamki wale call ke bare me kya patha chala?
Sr: sir, wo Kerala ke ek local ke naam me hi registered hai. aur abhi sim use me nahi hai.
Sam: so there is someone down there who is playing.
Sak: Aisha ne bathaya ke dhamki seedhe Arjun ki aur hai.
Am: we cant take it at ease.we should do something.
Sam: yes, serious action is needed.

The session was going well. Arjun was used to the pain now and now he was masking it with his will to stand up. But there was something else going on in his mind. What was Aisha hiding? He could read it well that there was something bothering her, even behind her talks and smiles. She was not meeting his eyes when at times which he felt awkward. Though he was giving her time, still it was irritating him a lot.
He was again at the new session area where he was taking his steps. He was supported by Baba's men and himself and Aisha was just away watching him keenly.
He successfully moved from one end to another with lot of time and effort. Now time came to turn about, which was hectic.
As he turned he gasped, got control of his breath and then looked ahead to see some new faces in the hall.
Sree, Aman and Sakshi.
He blinked again to confirm he was not hallucinating. Then when he was sure of it, he smiled.
That one smile was so infectious that it curled up all their lips including Aisha's.
But then the entire trance broke his concentration when he put pressure on the wrong part of the foot, for which he hissed. Baba came forward quickly with the chair and so did others.
He sat down to catch up his breath again. And then looked upto them. "tum sab... kab aye?"
Am: bas thode pehle.
Sakshi hugged Aisha, while Sree kept on looking at Arjun. He had seen Arjun on screen, but to see him this frail was something beyond imagination. The man who was full of energy and vigour needed people to support himself up. It was too much to gather even after mentally preparing himself to watch him. Arjun looked at Sree's face that showed shock and pain.
"aise kya dekh rahe ho Sree? Its me"
Sree was still not in state to react. Arjun looked at Aman, who placed a hand on his shoulder to bring him out of his world.
Sree blinked himself out, looked everywhere but Arjun to compose himself. And then slowly gave his hand to Arjun for a shake hand.
"hi... Sir..."
Arjun still had a smile on. He gave his hand to Sree for the handshake, but then Sree felt a tug at his hand. Arjun was pulling him. He came as such for a hug but was stopped by Arjun's another hand on his shoulder. Sree looked confused at Arjun.
Ar: kafi paseena hai...
Arjun said with a small smile which made Sree to smile too. And everything stopped there when Sree went to his knees and hugged Arjun.
Arjun felt Sree hugging him tight enough. He looked at Aisha who nodded approving him. Arjun hugged back Sree leaning a bit forward to match up to him.
It was true. ACP Rawte was alive. Now he felt it. Sree was confirming hisown thoughts in his mind.
Ar: bas bas Sree... ithna bhi emotional math bano.
Sree left him and saw the glimpse of the Arjun who was married to Aisha, the one who smiled and joined them at those nice cute moments.
Sr: sorry...
He got up and looked about a bit embarrassed. He tucked back his specks as if covering the moist in his eyes.
Sak: awww... kina cute lag rahe hai na hamare Sree? Yaar aise koi ladki ke tharaf math dekhna. She will never leave you. Trust me...
Sr: Sakshi...
Aman patted his back. Baba was enjoying all these moment. He knew there were some visitors as he knew what was going on. Aisha had mentioned about the phone call to him.
Arjun turned to Baba. "aap baki sabko janthe hoga. Ye hai Sree aka Sreekant Sen. Team ka tech expert"
Baba nodded acknowledging him. "acha laga aap sabse milke. Thode bathein karo. Aap sabkeliye kuch bhejtha hu. Arjun, aaj keliye ithna hi kafi hai. we will continue tomorrow."
He agreed and Baba left with his men.
Ar: so... Yaha kaise?
Aman looked at Aisha and then turned back to Arjun. "Aryan case keliye hi. Jab Mumbai me sab settle hua tha,thab Baba ne Aryan ke hostel room ke samaan yaha laya tha. Lets try to look at it."
Ar: par, Baba se kya kahoge?
Aam: kuch din keliye kuch bhi nahi kahega. Dheere dheere puch lenge.
Ar: par uskeliye tum sab yaha rukhne wale ho?
Sak: sab nahi. Sirf Sree.
Ar: what? Par office me?
Sree: mere assiatant hai. She will manage it. Aur Aman sir wapas jarahe hai na. He will coordinate. Bohot din keliye tho nahi hai na. bas kuch din.
Still Arjun was not getting it complete. "Aryan ke cheeson me koi sabooth... I don't think so. It may be a wrong way..."
Sree looked at Aman and Sakshi. He knew Arjun would say so.
Sak: its ok Arjun. ek try karne se kya problem hai?
Sree: lagtha hai aapko mere chutti se problem hai... koi bath nai. Aap jab chaho mujhe order de sakthe ho...
Ar: (smiling) aise koi bath nahi. Khair.. lets give it a try.
Ais: ok, baki bathein baadme. Pehle fresh hothe hai, khana khathe hai... fir baaki sab. Ok?
Ar:yes mam.
They went directly to Arjun's room. Aman and Sree helped him to bed.
Ai: ok. Sakshi... tum aur Sir kab wapas ja rahe ho?
Sak: aaj sham ko flight hai.lunch ke baad yaha se chalege.
Ai: ok... aayiye. Mien aapko fresh hone ka room dikhathi hu.
Arjun agrees and they walks out to the hall were Baba was waiting. Aisha sighes relieved.
Baba: usse kuch patha tho nahi chala?
Ai: abhi thak nai.par kab thak...patha nahi.
Am: I think we can speak to him Aisha. Arjun se chupane ke zaroorath nahi hai.
Ai: patha hai sir. But I don't want him to be stressed. Tho kuch aur samay aise hi rehne do.
Sak: par usse shak hogaya tho?
Sree: I don't think he believed what I said.
Ba: par aapne kya kaha?
Now Sree had no answer too. "bas kuch kuch boldiya..."he smiled off to suppress the topic.
Am: jo bhi hai. Ab aise rahne do. Baba I hope you know whats the situation.
Ba: patha hai. Aisha ne bathaya ke Arjun ko kisine dhamki bheji hai. Tho uske security ke mamle me koi kami nahi hone chahiye.
Am: meine kuch admiyonko yaha aas pas rakha hai. I promise isse aapke ye aapke treatment ya inmates ko koi problem nahi hoga.
Ba: ok Aman. it's not a problem for me.
Ai: ok that settles it. Sree, wo number ke bae me kuch patha chala?
Sree: wo yahi ke local ke naam pe registered hai.details Aman sir check kar lenge.
Am: don't worry Aisha. I'll see to it.
Ai: ok.
Ba: Sree... yaha ke guest room ab khali nahi hai.par tumhe ek alag room deraha hu... um... kuch din se use nahi kiya hai.dont worry its clean. Bas sheets badalna hai.
Sre: its ok baba. Aap mujhe ek sofa du, tho bhi mien sojaunga. I am a good expert in sleeping in sofa.
Ba: iske zaroorath nahi hai.Aryan ke kamra yahi khali hai. wahi sojana.
Sree's face lost its color a bit. Baba said something more and went off.
Am:you ok Sree?
Sre: patha nahi sir.mein unke kamra use karne wala hu jinhe hum dhoond rahe hai.aur baba ko kuch patha bhi nahi.
Sak:hm...
They get fresh up and all have their lunch together with Arjun were they catch up the talks. Arjun gets to know that Sree got Aryan's room which did upset him too.
After lunch Aman left with Sakshi while Sree stayed back. Sree freshed up and joined Arjun, but by that time it was after his medicines. So he was asleep.
Sree walked out with Aisha.its been a long time when she had spent time with Sree. It began with silly talks but went to Arjun, Aryan and cases. Later they joined Arjun when he woke up. This time Sree was giving his hand to help him with Aisha.

Night:
Sree was in his room typing fastly when he heard a knock. Without thinking much he said, "come in"
He looked aside and saw Baba at the door.
Sre: oh sorry sorry... mien kaam me tha... aap the?
Ba: hm... aap bhi kuch alag nahi ho. ek baar uss monitor me guss gaye tho na time, na khana aur na sone ka soch hai. aise kya hai iss screen me?
Sr: ye uthne bhi buri nahi hai baba...ek bar try karke dekhlo. Virtual duniya me ghoomne ka maza hi kuch aur hai. naye dost.. naye rishthe.. naye duniya..
Ba: mere real duniya hi mere liye kaafi hai Aryan...
Sree stopped and so did Baba.
Ba: sorry... Meine galthi se...
Sr: Its ok baba...
Ba: Aryan bhi aise hi the... mujhse hamesha ye sab kehthe tha. Ke social networking aur kuch aur... par mere samajh me ye sab kaise aayega...
He said with a sad smile, which hurt Sree more than ever. He wished to say loud that the Aryan was no more. But he couldn't find his voice anywhere.
Ba: khair... aao dinner karo. Arjun aur Aisha wait kar rahe hai...
Sr: ji...
They went to Arjun'srrom, where Aisha was already serving the plates. They asked Baba to join them too. Aisha and Arjun noticed Sree was silent again, but they kept it to themselves for a while.
After dinner, baba made his maid to take away the plates and left the 3 together.
Ar: kya hua Sree? Pareshan ho?
Sr: baba... Aryan ke bare me keh rahe the... tho..
Ar: I get it Sree. Maana ke hamare profession me emotions ka koi jagah nahi hai. par hum bhi insaan hai. ye sab ek din hona hi tha. Ab hai tho hone do...
Sr: hm...
Ar: kuch mila uss room me?
Sr:nai. Ek cupboard hai jo bandh hai. par keys nai hai. aur thodne ka man bhi nai tha.
Ar: hm...
Aisha'smobile beeped. She looked at the message. "Sakshi aur Sir pohonch gaye hai"
Ar: ok... Sree tum jao aur rest karo. Kal milthe hai.
Sr: ok good night.
Sree goes away and Aisha comes closer to him.
Ar: kuch tho hai jo Sree ko bar bar pareshan kar rahe hai. wo sirf Aryan ke bath nahi hai. par kya? Tumhe patha hai?
She hands over him the tablets and nods no. He again knew it was a lie.
In the room, Sree calls up the men stationed outside and enquires. Aman had left strist orders to them to keep Sree informed about every step. Sree himself had placed a few cameras which did not affect the hospital's atmosphere. It was mainly at the outerwalls of Arjun's room.
Arjun's and Aisha's mobile were always on trace. He was well ready. After checking again, he went for a nap.

Next morning:
They had their breakfast together and Arjun was taken for his session. Sree accompanied him for a while and then later he went out. He had some work as instructed by Aman and Sameer. He had a local guide too with him.
Evening:
When Sree was back, Aisha asked for the updates. Sree told that the number was in a local's name. But he knew nothing about it. Someone had used his ID proofs, which was not convincing. After some treatment, he said that he had taken for a friend who had brought a North Indian man along with him. The sketch artist did make a sketch of the North Indian man and the search was already on.
Sree retired to his room after dinner. He was tired. Baba came in to ask if he needed anything.
Sr: aap bohot fikar karthe ho baba...
Ba: aisa kuch nahi hai Sree. Yaha ke har ek inmate mere liye important. I make sure ke har roz sabse milu sone se pehle. To check if they need something.
Sree liked this man a lot.
Sr: aur fir aap kab sothe ho?
Ba: neend aaj kal kam hai beta.
Sr: zyada sochthe ho... isliye neend nahi hai. relax. Sab teekh hoga.
Ba:hm..
Sree thought for a while if to ask or not. Then thought to give it a try.
Sr: baba... mien Aryan ke bare me suna tha...
Ba: hm.. kuch aapke umar ke hothe ab wo... usse bhi computers ka shok tha.
Sr:hm... kya aap uske... gayab hone ke baad... I mean...
Ba: its ok Sree. I have already adjusted to it.pucho.
Sr: unke samaan Mumbai se wapas laye the?
Ba: ab aap aise kyu puch rahe ho?
Sr: isliye.. ke... shayad usse kuch patha chale... ke kya hua tha...
Baba eyes him with doubt.
Sr: aap galath math samajhiye... please...
Ba: nahi... uss cupboard me hai.wo bags meine uske baad chua thak nahi. Aur keys... jo almirah khule hai... uske side wale drawer me hai...
He said without any feelings.
Sr: aapko bura laga?
Ba: nahi... bas aise hi... so jao...
He turned to walk out, but stopped and turned to him. "Sree... kya yaha kuch aise chal raha hai... jo mujhe patha na ho?"
Sree didn't say anything, which gave him some answers. Baba sttod for a while and then walked out. Sree was completely drained.

Next morning Arjun noticed Baba lost in his thoughts. His smile was not from his heart. Soon Sree also joined them. He looked upset too.
Ar: bath kya hai? aap dono aise chup kyu ho?
Baba stood silent for a while. He looked at Sree who was silent and head bent down.
Baba tuned back to Arjun. "kyu kiya aap aisa? Ek bar mujhse batha diya hotha..."
Arjun sat surprised. A look at Sree he knew the answer of Baba's thoughts. He looked at Aisha forhelp, but she too was not in a good state.
When he didn't get any anwer, he composed himself again and asked to Arjun. "kuch patha chala?Aryan ke bare me?"
Arjun didn't have any answer now too.
Ba: tho bahar jo log hai... wo isliye hai ka Aryan ka case firse khula hai?
Now Arjun didn't know what was he talking about. "kaunse log? Aur bahar... matlab?"
He looked at Sree and Aisha who had a double shock now. Soon he was getting some answers in their silence.
