As Akash and Payal surrounded Arnav teasing him and congratulating him, Khushi looked at her father and mother all emotional standing aloof from them. Her heart pinched seeing her father in that state. He had always acted as solid pillar and rock in her life even though he never actively present in her life. She left Arnav's hand and went to meet her parents remembering his approval to spend sometime with them. Arnav noticed her walking towards her parents and he didnt stop her, in fact he wanted her to be with them so that he could see how her relation with them is.
Khushi hugged her father and shed happy tears on his chest. I am very happy Papa. I have never been so happy in my life. How do you know that he is the right man for me? She lifted her head and asked him.
He smiled wiping hers because I knew he loves you more than I do you. I have seen it when you both were young. And nothing changed, neither you nor him.
Thank you so much Papa for forcing me into this marriage. Otherwise, I would have never known what happy life means and what a gem he is.
As he said you are just so pure that you dont see any negative things around. I made lot of mistakes beta, which are irrevocable. Dont thank me. I dont deserve it. He broke into tears and turned away hiding them from them. Garima hugged his arm calming him.
Papa? She tried to face him as she couldnt see her pillar breaking down. She wondered what made him break down all of sudden. Her marriage or something else.
Papa, why are you so upset. I dont think of you like that. I never blamed you for this marriage not after my wedding day. She noticed Arnav looking at them seriously putting all his efforts to understand Gupta. In her lower voice making sure Arnav dont hear them, she asked, Papa, did Arnavji say anything?
No, no beta. He didnt say anything. We are just too happy for you. We want you both happy and enjoy life to the fullest. He kissed her forehead while Garima hugged Khushi from side. But Khushi is not convinced and she looked worried at Arnav.
Arnav gestured her to come to him. As she took steps toward him, she realized the distance in relation between her parents and her husband. She worried thinking if she will ever have complete family in her life.
As she walked towards Arnav, he wrapped his arm around her shoulder asking, Sab teek hain?
I hope so.
As Arnav was about to question her more, Payal's mom asked Payal and Akash to start to the Payal's home to complete the Bidaai ceremony. As they started walking about, Khushi suggested them to proceed and they will meet them later. As the bride and groom's family walked away, Shashi and Garima tried to leave as well, which is when Khushi called them and asked them to stop.
Khushi held Arnav's hand and called him to the corner. Arnav, you fulfilled all my desires without a single say. Will you be able to do one last thing for me and I promise I will not ask you anything in my life.
Khushi? Whats the matter? You know I dont deny you, right?
She held his both hands and asked hesitatingly, I want to give proper closure to our wedding today by seeking blessings from my parents. Can you please join me along?
The worrisome expressions on his face soon turned stern disapproving her idea. He released his hands from her grip and said sternly, We are already late. I will be waiting for you outside. Make it quick. He walked away without even looking at her parents.
She stood facing her back to her parents feeling dejected. She knew Arnav will never lower his head infront of her father especially after remembering how they were separated but she tried her luck which didnt turn out in her favor. She felt so wretched between the two men and wiped her tears putting up smiling face and walked to her parents.
He got an important call to make Papa. He will meet us outside. Shall we go? She tried to put good impression about her husband.
Shashi smiled and nodded not embarassing his daughter, acted as if he believed her, because he knew ASR just too well.

Arnav came to his room to grab the travel papers and paced across the room restlessly. She asked him one thing and he refused. He was angry, angry at such situations that arise in his life especially within moments he promised her that he will fulfill all her wishes for life. But this is something else, its about Gupta, he is the man who separated her from him, he is the man who sent his own daughter away making her life lonely and making her life not any less than an orphan's.
He fisted his palms and punched the bed. He closed his eyes trying to gain composure as her tears flashed in his mind. He recollected how Shashi helped him to be in this position, how her whole family broke into tears and how she tried to pacify her father. How could she forgive the man so easily, especially when he is the man who stole her childhood. How could a man who made his life break his own daughter's life. The whole sight bothered him, confused him. If he loves her so much, why did he kept her away all his life. Who does that? He covered his face in his palms and felt pitifully sad thinking Khushi. He realized she is getting crushed between him and her father.

Khushi was talking to Payal and Akash as they waited for Arnav. Arnav walked to them and checked on Khushi with the corner of his eyes. She looked pale and disappointed.
All set fatty?
Yeah, just going home and then from there we will start soon after Bidaai ceremony.
OK then, Its time for us to leave. Akash take care of her.
What? Are we not going to her house to see them off? Khushi asked unaware of the plans.
No, we need to go.
But Arnav?
Khushi, they are not going anywhere. They are going to be in the city. We will meet them once they are settled. He said grumpily.
Khushi became sad hearing his tone and to say bye to them from there.
Akash chalte hain. We will meet you next week. Arnav hugged Akash and then Payal.
Thank you for everything Arnie. Payal hugged him.
Shut up and take care. Call if you need anything.
Khushi hugged Payal and slapped her back as she heard her whispering, Time to make better use of those pills.
Bro, call me if you need any tips. Akash teased only to receive an almost imperceptible blushing smile from Arnav.

As Arnav waited for Payal and Akash leave, Khushi went and hugged her parents bidding them bye. She felt sorry for them and didnt feel like going home seeing them sad. Just when she thought she need to make it quick before she get another round of dose from Arnav, his voice broke in all seriousness,
Khushi, dont you want to take blessings from your parents?
She turned around and looked shocked at him with her eyes wide opened.
He grabbed her hand and made her bend along with him in unison leaving all Guptas shocked.
When Shashi couldnt react as this was most unexpected of ASR, Arnav raised his head and asked, Dont you wanna bless us?
Shashi came out of his senses and Shashi and Garima blessed their children feeling super content with his gesture. Khushi is still in shock and couldnt take her eyes off Arnav.
He rounder his palm on her shoulder and asked her to make it quick and he will be waiting in the car. Just as he was about to leave, Shashi stopped Arnav holding his hand.
He turned his hand, his palm facing up the sky, he then grabbed Khushi's hand and placed in Arnav's hand.
We never gave her the love she deserved. We never knew how Khushi is in real until we saw her here today. I thought I made lot of mistakes in my life, especially with Khushi, until you came the other night to see her in the wee hours. But today I felt more confident that every decision I took is correct, even if I have to face your wrath and my daughter's disappointment over me for the rest of my life, because she is in the most safest hands and I am ready to do thousands of such mistakes to make sure she is always in your protective web.
Papa, aap? Khushi tried to stop him. No matter how cruel a father can be, a daughter can never be able to bear the pain of her father bowing and asking forgiveness from her husband. Her heart will break into pieces witnessing it helplessly and any number of lifetimes will not be enough to mend that treacherous feeling.
Shashi stopped her from interrupting showing his hand while Garima lowered her head sniffling, covering her face partly with saree pallu and Arnav looked at him questioningly, feeling terrible seeing Khushi in tears for her father, and somewhere for the old man too, but his mind kept nagging WHY?
Khushi, I am sorry beta. I made you go through hell but my intentions were never wrong.
Khushi by now broke into tears, unable to speak pleading her father to stop.
BAS! Arnav screamed as he couldnt see how her father's words hurting her. He never wanted her dad to speak all these in front of her. She shouldnt be part of the conversation at all, not now, not ever. Let me remind you something you taught me. A mistake is a mistake whether intentional or unintentional. I DO NOT care if your intentions are right or wrong but your mistake costed her childhood and as a matter of fact I think even my parents are somewhere involved in all of this and you all 4 did make her go through hell.
Arnav, please stop it.
Lets go Khushi. He turned around and said without looking at them before walking away, One week, I need every damn question answered. He held her hand and walked away with her.
Arnav, please let me talk to Papa. He will break down.
Arnav opened the car door and sighed her to sit in, frowning his eyebrows.
Arnav please, they will break down. They are already guilty and torturing themselves thinking all about this every single min. Lets not make it difficult to them, Please.
He didnt relent, waited impatiently for her sit in. Please Arnav, I cant come home without saying proper bye to them. I dont want to disrespect you or our relation for something that we could possibly handle better. Please mere liye.
The way the old man supported him day and night for last 8 years, the way he shed tears with Khushi, his eyes looking at her apologetically, and the fact that he came to wedding for her daughter forgetting that he was thrown out of RM once and keeping all his ego not expecting any apology from his son-in-law just to make her daughter happy flashed in his memory. He is confused thinking what is right and what is wrong. After battling with his own thoughts, he is prepared to give her father the benefit of doubt and wait and see what he offers.
2 mins is all you got. He said sternly and took the back passenger seat.
Khushi ran and hugged Garima and Shashi. Dont you ever say those words again Papa. You have no idea what a priceless life you gave me. Its all over in the past, why do you both keep digging into the past and torture me.
Shashi kissed her forehead. My little angel has grown so big and now I feel like I am your kid. He chuckled giving her side hug.
Garima came near Khushi and hugged her, Dont keep thinking all these. Let the men deal themselves. You dont come in between. Enjoy, be safe and take care of him. And tell him to stop his monstrous acts. Shashi nudged her widening his eyes while Khushi looked away embarrassed. She hugged them and feeling sense of loneliness as if its her vidaai.
Khushi started crying bitterly as her father walked her to the car. Arnav was talking to Mark letting him know that they are on their way which is when he saw her crying hard on her father's shoulders. His heart ached seeing them together. A happy yet sad moment for any parent to send their daughter away. How was he able to send her away to london? He again thought observing the father-daughter.
She was nodding her head mumbling something. Shashi took his hanky and wiped her daughters face as if she is small baby. That melted Arnav's heart. He needs another chance, I hope he better use it wisely. He thought and got off the car unable to see her in tears for so long.
Khushi was leaning her head on her father's shoulder, when Arnav approached the duo and wrapped his arm on her shoulder. Instantly, Shashi stepped back, leaving her daughter with her man. Arnav rubbed her arm that he was holding and asked looking at her, Its OK, they are not going anywhere.
She nodded but she couldnt stop crying imagining what her father must be going through. He wiped her tears with his thumb. You can visit them whenever you want after we come back. She nodded but she failed to register his words "after we come back".
She waved bye to her parents as they looked at her walking away. After she sat in the car, he closed the door and turned to Shashi and Garima, She will be fine. You should leave as well. Its getting late. He suggested like how a typical responsible son does and realizing his last few words, he quickly mentally slapped, What was that for? He got into the car, a bit embarassed with himself.
Shashi and Garima gave a huge smile happy to see his subtle care for them as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Its been 10mins since they got into the car and she is no where closer to stop her tears. She sat at the corner, very far from him, and sobbed silently. She didnt cry so much when we got married first time? He thought remembering that night.
Nodding his head in disbelief, he reached for the tissue and handed it to her.
She blew her nose and bunched the tissue on her lap. Her nose started running constantly and she was having hard time wiping with one tissue he gave. He leaned over and gave another tissue with teasing smile. She took that as well without looking at him. This continued until her lap became full. As everything started falling off her lap, she realized the mess and looked at him. He tried hard to control his laughter running finger under his nose.
This is the last tissue I got. Do you want me to stop the car to buy another tissue box? He teased her.
She started crying more seeing him smiling without consoling her. She threw crumpled tissue on him only to receive a wide grin. He scooted towards her and wrapped his arm and tried to pull her into embrace. She shrugged off his hands but he held her tight. After fighting non-verbally for long time, She gave up and leaned onto him, sniffling on his chest.
You miss them? He asked smoothing her hair on her back.
She nodded NO.
You dont miss them? He asked with surprised tone.
She nodded NO again.
Are you angry with me?
She remained silent.
He got the message and didnt dwell into the matter as he didnt wanna make her more sad by reasoning out or arguing with her. He held her like that rest of the 90mins drive, rubbing her arm, making her feel better as she dozed off to short nap on his chest. He didnt bother to wake her up as he knew the moment she comes to know his plan, she would be freaking out in nervousness.
As Raghu pulled the car to the passenger drop-off, Mark approached them and helped with the luggage. Khushi woke up hearing some announcements and feeling his pats on her cheek.
Khushi wake up. He spoke in his gentle voice, smoothing her hair behind her ears. She looked around and noticed buzz outside the car.
Where are we? She mumbled rubbing her eyes.
Airport. Come on, lets go. We cant park the car here for long time.
She narrowed her eyes in confusion.
Drape it to single pleat. He demanded her pointing to her pallu. She couldnt understand whats happening. She looked around to see Raghu taking their baggage out of car. Impatiently, He tried to grab her pallu on her shoulders, and she jerked back suddenly thinking, What the heck is he doing, in public?
Wait, He gave her a warning look and released her brooch on her blouse that pinned the pallu in place. He gave the brooch to her and said, Pin it up to single pleat and cover your belly and...he stopped and swept his glance from her neck to her belly. She understood and lowered her eyes and fixed her pallu. You didnt mind it in wedding? She muttered under her breath, audible enought o his ears. Those are all our folks. Here we have bunch of dirty suckers all over the airport. He grabbed the shawl from the seat pocket and gave it to her. Use this as well if you need.
As she grabbed and nodded Yes, He kissed her forehead and asked her, You Ok now?
Before she could nod and ask him whats happening, he got off the car and came around the other end and opened her door.
As she stepped out of the car, he grabbed her hand entwining his fingers following Mark who is pushing their cart to the VIP security entrance. Khushi realized that they are going somewhere and as she drilled her brain further, she wondered if what she is thinking is true. Suddenly, she felt like she gulped millions of butterflies to make her life a sweet bouncing hell for next few days and God or in this case her husband only knows for how many days. Her hands started sweating in nervousness and he smirked devilishly realizing her perplexed state of mind.
As their bags went through screening, she tugged his hand and made him bend to her lips so that only he could hear her question.
Where are we going? She whispered, her voice a bit shaken.
He straightened himself and asked putting up surprised expression, Dont you know?
She nodded NO, innocence at its peak and best, knocking his senses with her one imperceptible nod, fluttering her long thick lashes.
Slipping his finger into her waist band behind her back, he tugged her towards him and whispered in her ears and hair, Away from people, away from work, to your favorite place, for 7 days, just you, me a.n.d...m.a.y. be a duvet. He kissed her ears featherly.
She lowered her head with her downcast eyes trying hard to control her blush which seems to be impossible for the moment. She looked away and her fingers trembled as they wandered on her face pretending to adjust her bindi to hide her flustered expressions from him. He looked amused at the rate her skin turned dark pink with just his words.
