in that sindoor scene when the sindoor fell on kumud's head it signified that god wants them to be together. the falling of sindoor can be taken as a sign from god, secondly marriage cannot be done just by putting sindoor on the maang , there are pheras and rituals to be handled. so yaa it was just a sign from god. and yes it has a lot of meaning in itself.
