A/N: Hey guys. I'm Priya. I usually write fanfics (usually on evry show I watch!😆) Here's my first one on AkDha..
Hope u all will like.. this is set after the recent promo in which Jodha asks Jalal to control Hawai😛
Jodha's words echoed in Jalal's head as he went to control his Hawai.
'Agar aap ithne hi shur-veer hai, tho karlijiye ussey apne Kabuu mein. Ek yodha aise kaam swayam kartha hai. Kisi ko hukm nahi deta ki koi uski jagah lele..'
What did she think of him? That he was a coward, a 'darpok shehenshah' who throws his men into danger as he's afraid of facing it?? He would prove her wrong again.
His thoughts came to an abrupt end as Hawai lashed out at him and he winced in pain, shouting instructions to Hawai trying his best to tame the elephant.
Jodha who had been watching this, began to regret it. What if something happens to shehensha again? No, she couldn't throw his life in danger, not willingly this time. She needed to do something. An idea struck her and she rushed from the spot with full speed.
A while later, Jalal thankfully brought the elephant back to its senses and patted it not caring how his injured right arm is protesting. He looked around and threw a 'thank you' stare to Maha Rana Pratap who aided him in his task. Then he looked at Jodha. He wanted to yell at her, but then a smile formed on his lips. She had just saved him from doing a gravest mistake. Killing Hawai would be something he'd regret life long, sending his soldiers to tame Hawai would be something that would term him as 'coward shehenshah'. And she saved his face from the two.
Maa Sa, Dadi Sa, Maham Anga, Ammi Jaan everyone rushed to him and Bhaarmal called the vaidya.
'Ahhh..' Jalal winced in pain as vaidya examined him.
'Shehensha ke haat ko buri tarah se masal diya gaya hai..' Vaidya expressed his concern.
'Yeh tho Hawai aur Humari begum ka mohobbat hai..' Jalal joked looking at Jodha and Hawai.
He was thankful to Hawai, because the animal crushed his arm and lifted him up to throw him down but did not crush him to death. Jodha was feeling guilty that once again Shehensha was injured because of her. And what did he mean by yeh humari begum ka mohabbat hai?
'Lekin koi baat nahi, haddi nahi tuti hai..'
Jalal was relieved to hear that.
'Lep lagaakar baandhe rakhne se dard kum hojayega. Lekin pura thik hone mein ek mahina lag sakta hai..'
Jalal groaned. Great! Ek mahina with out stressing his right arm, just great!
'Nahi hum issey baandhe nahi rakhenge.. shukriya' He tried to shoo the matter but in vain.
Ammi Jaan stopped him and said Jodha would take care of his injured arm.
Vaidya brought the paste and handed it over to Jodha.
AkDha's room:
Jalal was sitting on his bed and Jodha joined him with a bowl of Lep in her hand.
'Apna haat aage kijiye lep lagaana hai..'
'Hmm.. Ajeeb adaa hai aap ki Jodha begum. Zakam bhi aap hi deti ho, aur marham bhi..'
He expected a retort from her but it dint come. She proceeded to take his arm but he pulled away flinching a little.
'Nahin Jodha begum. Aur nahi.. Hum khud marham lagaa sakte hai. Aapne Ammi Jaan ka maan rakha yahi kaafi hai.. Dijiye hume'
She looked a little hurt. This was another surprise for him. Did she, by chance, care for him? Or got worried for him?
'Humey lagaane dijiye.. '
She requested in meek voice as she watched him struggle to apply the paste.
He gave up and let her take his arm. She pushed his sleeve up so that she can apply the medicine. The sight of his swollen, red, bruised arm brought tears in her eyes. She kept applying the lep on his arm as he closed his eyes in pain. Few tear drops hit his skin and he turned to look at her face and saw.. she was crying?!
'Begum aap ro rahi hai..?'
'mm.. Nahi hum bas..'
She brushed off her tears and got up to fetch the bandage. After its done he found her sitting away from him one corner of the bed.
'Hume maaf kar dijiye shehensha.. Hume lagaa Hawai aap ki baat sunega. Hum nahi chahte the ki aap ko chot lagjaye, hum ne iss vishay k baare mein socha tak nahi..'
Her voice is rough and he didn't need to see her face to say she was crying. He dint reply and she ran away from the spot, guilt gripping her heart.
She dint know why she was crying. She was being human of course, and she was terrified. For a moment she felt as if she'd watch him die in front of her eyes again. And it was painful. Maa Ambe had saved her from another guilt by saving his life, she concluded.
On the other side Jalal was confused as to why she cried.
'Unke aakhon mein aasu.. humare liye? Humne tho aaj tak unko sirf apne Amer walon k liye aasu bahaate dekha. Fir aaj?'
His thoughts drift to his childhood memories and memories as a soldier. There was only one person till now who cared, who truly wept for him. Ammi Jaan. Well everyone else did cry when he was injured including Ruqaiyya. But they had their reasons. Badi Ammi was worried about Mughal sultanate and its 'shehensha', Ruqaiyya was more or less worried for her status of 'begum-e-khas' or what would happen if shehensha's protection and wealth would part from her and he knew it. He had no complains.
But Jodha.. she despised him. She had no reason to cry. She had nothing to loose. He was shehensha, wealthy, a mughal- she doesn't care. Those tears were definitely didn't have a selfishness hidden beneath. Then were those tears out of care? Out of concern? May be. But she was supposed to be happy that he was suffering. Wasn't she? After all the insult she went through, she still acted like a wife sometimes. Those tears were genuine because she didn't know to act, make false pretenses. He concluded with a smile as he heard her voice echoing in the room.
'Aap Vishraam Kijiye hum aap k liye kheer lekar aathe hai..'
Hmm.. he would love to see this side of her's more often.

Meanwhile, Maham Anga was angry.
'Jalal ki jaan baar baar khatre mein pad raha hai. Isski waja woh Jodha begum. Mughal Sultanate ko barbaadi ki aur lejaarahi hai yeh ladki... hum aisa nahi hone denge. Hum iss Jodha ko Jalal k zindgi se bahar nikaal ke hi rahengey!'
