Two days later, Jalal found himself smiling at the royal beauty curled up in the couch at far end of his chamber. Two days since he had been teasing her, making her do things which included helping him up with his jaama, drying his hair, feeding him food and three days since she had been acting like a doted wife. He wondered what magic Amer had done to her that she changed so much. Without waking her up he went to finish his bath and then finished his namaz as well. He saw that she was up and ready when he returned. Like usual she helped him with his jaama silently cursing herself again and began walking off.

"Jodha begum aap yeh shaahi anghooti pehnaana bhul gayi.."

She huffed but came back to slip his ring on to his finger.

"Aur humare baaki k zewaraat bhi.."

Wordlessly she placed the jewels around his neck one by one and replaced his turbine. Taking a look at him, she admired her handy work.

"Kal se na jaane kisse karayenge yeh saare kaam? Ab hum jaaye?"

She asked putting up a serious face again.

"Inshallah! na jaane kisne jaadu kar diya aap k upar Jodha begum ki aap humari har baat maanne lagi hai.. Lekin har baat pe humari razamandi lene ki zarurat nahi hai aap ko.."

She stood rooted for a while confused noting for the first time that he was right.

"Humara matlub hai aap beshak jaa sakti hai Jodha begum.. shukriya."

She shook her head and left the place as he smiled to himself.

"Arey aaj bhi hum apne marham karwaana bhul gaye..Koi baat nahi, unke vaapis aate hi karwadenge.."

A while later

"Jodha kahi dikhaayi nahi de rahi hai subah se.."

Hamida expressed her surprise as everyone gathered in the hall for a friendly chitchat a while later.

"Yahi kahi hogi.." Menawati smiled up at her.

"Par jiji apne kaksh mein nahi hai.." Sukanya seemed worried, "aur humne unhe subah se nahi dekha.."

"humne bhi nahi dekha..."

Sujamal and others were tensed as well.

"Woh humare yaha bhi nahi hai.." Jalal who reached there spoke up adding to the suspense.

"Hey Maa Durga, Jodha jiji kaha reh gayi.."

Sujatha, the little Rajput princess answered Sukanya.

"Jodha jiji tho chali gayi.."

Sukanya and everyone were shocked and Sujatha handed her the note which Jodha had left.

Sukanya read it aloud for everyone.

'Humari shubhkaamnaayein aap k saat hai Sukanya. Hum apne diye hue vachan k kaaran yaha se jaarahe hai. Hum sheeghra hi waha pahunch jayenge. Vivah k samapth hone se pehle hi laut aayenge. humari is Galati ko maaf kardijiye. Humari sirf ek hi ichha hai ki humare karan vivah mein koi rukawat na aaye.. Ammi jaan, Dadi Sa, MaaSa, Bapu Sa ko mera sadar pranam.. ummeed hai aap sab humari majburi ko samjhne ka prayas karenge. aapki Jodha.'

Sukanya broke into tears and Jalal cornered the little princess.

"Kab Kab diya aapke Jodha jiji ne yeh pehgaum??"

"Jija sa.. bas abhi.." Sujatha replied him.

"Accha fir tho.. kuch kaha hoga ki woh kaha jaa rahi hai. Aapne pucha nahi?"

Everyone were listening closely as Sujatha answered his questions one by one.

"Umm.. woh keh rahi thi hume kuch samajh nahi aaya.. par.."

"Aap bas bataao woh kya keh rahi thi.."

"Jija sa.. woh keh rahi thi ki - kisi ne Shehensha ko bachaakar apna vachan nibhaya, ab unki baari hai.."

Jalal was stunned. Jodha left because of him? She had obviously made a deal which she had to fulfill by leaving everyone behind in Amer- just to ensure his safety?

'Kaisi Ajeeb mohobbat hai unki.. kehti hai humse nafrat karti hai.. fir yeh sab??!' Jalal thought

Everyone stunned equally.

"Par GAYI KAHA JODHA?" Dadi Sa demanded to know.

"Parchand Parbat.." Maha Rana Pratap who had been listening intently entered the scene.

"KYA? Kyu.. Jodha ko waha jaane ki kya zarurat hai? Prachand parbat jaana matlab.. mrithyu se khelna. Kyu gayi woh.. Hum poochte hai kyu??"

Menawati was almost in tears as she begged Pratap to answer. Bharmal too joined her.

"Humne manaa kiya tha Jodha ko.. Fir bhi woh chali gayi apna diya hua vachan nibhane. Humne unke saamne ek shart rakhi thi.."

"Kaisi shart?" Jalal was talking to him directly now.

"Hum unko Shehensha ko bachaane k liye woh jadi booti denge jo Hawai ko kaabu mein kar sake. Aur badle mein Woh hume Prachand parbat k puraane Krishna mandir ki murthi lekar dengi" Pratap answered.

Everyone was shell-shocked at this.

"Kaise Pratap? Kaise ghatiya sauda kar sakte ho tum Jodha k saat? Tum acchi tarah se jaante ho ki Jodha waha tak kabhi pahunch bhi nahi payegi.. uski jaan ko kyu khatre mein daala hai tum ne?" Dadi Sa burst out at him.

Bharmal and Menawati were trying to come out of shock.

"Hum.. Humne kaha tha unse ki hum apno se saude nahi karte. Haan humne shart rakhi thi kyu ki hum dekhna chahte hi ki kya woh ek Mughal ko bachaane k liye iss hud tak jaa sakti thi? Agar woh humari shart taal deti fir bhi hum uske pati ki jaan bachaane mein uski madad karte.." Pratap was ashamed of himself.

"Kal bhi hum ne unko samjhaaya ki waha jaane ki koshish na karein.. woh maan bhi gayi thi fir bhi.. hume maaf kardijiye!"

Bharmal expressed his anger at this, "Aap jaante hai woh apne vachan ki kithni pakki hai.. fir bhi aapne aisa prasthaav rakha? Hume aap se yeh ummed nahi thi Pratap.."

Menawati broke down in tears. Jalal consoled her.

"Aap fikar mat kijiye Rani Sahiba, hum unhe wapis le-aayenge. Humari choti saali keh rahi thi unhe gaye hue zyada waqt nahi hua hai.. hum unhe dhoondh lenge.." Jalal's words calmed her a bit.

"Par woh hogi kaha Jalal.." Hamida expressed her concern.

"Koi bhi mushkil chunauti ko sweekaarne se pehle, Jiji kaali Mandir mein pooja avashya karthi hai.." Sukanya informed Jalal.

"Wohi mandir jaha hum dono gaye the.."

She nodded to Jalal.

"Paranthu shehensha.. hum- hum le aayenge Jodha ko. Aap vishraam kijiye" Bharmal offered him.

"Nahi nahi Raja Sahib, hum khud le aaayenge humari begum ko.."

Everyone smiled at this. Jalal proceeded to leave but Adka Saab stopped him.

"Gustaakhi maaf ho shehensha. Raajvanshiyon k ilaake mein jaa rahe ho aap, hum bhi saat chalte hai tho-"

Jala cut him off swiftly.

"Nahi Adka saab hum akele jayenge.."

"Lekin shehensha, aap k saat ek sipayion ki tukdi jaa sakti hai. Bahar aap ki jaan ko khatra hai.."

Jalal laughed slightly before answering him.

"Khatra tho humari jodha begum ko bhi hai. Par woh akeli gayi hai. Adka saab, agar woh humari jaan bachaane k liye jaanlewa sauda qubool kar sakti hai, apni jaan ki baazi lagaa sakti hai; tho hum kyu nahi?"

Jalal finished with a smile. He turned to Raani Sa for a last word.

"Rani Sahiba, hum aap ki beti ko sahi salamat wapis le aayenge, yeh humara wada hai aapse. Aur haan, humare intezar mein Nikha k mauhaul ko kharab mat kijiye ga. Sukanya ka nikah acche se hojaye yeh Jodha begum ki hi nahi humari bhi khwahish hai.."

And he was set off, all alone on his horse, his shamsheer as his only weapon to find his Jodha.

Maham Anga was pissed off with the turn of events while Hamida was pleased as how Jalal chose to stand by Jodha's side and how Jodha went to all extremes to save her husband.

Sharifuddin was delighted. A delighted Adham greeted him in their secret spot as they began plotting to use this opportunity to finish off Jalal.

"Isse accha mauka hume milega kab. Woh akele jaraha hai, mandir ki taraf. Aur usi mandir mein hogi uss ki maut.. ilzaam lagega Jodha par!"

Adham laughed maniacally and they both sent some men to hunt down Jalal.

Meanwhile in Mandir

Jodha was worried as to how she would fulfil her word given to Pratap Sa. And look at her! She was on a dangerous adventure just to save the life of the man she despised to the core? Why did she agree to that shart by Pratap Sa? What was Jalal to her? Nothing.. but she chose to let down all her family members just to save him? Why?

Sure she was admiring certain things about him? She began enjoying his teasing but.. that didn't mean she'd forgive him for all his deeds? He looked handsome and he was definitely being nice, she admired his smile. DEVI MAA! She hated him. No no she dint like him for sure! She pushed aside those confused feelings of hers and prayed to Kaali Maa wishing for a success in her journey.

The priest offered aarthi which she took. She was having a friendly conversation with him when all of a sudden the priest stopped talking. He gestured with wide eyes and she turned around to face someone and was terrified.

"Humare alawa iss mandir mein.."
