PART 14: Are You Attracted To Me?

Arnav made all arrangements for the marriage. He even selected the person who will put mehndi in her hands. Amidst all these He forgot to Inform his Dada Dadi. Suddenly he realized and called Aman.

"Aman, Check all the available flights from Chennai to Mumbai." He hung the call and called his Dadaji.

"Hello Dadaji"

"Haan chote." His dadaji found Arnav was happy yet tensed.

"Dadaji, Khushi.." He dragged and Dadaji panicked.

"what happened to Pari?"

"Relax, She is fine. Daksh is getting her married to Aran in 3 days. So I made them agree to marry her to me on the same date. I know its short notice. But I have made all the arrangements. You just please come here. I will make arrangements for your journey" Arnav said it in one go.

"What the. Chote. You are getting married in three days? You are informing now? Unbelievable." Dadaji cried.

"Kya hua ji?" came Dadi.

"Devyaniji, Aapke Chote, shadi karne jaa rahe hain woh bhi 3 din me(Your grandson is getting married in 3 days)" Dadaji threw his bomb.

"What? Give me the phone" Dadiji snatched the phone.

"Chote, how can you do this? you know na you and pari.." Arnav interrupted before she could blast.

"Dadi Dadi. I am marrying your Pari only. Dadaji is hell angry because it is only three days away" Arnav explained.

"Three days? How come you managed Chote?" Dadi asked surprised and Dadaji was shocked at her calm voice.

"Dadi, I had all proofs against Daksh so he had to oblige."

"But be careful chote. He is snake. Don't trust him" Dadi warned him.

"I have made all arrangements dadi. I know how to pull the teeth of that Snake." Dadi smiled at her Chote's guts and pre planning.

"Devyaniji, I am fuming here as the marriage is in Three days and u r smiling?"Dadaji asked not able to take it anymore.

"What else to do? Shall we stop the marriage?" she asked mocking and Arnav rolled his eyes.

"He should have informed us." Dadaji said slowly knowing his wife's anger.

"Jaanke kya karenge? Vese bhi 3 din baad ya 3 mahine baad. Shaadi toh in dono ka hi hona hai. toh kya farak padega? Aap chup ho jayiye aur jake saman bandiye. Huh. Khud ke shaadi me 1 din ka bhi samay dene ke liye taiyar nahi the, aa gaye Chote ke shaadi object karne. Chaliye(what will you do? Whether 3 days later or 3 months later. Ayways only these two are gonna get married. You just keep quiet and start packing. Huh. You were not ready to give even a day of time for your Marriage and you are pointing out mistakes on Chote for arranging marriage in 3 days. Now move)" Dadiji glared at Dadaji.

"Woh Devyaniji, in our time, I was not able to keep me away from your stunts ji. What to do, You were even ready to jump our house compound wall to meet me. So I had to speed up our marriage." Dadaji sad grinning. Dadi hit his arms.

"Haye, budape mein jawani? Kuch toh Sharam kijiye. Chote sun rahe hain. Ab jayiye aap(young at this age? Chote is listening to us. Now move)" She pushed him and took the phone again.

Arnav was laughing at their romance.

"Chote. Stop laughing." Dadi pounced on him.

"Dadi, you were.. so.. bold.. back.. then.. I cant.." Arnav said in between his laugh and at last held his tummy and rolled on couch laughing.

"Chote, Stop laughing and send us the tickets, we will reach" Dadi said angrily.

"Haan Dadi.. I will" he said breathing heavily and hung the call. Dadi smiled and turned towards her room and saw Smirking Dadaji and blushed.

"You still dint start packing?" she asked trying to hide her blush and smile.

"Devyaniji, If I was doing that then I would have missed the site which I got to see now" dadaji said slowly.

"Phir se. Now get ready." Dadi warned him with her hands on hips and Dadaji immediately moved in knowing that he cant handle his Angry wife.

Arnav smiled at their antics and then went to make arrangements for their arrival. He made flight tickets for the next day so that they can join on haldi.

Now Arnav left to Rajan Palace for Sangeet and Mehndi.

Khushi was sitting on her bed in her room. She was shedding silent tears.

She looked up at the sky.

"Amma, now are you happy? I am getting married as per your promise. But how come you chose such a husband for me?" she cried her heart out.

Here Arnav felt restless during driving. He knew Khushi is not doing good.

He rushed through Mumbai traffic and reached the Rajan Palace. It was 4 in the Evening. All were Gathered there. He entered the place without any hesitation. Daksh was shocked to see him there.

"Ar.." he started but Arnav interrupted.

"Where is Khushi?" he asked straight.

"Khu.. shi?" Daksh stammered.

"Yeah. WHERE IS SHE? TELL ME NOW" Arnav demanded.

Akshita was stunned as well as happy to see him there. She eyed him her room while Daksh pointed his finger unaware of Akshita's communication behind his back. Aran was in his room oblivious to all these.

Arnav rushed upto the room and Akshita silently followed him seeing his restlessness.

He opened her room door in one kick and saw her crying loudly. He couldn't take her tears. Akshita saw this and was really happy to see the Love Arnav holds for Khushi even after 17 years of separation. She remembered how he used to get restless when Khushi is In some trouble even being miles apart.

Once in school days Khushi, she got stuck with a gang which was known for its ill behavior. They were rich people sons. So no one dared to question them. Though they were just 10 they behaved like they were the owners of the school. Khushi was leaving to the canteen to have her lunch. That time one of those boys bumped on her. She glared at them.

"Hoi, what are you glaring at? Say sorry" He demanded.

"You were only walking with eyes closed and bumped on me. You are the one who is supposed to say Sorry not me" Khushi retorted.

Her friend got scared as she knew about the boys. But Khushi was new in that school.

The boys started talking all non sense to her and Khushi being sensitive then started Crying.

Arnav who was having his lunch with his class mates, started getting restless. His friends tried to calm him but all in vain.

He ran to Khushi's class and dint find her there. He started getting more restless.

Here the boys got more into their teasing, they started pulling her hair making her cry more and laughed at her.

Arnav by that time reached the canteen area. He saw Khushi crying and the boys laughing. He got angry to its peak and in long strides reached the guys.

"What are you doing to her?" he asked gritting his teeth.

"What matters to you?" One of the boys asked him mocking.

"It matters to me. Get away from her NOW" Arnav yelled.

"We will not" saying one boy reached her hair.

Arnav caught Khushi's hand and pulled her and hid her behind him.

"I SAID BACK OFF" saying Arnav started beating the boy. Soon all started fighting.

"Arnav, leave. Lets go from here. Stop fighting" Khushi pulled him and took him near a tree there.

"why did you fight? What if Head master terminates your schooling here?" she asked concerned and trying to sooth his wounds.

"I don't care. If anyone harms you, I will just kill them then and there" Arnav said still gritting his teeth.

"Arnav, why? Am I that important to you than your studies?" she asked.

"Yes you are. I can never see your tears. I will never let anyone harm you. I will always be with you and protect you" He said. Anyone could see so much determination in that 8 year old boy. Khushi was overwhelmed that she dint mind the surrounding. She just hugged him tight and soundly kissed him.

"No one can take your place in my life Arnav. You are also important for me. See I will marry you when we grow and become like amma appa." Saying she hugged him tight and Arnav smiled wide. He also hugged her tight showing his possessiveness.

All these was witnessed by their parents and Akshita who came to meet their teacher regarding their change of address and other official matters. They were happy. Arjun and Rajiv hugged each other as their friendship turned into relation by their children. Akshita was so happy to see the budding love at this tender age.

Akshita wiped her tears and saw that Arnav was trying to console her.

"khushi, listen to me. Tell me why are you crying?"

"None of your business. What are you doing here?" she asked in anger. She was attracted to him. so she tried moving away but he was getting more close to her.

"I am your boss. So I came to your marriage rituals." He lied.

"Who invited you? GET LOST" She yelled.

"What matters who invited me. Now I am here and I will not miss any rituals. Is that Fine Mrs. Rajan?" he turned and aksed Akshita who nodded.

"I don't want you to be here" Khushi was still yelling.

"Oh so you are afraid and you are attracted to me right?" he asked with a small smile.

"NOOO"

"Then let me stay for all the rasms." He shrugged.

"Fine. Laad governor." She mumbled.

"Thank you jhalli rani" he smiled.

Akshita chuckled at their childish fight and left behind Arnav leaving confused Khushi.
