PART 15: A Glimpse of Past

Khushi was confused. She dint know why Arnav was here. And to add more to her confusion, her Mama dint seem to be affected at all. For internship in AR he was so adamant in not allowing her. But he is quiet when the King of AR, Arnav Raizada is sitting in front of him in his own house. That too without any invitations. That was quite strange thing to happen.

But Khushi had her own headache to look after. She was very much depressed with her marriage with Aran, so she dint give much attention to all these craps.

Arnav was enjoying the vision in front of him. Khushi was sitting there in middle of large crowd of ladies. They were all singing and dancing around her.

Arnav was just looking at her. She was looking gorgeous in that White and pink n orange color Half saree.

Traditional wear was making her look sexy in his eyes. The small amount of her waist was playing hide n seek with his eyes from behind the half saree. She was not wearing any ornaments as she had to put mehndi in her hands. Without any ornaments her milky hands were creating havoc in his senses. He groaned thinking of the 2 days gap to make her his. Aran who saw Arnav ogling at Khushi was fuming. He wanted to clutch Arnav's collar and throw him out. But he knew that Arnav is more strong than him in all aspects. So he stayed quiet obliging to his father.

Khushi saw the glare Aran was giving Arnav and she dint like that. She called her mami.

"Mami"

"Why are we having all these rituals? These are in north Indian style" She asked scrunching her face.

"Khushi, we are in Mumbai, so what is wrong in doing in their way? Anyways in our culture also We have put mehndi in your hands while ladies sing Songs. Here it is a rituals. That's all. Stop fussing and choose your design" Akshita said calmly and rushed to kitchen to get refreshments for the guests.

One of the Aunties sitting there saw Aran n Arnav. She came near him and asked

"Who is the dulha here?"

"Up to you. Find it" Arnav said with his tongue in cheek.

"Looking at that face, it is difficult. But let me guess. It must be you, rite?" She asked pointing to Arnav.

Before Arnav or Aran could react, Khushi yelled.

"ji nahi. My would be husband is Aran." She declared while the aunty was confused.

"Don't think too much. You will end up pulling your hair." Aran mumbled and went from there.

"Arey beta, you are not suppose to be here when the Dulhan keeping Mehndi." She said

"WHAT THE" was the immediate reaction.

"Please go from here as we have to start the ritual."

Arnav looked around and saw that there were no men around, so he left the living room with a pouting baby face.

Khushi laughed seeing that. Arnav turned to see her laugh and his eyes twinkled with mischief.

"What are you laughing at, Jhalli Rani?" He asked loud. Hearing him call like that, anger raised in her.

"WHAT THE. Laad Governor. Don't call me that" she yelled.

"why? When you can laugh at me, why cant I call you that" He gave his naughty smirk.

"Mr. Angry Bird, I Remember that you were asked to move out as men are not allowed in this ritual" she said grinning.

"Ahan, do u think anyone can stop me from seeing my kuku put mehndi?" he asked absent mindedly.

"but Annu can be stopped by Kuku herself" Khushi said giving him a warning glare.

Arnav was taken aback. She called him Annu. He rubbed his ears to ensure that he heard rite.

"Hey what did you call me?" he asked taking long strides and settled besides her.

"What?" she asked confused.

"You called me Annu?" he asked silently.

"Did I?" Khushi scrunched her face in confusion.

"Don't you remember?" he was so happy to see that Kuku was returning, but he got sad when he realized that she again forgot.

"Ok, but you just wait and watch. I will surely see your mehndi. No one can stop ASR" He said challenging getting back to his ASR mode.

"Aap honge ASR apne ghar mein(you might be the ASR in your house). But not here. Samjhe aap(understand)?" she flared her nose.

"Ahan, My dear Roadside Juleit, Enaku hindi la miratala? Yaru inda Roadside Romeo va thadukuranga nu nanum pakuren(Roadside Juliet threatening me in Hindi? Let me see who can stop this Roadside Romeo)" He winked at her and went from there smiling.

He went straight to Akshita.

"Chithi, chithi" He called as he reached the kitchen backside door.

"Wait" Akshita yelled and rushed to him after checking where are Daksh and Aran.

"Chellam, when Daksh n Aran are here, u ought to be careful. We cannot be talking like this in front of them.

"I can handle them Chithi. I don't want to talk about them. Not now when I am here with a very awesome news." Arnav said smiling excitedly like a child.

"What is it?" Akshita asked calming him down.

"Chithi, will you believe me if I say that Khushi called me Annu" he said smiling wide.

"Huh, she calls you that always." Akshita said not understanding.

"Not in childhood chithi. She called me Annu today. Just now." He explained.

Akshita moved back and rubbed her temple.

"Enna chellam solra? Nijamava(What are saying? Really)?" she asked not able to believe.

"Yes Chithi. She really did" Arnav confirmed.

"But she immediately forgot that too" Arnav said pouting.

"That is a good sign Arnav chellam. It means that your proximity is helping her gain her memory." Akshita encouraged him

"But chithi, Why cant you just explain her. She is not able to remember her own face Dammit" Arnav grumbled in frustration.

"I cannot risk Khushi's life by saying all these to her. Daksh dint let her see any of her picture before the accident. He dint want his memory to be back." Akshita blurted out the truth.

"I Will see to that, That Chithappa suffers for whatever he has done to my Kuku" Arnav clenched his fist in Anger. But then Arnav dint want to spoil his mood.

"Lets not talk about them now. Chithi, get me a barfi na. You used to do it the same way Anju athai used to do." Arnav asked her and Akshitha laughed.

"I was the one who taught her Chellam. I know you will ask, so I made them already, they are on the kitchen counter go n have. I will check Khushi" Saying Akshita went from there.

Arnav took out his mobile and called someone.

"Hey Sandra. Is the mehndi ready?" he asked.

"..."

"Ok. Do the design I have selected and I want her hands to look beautiful and fill it with mehndi till the sleeve of her blouse" he said and listening to Sandra he chuckled.

"Ok OK.. Now listen. You have to Write the Initials AR and between them write S in such a way that it should be like some design. I mean S should not be clearly visible. On the whole the initials to be written are ASR" he said and smirked.

"And Sandra, In the other hand, write LG AB. And remember it should not be distinguished from the design. Khushi should not know about the initials. Do you get it?" He said

".."

"Better. Now do your job. I don't want any confusion" he ordered in his ASR tone and cut the call.

The beautician smiled at her phone and looked at Khushi with same smiling face.

"Hey what happened?" Khushi asked confused.

"Nothing" Sandra said and started with her mehndi in Khushi's hands.

Khushi tried concentrating on the pattern. But some unclear images came in front of her eyes.

She saw blur image of a small girl putting mehndi in her hands.

And then saw the Image of a boy disturbing the girl. And then in irritation the girl smears the mehndi in the boy's face and starts chasing him.

Khushi's head starts spinning after her vision.
