Warning: My view is slightly different from the rest of the form as I could not take the extra sweetness in Jalal today!
What a start to the episode, Jalal talks to Mohini and explains what a big favor he had done to his life. 'Uska tezz sahene ka taap nahin hai' - wah wah! 'Unhe to hume bhi chune ki ijajat nahin hai' - wah wah wah more! Jodha, your hubby has another quality - he is extremely witty and funny! Finally after a whole day of complains, narajgi, lectures and sarcasm Jodha smiles at Jalal. I give no credit to Jodha for this as it was Jalal who made his insult also a laughing matter (how sweet). Jalal almost as if has taken an oath after the suicide that he is not going to react to Jodha no matter what. It was so husband-wife like when Jodha said 'aap ke sar ke peeche bhi ankh hai, aap hamari soch kaise samajh gaye'. If only Jodha understood that Jalal understands her completely now.
He gets sweeter now - Refuses his begum to give anything as that would be against her shaan and his turban is more expensive. This was too filmy for me, I could not take it. It would have been okay for Jodha to give away some jewels and Jalal gave the rest. But, seriously the turban also?? This Jalal is changing too fast, had he not given the turban it would have still been okay. Oh well, bollywood inspiration I guess - total filmy. Our Jodha as usual starts using her bhari bharkam hindi with manavata, daya, etc. Jalal was so right about her having no patience. If only her thoughts waited few seconds she would have seen how Jalal only wanted to protect her aan and still help the fakirs.
I hate it when they show how a man has to change 180 degrees so that a woman can fall in love with him! Seriously, dont your remember - 'To err is human'. It was good to see Jodha follow Jalal's way of prayer, finally some good act on her side. I wish Jalal did not tell her that she has the permission to follow her way and does not have to do all this. Come on, that is already understood as per your initial vachan to Jodha. I wonder why he is reassuring Jodha so much, does he want to be in her good books so badly? This was too much of sweetness, too much of a change in Jalal that I am having hard time digesting. It does not end here though.. Jodha again requests the lord to grant her a wish to teach Jalal a lesson. Seriously lady, you need to teach him more when you are the dumbest person on this planet? I wish I could right then and there grab you and shake you badly. I wish Jalal was granted that wish. Instead we get even extra sweet Jalal who says his wish was that Jodha's wish should be granted. Seriously?? He feels he has taken away everything from her and hence its only right if Jodha's wish comes true. What's wrong with Ekta? Why is changing Jalal to a Yash Chopra Hero? Arrrghhh.. Coming back to the serial, I understand Jodha married against her wish. But, that was imposed by her father to protect Amer. Jalal except for that minor first night incident and MC (apologized already many times) has not done anything bad to her nor has he taken away anything from her. Its Jodha who has not tried from her side to accept the situation, the marriage and her husband. Ajmer ki dargah wale, hum pe rahem kar! I do not want another 'paath' or siksha from Jodha for Jalal. I have had it with this lady's venomous lectures!
After Yash Chopra hero copying, they do some actual Jodha Akbar movie copying. In this one instance only I felt that Rajat was no where close to Hrithik in dancing. Jodha's realization that he had a heart beat was also not very buyable to me. It almost looks like they now want to move the story ahead, and are forcefully creating instances for Jodha to realize. To me this whole sufi scene did not blend in..
Finally I was so relieved that Jalal did not want to give up hunting! Thank god the sweet doses stopped as I couldn't take it anymore. Don't get me wrong girls, I am a vegetarian and do not like animals to be killed. But, I wanted Jalal to keep doing certain things that gave him pleasure. Not change everything about him just so that the person who hated him the most is happy. Jodha starts her lecture again on animal life. You hate this man so much Jodha, then why bother what he does. But, no she has to poke her nose as she is his shubchintak you see! She has to change him as right now he is not fit to be her husband. Arrrggghhh! Jalal was again very patient but firm that she had to accompany him in the hunting trip. He does not even snap when he calls her husband Pashu, what the?? Jodha's character is beyond repair now, I cannot think of her as coming from a queen clan. Jalal yet again ignores this comment!
Precap: Finally see some temper in Jalal's face, dude don't give up everything of yours for this lady who hates you so much!
