Uday was so caring - so nice of him to bring Manyata food😳.True..Unfortunately, she didn't display a tad of gratitude. Her paranoia regarding Arjun in the bag ... made her forget her manners🤣.lol...

Kabir is gone crazy!He'll be even more crazy in next chappy😉 Stupid guy ... how could he call Manyata : "meri Manyata" at her in-laws home; that too in front of so many people😡? Idiot!!!!!!!!!Exactly.. He just ruined Manyata's character in front of her new family🤢. I think he should get a tight slap, from Manyata ; herself ...No he'll get a bonk on the head😆 perhaps then he'll get the message that he needs to move on now!

Chapter Twelve

Everything had stopped still for Kabir. The pain was too much, much more than any man could take. Still, he pretended he was fine. He put on a brave face, told himself that the first task infront of him was to free Manyata from the clutches of the demon who had abducted her. Just yesterday his head was roaming in the clouds with silly dreams of a future with Manyata, the woman he had been in love with, since childhood. No he wouldn't call those dreams silly; they were real. They would be real. So what if she had married the beast? Hell, once his true feelings are revealed to her, Manyata would leave the guy and come back to him. they would live happily ever after, like those countless fairy tales Manyata's mother -his future mother in law- used to tell them both in childhood.

So he was here today, at the royal mansion, to claim what he believed truly belonged to him. He had been to her room, to convince her. But she had down right refused him. It was weird how Manyata spoke to him, like she had happily agreed to this marriage. But he knew better. Perhaps being left alone in this huge house had made her indifferent. She would come around.

He had been hiding in the house, in dark corners just waiting for the right opportunity when he could steal her away to freedom. So what if she brushed him off? He wouldn't back away. He had patiently waited for the so called Muh dikhayi' to get over. Turn by turn women had been arriving and praising Manyata and her luck of having netted the prized catch of the region. Though their praises had made his heart swell with pride about his' Manyata, - as he had been thinking off late -, their words about Udayveer with so much awe had made him grit his teeth.

Then his patience lost its limits when Uday played that prank. He locked his fists and counted to ten; but no he couldn't control his rage. He had forgotten the time, the occasion and the place where he was; and plunged straight into the middle, knocking Uday to the ground with him. A shocked cry rose through the air from the woman folk gathered and Kabir swore in anger.

"meri Manyata ke saath badtameezi karta hai? Teri toh!! Main jaan le loonga teri..kameene..!" Kabir continued growling and pulled both of them to standing position. From nowhere he pulled out a gun and held it to Uday's temple. Manyata gasped disbelievingly. Kabir's back was towards her, so she couldn't see Uday's expression.

"Manyata, tum mere saath chalo, aur tum log aage mat badhna, warna ise udadoonga.." Kabir backed away step by step.

The place was eerily quiet; no one even dared to breathe. DS had closed her eyes shut with sheer helplessness. A steely clang sounded loudly just then, a sound of something breaking after contacting a hard surface.

Kabir held his head in hands and looked at Manyata with confusion and rage. His gun was on the ground and Uday was free. Manyata had hit Kabir with the vase that was on the side table. After that moment everything seemed to happen in blur as servants came and led Manveer away to their rooms and Kabir hoisted himself up and walked away in shock.

The guests parted away in silence and the mayhem came to an end.

Tanya Desai looked at her watch again and wondered how her new working place is going to be. She was a civil engeneering intern with a reputed firm and was here to do a detailed study on the dam project that was going on in the village.

Unlike her peers, swanky city life didn't excite her and she loved the peace and quiet of the villages. It was quite late in the evening when she reached the outskirts of the village in her car. There was a man on the road side sitting alone, holding his head in hands as if he was in lot of pain. She wasn't paying much attention to where she was going when her car came to a halt with a jerk. She tried again and again but the damn thing wouldn't budge. She alighted and kicked its front with her stiletto heel, mumbling something at it.

"main kuch help kardoon aap ki?" she heard a thick manly voice asking her.

"oh thank you so much..zara dekhiye meri gaadi ko kya ho gaya" she groaned.

Manyata couldn't believe what she had done. Had she really hit Kabir on the head?? And where did Kabir procure that gun from? Why did she panic so much when Uday was in danger? And what was Kabir's intention behind all this?? Udayveer , who calls himself bravest of the brave, why was he silent when Kabir was acting like a mad man?? Questions swarmed her mind like crazed bees and she felt like banging her head to the nearest wall. The day had started badly and ended badly. But there was a good moment during the day when your husband actually showed signs of care to you, the teeny weeny voice in her mind told her.

She had missed breakfast but she must not be absent from the dinner table, otherwise god knew what punishment DS would prescribe to her. She was coming down the stairs when she spotted two people kissing each other on the cheek as if in greeting. One of them was her self imposed husband and the woman was the same one she had quarrelled on the road, ages ago as it seemed.

(Lately i remembered that i haven't given a character sketch😆...lol..the other members of the cast being same as the original one, here is the actor playing Kabir😃)
