Does anyone know the Meaning of Selfish?

I am tired of so many posts bashing Ayaan, hating him, he is not the only person at fault here. I agree that it is idiotic of him to go to Asad and ask him to give Zoya, but he has a reason he has to save Nikhat's life. He makes a stupid mistake and comes home to see that his silly mistake will cause his sister to attempt to hurt herself. Ayaan didn't think through he just acted impulsively and thought the first solution was to pretend he is married to Zoya till she gets married. He is not selfish just impulsive. Why are we forgetting that Zoya is equally responsible for this, so she can help Ayaan, he is not asking to make this marriage valid, just pretend.

Yes he was thinking about Nikhats happiness. Good.

He didn't hesitate to ask his brother for his dhulan. Bad.

He didn't EVEN talk to Humeira before coming to this decision. BAD.

He is thinking of his sister. And feels for his bhaijaan. But in the end, he's being impulsive, and is going with the obvious choice, that will hurt more people in the long run, for one person's happiness.

No one is selfless in this world Ayan is not perfect character who is idol he is selfless or selfish as per situation and right now he doesnt know what is he doing. His way is wrong i dnt support him bt i dnt hate him. He would have been selfish if he asked zoya bcoz he loves him but he ask for his sis and he still leave decision asad

Sure, he is trying to look out for his sister. And that in itself is not selfish. However, the fact that he is willing to simply overlook all other aspects of the issue and just focus on Nikhat... that is selfish.

He knows that his brother loves Zoya. He knows they were about to get married. And he also knows that he is perfectly capable of guilt tripping his older brother. And he has used that to his advantage. He plays the sautela card time and time again, knowing its profound effect on Asad.

Not only is that selfish, it's also manipulative. And that shade of negativity doesn't look good on anyone.
