Hi everyone. This is my first time writing a fan fictions. Hope you enjoy reading it. Its tough writing one...Hats off to all the ff writers who do a great job entertaining us readers with their ff.....Enjoy reading each and everyone of them.......

The story has the same central characters but with completely different attitudes and personality....BTW Pia is Jai's sis in my FF....😉

This ff is dedicated to my friend M who encouraged/blackmailed me to post it............😆

SERENDIPITY

…a fortunate meeting
defined by fate and revealed by destiny
an enchanting moment beyond the realm of reason
cunningly disguised in direst circumstances
whose touch is visible only to poetic soulsit chooses its own time and place
evermore pretentious of purpose
crossing its hollowed path is futile
even frustrating to willing victims
coz it doesn't bend its will to ones desire

teasing a consoled mind to go astray
that's always a part of the plan
yet it likewise reassures us to hold on
to believe in destiny
and to let fate guide us on our journey

I am a willing victim to its wicked ploy
battling confusion, doubt and pain with a fragile sword
hanging on to a flicker of hope left inside me
coz I believe in my destiny
i believe in you….

Bani – A lively, vivacious girl who never believes in living for the moment. She has meticulously created a path for herself and will not do anything to jeopardize her career or her sanity.

Rano – Bani's best friend and confidant

Raj bahadur Jaisingh(RB) - Runs a multimillion dollar oil business from Bombay. He has recently started investing in other businesses and started a Software company which is handled by his son Jai and daughter Pia.

Balwant kaur (BK)- Jai's mom…. Is addressed as Biji by her kids.

Jai – Is in the process of taking over his Dad's responsibility and becoming the CEO of Excelon Corp.

Pia – She is RB's daughter and handles the software business. She has done her Masters in Computer Science and also holds a business degree. She met and married the love of her life Pushkar who is a physicist, completely into research and Quantum physics in Bangalore. They are about to become parents for the first time.

Chapter 1

Raj bahadur – Jai you need to settle in life now. Your mom and I would like to transfer all our responsibilities over to you and Pia and retire. I've never had time for your mother, have spent all my life fulfilling my duties and worrying about my company and employees more than my family. You mom deserves some of my time too…

Jai – Dad you know you can always take a vacation with mom. I'll look after the company matters for a couple of weeks.

RB – Its not the same son. With each passing day I realize I've never lived my life for myself or my family. You know you mom is the love of my life. She has always been there for me and now I would like to spend some time just with her ….I owe her that…….

Jai – Dad I'd be more than happy to look after the company.

RB – I know son but there are certain traditions that need to be adhered to..

Jai becomes pensive and quiet…He knows whats coming next and that he has always evaded the topic….but in heart of hearts he knows that he will have to face reality some day…..and really soon…..

BK comes into the room…..RB goes and gives her a hug….has a huge grin on his face….His heart still flutters when she comes into the room.

BK – Tussi phir shuru ho gaye…Jai puttar you know that you need to decide soon….You also know that we are with you in your decision..

Chapter 2

Uff this rain will it ever stop….Bani made her way through the evening traffic on the freeway cursing the rain which had the visibility down to a near nothing. Rain and Wind although a part of the chilly northern California weather, always cause disruptions and accidents on the freeway. Bani was just glad that she had made it home in one piece with all her bones in tact.

Her hands were freezing from the rain as she tried to open her apartment door, searching for her keys first which seem lost in her hobo….and then the latch would not open ……

What a day…She could not wait to get into her comforter with a hot cup of tea and yummy cheese sandwichs….which was her favorite comfort food after a long grueling day at work….Being a doctor meant putting long hours esp. right now during her ER stint where each new day brought new and difficult faces of life to light……

Soon she was busy making her sandwich and hot tea…..Suddenly she heard the door bell ring twice…..

Bani—Who is at the door at this time..? Its almost 8:30…Lemme go see….

As she peeped through the small hole she was lost….she saw two strong men standing outside her door…She put on the safety latch and opened the door to ask who ?

Man ---Agent Nathan maam…We need to talk to you for a bit….He said flashing his official badge….

Bani --- Just a moment officer.

She stood holding the handle trying to figure out what brought the Officers to her doorstep at this hour….She prayed everyone in her family was all right and nothing had happened to them…..

Nathan – Maam you must be wondering what brings us to you at this hour. We are here to excort you and take you to India…..

Bani was speechless…….Whatttttttttt???

Nathan – Yes maam….we have a private jet waiting to take you to Mumbai right now.

Bani – But why?

Nathan – Madam may I can call you Bani…

Bani – err yes….

Nathan – Bani all your questions will be answered in a few more hours… Please understand that I am not allowed to disclose any more information. There is someone in India who wishes to talk to you. This is Detective Gray and he has been searching for you for quite some time now……………

Bani- No way I am not going anywhere with you……

Nathan – Bani please cooperate with us… I assure u will not be harmed in any way. As a US citizen we will make sure you are protected…..

Bani had no other way but to go….She knew when she was fighting a losing battle and these guys would do their job no matter what……

As she boarded the Learjet…she suddenly felt her stomach churning…She was scared…suddenly she remembered her work her career…she had spent the last 6 years of her life trying to becoming a doc and now that might be in jeopardy right now…….

Bani- Officer I need to inform the hospital…

Nathan – Maam that's been taken care off…..

Bani – But…

As the plane soared in the blue sky Bani could not but feel as though something big was about to unravel in her life….her simple uncomplicated life….She only wished that Rano was with her right now…But looking at the bright side Rano was visiting her Nani in India so…she could seek her if needed…….

As the airhostess asked her if she wanted something to eat she remember she had not had anything since morning….she was all dizzy and feeling really weak right now….It was a long 20 hour flight to go…..

The flight landed in Mumbai….shortly after 11:00 p.m. at night…As she deplaned with Nathan right by her side she was escorted to the private lounge and then immigration taken care of… A limosine drove her towards her destiny….a huge Mansion with bright lights lighting up the sky….

She stepped out of the Limo and walked to see a person emerge from the shadows…J…..was all she could manage as the lights blackened and she lost her consiousness…….
