Chapter 23

Manveer had been away for 2 weeks. They had gone to Rajastan to visit jaigarh for their honeymoon.Manyata was feeling very hot, the AC in their room was not working. The estate manager had promiced to get it repaired soon, she went through all the clothes she had. It was all anarkalis and salwars. She remembered that she had packed her red skirt and white sleeve-less shirt too. Where was that? After pulling out all her clothes, she finally spotted it. She decided to have a shower and change into those clothes.

Uday was tired as he returned from his morning workout. The honeymoon had improved their relationship. They were now in speaking terms with each other. He removed his shirt, oh, its so hot, he thought. Manyata was no where to be seen. She must have gone for shopping. He opened the balcony doors and allowed the breeze to hit his muscular body .

Click, the bathroom door opened. Uday's head turned automatically to that direction. There stood an angel, dressed in white and red. The skirt barely reached her knees and a slit on the side revealed most of her thigh. The top 2 bottons of her shirt was open. Uday looked at her in a shocked expression. God she looked so tempting and she was his own. He moved forward towards her.

The breeze was not helping in his resolve either. The skirt fluttered and it showed more of her thighs. He moved towards her.

Manyata stood like a statue there. Uday was looking at her in a way that made butterflies fluttering in her stomach. She had to move, but then she couldn't. she felt like her legs were turning into jelly. She remembered her dress and tried to do the top 2 buttons of her shirt

Uday reached by her side and said to her huskily" wont you allow me to enjoy the view, don't close those curtains and deprive me of my rights, princess." Manyta stood their dumbstruck trying to process his words, when he started to kiss her on her lips. It soon turned passionate. They both fell on the bed

It was when jai woke up screaming. It was still dark, she was sweating. It was for 2 weeks now, that she was seeing nightmares like these. And all were like this- manveer forgetting their differences and becoming one. It made her worried like hell. What if they really forgot their difference? What if they had started living like husband and wife? What about her plans? Her dreams?

She checked the the digital clock by her bed side.it was 6 in the morning. She took her mobile and dialed manyta's number.

"The number you are calling is switched off, please call back in some time or send a voicemail..." Said the automatic voice. Jai cut the call frustrated. Why was she not taking her phone? It was 2 weeks since she could not contact manyta.

This wait is going to kill me, she thought. She got up and went for a shower, she dressed up and went to collect her work files when she remembered that it was Sunday and it was her day off. She started pacing around the room, for around an hour and finally went down for her breakfast.

" manyta is coming back today, oh bhagvan, I miss my child"said komal to DS.

J: komal aunty, manyta is coming today?

K: yes beta, uday called last night. They would arrive around 9 in the morning, I think"

J: that's good, I miss her

DS: even we miss her ,so jai how is your work?

J: its great, DS. The people there are so friendly and helpful.

And the conversation continued like that

Manyta and jai was talking in jai's room. Manyta had come around an hour back and after spending some time with the elders, the cousins decided to spend sometime together

so I told him that I want to come here before going to my inlaws place and he dropped me here" finished manyta

" so tell me how was your honeymoon, you know what I mean" jai winked

" ah, jiji its nothing like what you think, I just hate his attitude even now. I tried to start a conversation with him when we reached jaigarh. But he ignored me, like I was some unwanted guest . from that day we stayed away from one another. Uday stayed in one room and I stayed in another. We both spend our honeymoon alone, vacationing alone, avoiding each other like plague, I would have died with boredom if ishan... I mean.. eh.. you know jiji.. I " stammered manyta.

J: (with a evil smile) who is this ishan, manu? Don't lie to me

M: jiji, I ...

J: tell me...

M; jiji,... I met him at jaigarh, he was staying in the same hotel as we were staying. I spend most of my time in the library , and that's where I saw him. I noticed him staring at me, whenever I was not looking, he did not seem very interested in his book, finally afer 2 days I decided to confront him , you know I was thinking why was he staring at me and...

Flashback

M: can I take a seat

Ishan stammered: sure..

M: so why are you staring at me?

I: I .. I .. was not... I mean...

M: I know you were staring, don't lie( manyta smiled)

I: oh god!! I thought no one noticed that. Ok, I am sorry, I should not..

M: don't be sorry. So what is your name? I am manyta, manyta singh.

I: I know who you are, I am ishan , ishan dhirendra. You know I am your silent fan, I was heart broken when you married your childhood sweetheart udayveer.

M: if you call it a marriage..

I: what!! I thought, he was your child hood sweetheart

M: mr ishant, both of us don't love each other, we are just married for the sake of our riyasat.

I: but don't you feel lonely

M:Ya, I do, that is why I spent my time here

I: can I give you my company, if you feel lonely?

M: are you flirting with me

I: maybe...(he winked)

M: I am not interested

I: atleast friends? Please ( he pleaded)

Manyta thought for a while and finally answered: ok

Flashback ends

M:And since then I spent my time with him

J: so does uday know about this?

M: hell!!!! No, i am not mad to do tell him.

J: tell me did you get intimate with ishan?

Manyta blushed red and jai exclaimed, j: oh you did, when?

M: jiji, you have no shame , you ask so bluntly... am leaving now

J: to meet him?

M: ( manyta's mouth formed a surprised O) HOW DID YOU KNOW?😲

J: I know my sister well😉

J: go meet him manu, and don't let uday bully you

M: bye jiji

They both hugged each other and manyta left

Jai sat on her bad, she was grinning happily, finally she got some happy news. 😆😆

Manyta was on her way to the penthouse, she was grinning happily. She rang the bell, and waited, the door opened and her prince stood there. She stood there and asked

M: is Ishan dhirendra here?

I: no his alter ego is only available you know

M: I love that alter ego more than ishan

I: is that so??

And he scooped her in his hands. She put her hands around his neck and laughed as he took her to their bedroom and placed her on the bed.

I: so how do you like our new apartment?

M: I loved it, its cute just like you.

I: what!!! I am cute??? I thought I was evil looking.

M: na you are cute, like tommy

I: what you are comparing me to our 2 week old german shepherd? (they had bought tommy at jaigarh, and ishann had brought him back to Mumbai)

M: ya... and she showed her 32 teeth in a mocking way!!!

I: very bad , love, very bad,

And he pounced at her, manyta cried: leave me dev, ( dev was what she called him) leave me!!

I: not so soon princess, not so fast.

M: what if tommy comes?

I: I locked him in his room, he is sleeping after drinking his milk.

I: are you trying to distract me?

M: would I ever dream that?(in a innocent way😳)

I: better not... princess😳

And then ishan kissed her on her lips.

After a very passionate love making, ishan asked her,

I: so you told jai about us?😉

M: yes, I told( she winked)

I: what did she say?

M: she is very happy, she is " happy" that I am happy!!!

I: I know, I know.

M; oh, god!! Its late, I need to go home.

I: ok, I will leave you.

M: na, I will go alone, take care of my son tommy ok.

I: I will really miss you😭

M: I will be back soon😳. After a small kiss they parted.

Manyta was very happy as she drove back to her home...

Unnathi finished her inspection of the apartment, that manveer was gifted by giriraj and avantika, hoping that they would understand better if they were alone.( How wrong they were)

Un: its very beautiful dada.

U: I know, its dad's selection na

Un: when will bhabhi come?

U: she is staying at devgarh today, she may come here tomorrow

Un: so dada, how was your honeymoon?

U: chotthi, that is not a question you ask your older brother!!

Un: ok, I am not asking anything, sorry,(raising her hands)

Un: I better get going. Its late.

U: chotti, its only 11 in the morning

Un: I am late for my fitness class, god!!! I got to rush now, bye dada

Uday sat on the sofa, remembering the 2 weeks at jaigarh. Ha ha ha, that is what you call a honeymoon😆. People who brought forward their honeymoom would feel ashamed if they knew how they spent their honeymoon. Tomorrow he was going back to office after his " honeymoon" . its gona get difficult acting 24-7, thought uday
