Is the old school reference being used in the sense that A is a traditional woman and believes in the social norms and the societal norms of being a divorcee was restricting her??!! If so then not at all...she has questioned samaj and their thoughts time and again

and since u refered to her being old school because she could not forget her first love - how does that make her old school?? Its not traditional thinking, its more of her experience and her emotions attached to her first love. There are two parts to her first love:

- Good memories

- Nightmarish ones

The nightmarish ones are responsible for her not wanting to enter into marriage with S and the good ones stopped her from wanting to move forward with him...

She was more unsure about herself since she was broken from within and thought she wasnt woman enough for J...so there we go on your point about her not introspecting...she did and that is the reason she was too scared to take things forward with S...she dint want to let him down...she mayb was scared that if she gives him her all, he would leave her too like J did?!

How is that old school? Thats a pure play of emotions!

Old school reference is in the vein that its hard for any woman to just forget a 17 year old relationship just like that and think of recommitting on the rebound. A woman of A's calibre would not just turn around and start another relationship even if the other party is totally at fault. She puts value on her emotions in the 17 year old relationship. Which is why she need convincing and even blackmailing. If she just upped and remarried, she would be just an ordinary hussy. But cvs were also showing her depth in character and also her loyalty even though Jagya was at fault. ( the bharti Naari who remains loyal no matter how much she is wronged). That is how how I interpret it.

So old school reference is in a good way right...😆

It took a lot of effort on her part to move on, since, as you say, she was 'old school'...then why are we saying that A was purposely shown less confident to glorify S?? It was in flow and staying in character of A!

@bold. Voila!!! By George, she got it! 😊

Less confident about moving on and remarrying. Less confident about leaving her refuge, ie Singh's. she was the abandoned wife now divorced. shiv had to be painted as the Knight in Shining Armor coming to rescue her. We all wanted her to find happiness in a larger than life, successful, handsome new man. Hence the build up and her contrasting to show him in that light.

I don't think old school thought applies here.

Anandi has moved forward and making a life for herself.She also knew that she will not go back to her past she was willing to move on.She still found it difficult.

Post her divorce she was not ready for another relationship which was a natural reaction.

She did not have time to contemplate life as a single woman.

DS literally shoved this relationship down her throat because she was desperate to do the right thing for Anandi and was scared that S will be snapped up by UD for her daughter

Anandi was emotionally blackmailed into this relationship because of her belief that the elders of the family know better.In her case the elders turned out to be right she met her soul mate and fell in love with him.

But Jagya broke up with Gauri as well as Anandi a while ago and he was feeling lonely and missed having a family of his own and was hesitant because of his past as well as scared to look at future.He needs a hope to look forward to a future a marriage and a wife will give him a hope for future and will stop him looking at the past and regretting over it.That's what the idea behind forcing this marriage on him. Anandi knew that with Shiv made it easier to break free of past and she wanted that for her friend too.To get somebody to help him move on.

Before they could zero in on Ganga Disaster called Sanchi happened.

Are we adamant to accept that--- all these characters are fictitious?! OR are we too sentimental to disown them ,detach them from our lives?! MAY BE BOTH ARE CORRECT!!! Knowingly or unknowingly we are inter twined our lives with this BV to some extent...and UNABLE to accept that every character has its' own identity...SOME SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES ---SOME SPECIAL TRAITS TO THEM, -- this is an excellent work of a team mainly by excellent actors and the writers.

Wait a minute! How can the same yardstick be used for Jagya and Anandi with regards to length of time in respect to dissolution of a relationship. And if we go by that logic then the writing was on the wall 5 years prior to the divorce for Anandi.
