The sun had been hiding in the dark clouded sky and it still looked like a dark evening , there was an unknown silence in the valley just the snow dropping down it looked the whole place was covered into a white blanket , she shook with cold , she was semi conscious , fever had caught her , her breath fell on his chest as he touched her fore head to find she was suffering from a high fever , he was scared , as he pulled her closer just to find her shivering in so many layer of clothes as he kissed her forehead softly and said

UDAY:I will never let anything happen to you princess

Saying this he stepped out of the bed just to find his sweater was in her hands as she mumbled in her sleep weakly

MANYATA:uday don't go ….please

He bend down to her took her hands in his and kissed the back of her hands and said softly with love and passion

UDAY:I will be back and I promise that

She finally let go of his sweater as he rushed downstairs and called for all the maids , he tried to contact the doctor but due to the whether the network was not available the snow fall had been so heavy that they had been trapped in the hills and if they did not make it fast then they would be trapped in this house for another few days as they all stood with their worried face while uday asked them to make preparations , they were moving down hill everybody followed his comments as a maid came rushing from upstairs and she panicked as she said

MAID:yuvraajsa rajkumarisa is awake and she is getting all aggressive we did try to stop her but she is really angry what shall we do?

UDAY:you make preparation while I shall talk to her

He climbed up the steps his heart sank , he was facing his own daughter , would she ever forgive him after what he did to her , after abandoning her maybe never will he get the love of his wife or daughter but he was born a warrior and he would fight till the end and for now the only thing to clam her down was the truth no manupulacy but only the truth he should have confessed as he open the door to see his little daughter crumbled down on the floor with tears , he signaled all the servants to leave as he locked the door behind at the very sight of him she burned with anger , and she rushed to him , her tiny hands tried with full force to hurt his stomach but the thing that caused pain to uday was that tears drops on his daughter eyes she continued to hit as she sobbed and screamed

UJJANI:let me go ? where is my mom ? where did you keep her?

, he could not help himself the father in him had turned deaf to her accusation he was just glad to be with his daughter , it was for the first time he saw his daughter as he could not help but regret to the pain he caused to her , so he went down on his knees took her hands into his and said with his eyes wet with tears

UDAY:I am sorry bacha please forgive your dad but you should know I always loved you and your mumma I never wanted to part away

She looked at him recalling the incident back at the hospital where she had over heard him , no matter how much she tried to hate him she landed up loving him he was her father and this was the man she can never turn her back as she wipped her tears with her soft hands and asked him

UJJANI:then why did you leave us ? why was you not there for us ?

UDAY:I had situations as such

UJJANI:you have to tell me

UDAY:I will and after hearing it I will leave it to you whether you can forgive me or not bacha

As he started to narrate the incident that scattered his life , ruined his past , the three year old girl was shocked she could never imagine thing could be so cruel as she finally realized that her dad was a good person maybe there were mistakes he committed but he was not bad as finally after all she kissed his cheek softly and said

UJJANI:I love you dad and I promise we will soon be a family again

UDAY:thank you bacha I know no matter what you will always understand me so now I need you to understand the situation bacha we need to move downhill or else we will be caught in a storm

UJJANI:sure dad I am ready to go shall we go and wake mumma up too

UDAY:yes bacha let us go

Saying this he took her into his embrace and they headed to manyata as he softly touched her body but was taken aback , her body was so hot , as she mumbled words in her sleep a maid stepped forward and explained the situation

MAID:yuvraajsa she is too sick to travel , the weather outside will not suit her health

He was in a fix , he was not certain as to what should be done , he knew that it was very important for them to move downhill but now manyata could not move , it was clear that he would stay back with manyata but than that would mean leaving ujjani all alone , he could think of no way , for the first time in his life he had to choose between being a father and a husband but finally like sunshine in his dark life , ujjani with her bright smile said with flushed cheek

UJJANI:dad I will be fine but mumma needs you more than I do so I think you should be by her side I will be fine with daimaa

Uday eyes was filled with pride , his little daughter was so sensible just like a rajkumari must be she was already a grown lady , it was a heart breaking parting and the little soul cried her heart out while biding her father bye as for uday he felt a piece in him was missing but he knew it would not last for long as soon they would be a happy family again , as he headed towards manyata room , the entire house was silent as there was no one else but only uday and manyata , all the other had shifted downhill to save themselves from the harsh behavior , he went to her with a bowl of water as he nursed her through out the three days and night , entire time she was unable to speak or see anything clearly as she just mumbled few words , but uday had been by her side , he had been holding her hands and woken till late night . finally on the fourth morning as the sun rose high above in the sky , he looked up to check her temperature which was back to normal again, he was over joeys as he went down steps to prepare her a bowl of steaming soup for her , as he went careful enough managing with the steps and bowl of soup to her room found her sitting on the bed looking out of the window as brimming tears trickled her cheek , he went cupping her face as he said to her

UDAY:what happened to you princess?

MANYATA:uday … uday … I want to go back home please I miss ujani please uday please

In this many days he had seen the strong , bold yuvrani and his ex wife but for first time he saw her al broken and the girl he loved always , he could think of no other way than to clam her soul by pulling her into his embrace as she cried he pacified her as he said

UDAY:do not worry princess I will take you there but here a snow storm so every means of transport is blocked and soon after it is cleared out we will go to our daughter and that is my promise

She laid for a long time that way when finally she asked

MANYATA:uday why did you leave me just because of our financial state

UDAY:you must know princess that money could never measure my love

MANYATA:than what was it tell me uday

This was what he needed a time when she was ready to listen and he could confess all his sins to her as he put the log behind her ears and said

UDAY:do you promise to love me even after knowing the truth

There was a silence as she did not answer him , but he did not back off as he pulled her chin and looked into her eyes , that had so much of pain and love , he knew he needed to be faithful to his love this time as he kissed her forhead while she shivered by his touch in the embrace and finally said to her

UDAY:I killed a girl , I killed someone mother , I killed someone wife , I killed a life
