Another serial has hit your television screen this season as Sahara One Television premieres Ghar... Ek Sapna, the small screen saga of love and relationships. The serial's director Ajai Sinha, who has serials like Hasratein and Astitva... Ek Prem Kahani to his credit, says this serial delves into a girl's (Kakul) life when she marries the man she loves and trusts. It traces Kakul's married life in a new house and city after her sudden marriage to Samman. But as the story unfolds she discovers that the marriage was forcibly done and that nobody is ready to accept her in the family.

"Every girl has a dream of how her home should be. This is a story of a girl who dreams of a big and happy family after marriage. But destiny has something else in store for her. The serial depicts her struggle and how she overcomes it," says Sinha. However, he points out that it is not just one story, but a story of many people, about relationships and its different shades. "I got inspiration from my life and relatives," he adds.

The serial introduces a new face Sayantani Ghosh, playing the protagonist Kakul. Ghosh has already acted in a few Bengali films. "I accepted the offer because of Ajai Sinha and the role attracted me a lot. It is a very strong character who doesn't give up easily," she says. Ujwal Rana, who plays the role of Samman, says, "Samman is a guy from the city who tries to flirt with an innocent girl, but ends up marrying her forcibly because of certain problems." However, he clarifies that he is not playing a negative character. Rest of the cast includes veteran actors like Shammi, Alok Nath, Harsh Chhaya and Himani Shivpuri.
