Stand up comedian Pranit More has once again addressed the controversy surrounding the viral ?370 biryani crowdwork clip, this time through a fresh video statement after regaining access to social media. The comedian, who has been facing intense criticism over the incident, accepted responsibility for his actions and admitted that he failed to intervene when it mattered most.
The controversy erupted after a crowdwork clip from one of More’s shows went viral online. In the now infamous interaction, audience member Himanshu Jangra made remarks that were widely criticised as misogynistic and offensive. The clip sparked outrage across social media, with many questioning why the comedian continued engaging with the conversation and later uploaded the interaction online.

“Hello, I wanted to talk about this on-going issue for a long time now but my Instagram account was suspended. All of you must have seen one of my videos of crowdwork from a show for which I am getting a lot of hate for that, and I believe that I deserve this hate fully,” he said.
The comedian admitted that the audience member had made “several derogatory things” during the interaction and acknowledged that he should have stopped the exchange immediately.
“Because when we were doing the crowdwork with that boy, he said several derogatory things but everyone was laughing on it and I got carried away by it and it was a huge lapse in judgement from me. I do believe it was a massive fault on my side. If I wanted, I could have stopped him then and there and stop the whole thing but I wasn't able to do that,” he stated.
Taking accountability for the platform he provided, More added, “I gave him that platform due to which the whole thing escalated immensely. Whoever has gotten hurt due to this, I am deeply sorry about it.”
He also confirmed that he is cooperating with the legal proceedings linked to the controversy and appealed to viewers for another opportunity.
“To everyone watching, I just want to request this specifically that all of you, please give me one chance and I will try and become a better person. This whole thing was a learning for me and I promise to work on myself and also work on the content I put out.”
The statement marks More’s strongest acceptance of responsibility yet as the fallout from the viral controversy continues.
