Let me preface this post by first commending the PH for the fantastic set up for the Tanveer reveal and of course the up-coming emotional conflict that Zoya will face. It was a brilliant way to start the new track just as the old (very convoluted one) is ending.
Zoya gets her hands on the pregnancy report. Finally, the extent of Tanveer's immorality has been revealed to one of our leads. To me, it was completely understandable that Zoya didn't show Asad the reports right away. Was it a selfish thing to do? -Yes. But I don't envy her position. Her life's mission has been to find her father. With Tanveer enticing her with and promising her the knowledge of his whereabouts it is not inconceivable that Zoya would struggle to do the right thing. This was the one of many emotional conflicts she is going to face when confronted with choice of her Mr.Khan and her father - Gaffur.
Dilshaad narrating the story was the perfect way to set-up Zoya's choice and make no mistake a choice has been made. Though we haven't seen it play out on-screen, yet, Zoya has picked truth over lies, the hard way instead of the easy route...Asad over her father. This tiny scene has already put into motion a narrative where Zoya will continue to have an emotional struggle but will still choose to do the right thing.
So, it does seem like tomorrow is a plan that has been executed by all members of the Khan family. I absolutely adored Zoya dousing Tanveer in water. Ha! Watching that smirk being wiped off was epic! Tanveer really is not having a good day š
Side note: Vikram makes an appearance tomorrow, it would seem.
