This is the main issue I have with his reviews. He tends to view everything as too practically and logically. But human beings and consequently cinema isnt always about logic. For certain genre of films its fine. But for genres like romance VI goes way off the mark.

He is not a serious reviewer, never has been. His reviews are basically spoofs on films, that he doesn't like. That is the reason, why he doesn't review every film that comes out...only picks out on films, which have genuine plot loopholes or are totally W*F! (According to him)
Can't see the need to rant over him...a lot of people enjoy reading his reviews, because more often than not, his comic strip reviews are far better than the film itself!
Not saying, that I haven't been irritated by his reviews now and then!😆 Its a bit annoying to read a spoof on some movie that you really liked!
But overall, I don't find his reviews to be pretentious or over-rated at all!

I am not a fan of his work.i do agree to the point that sometimes he stretches his cynicism in asking and looking for logic everywhere..i did enjoy his spoof on jthj though.it was fun coz d movie had big loopholes..
But having said that I will give him the benefit of doubt.its his job and he has to make fun of every movie coz he is getting paid for it.some humor will fall flat since any humor done mechanically will become boring at tyms.if someone likes his reviews their sensibilities are matching his and who are we to judge just coz our sensibilities are different.
Calling him or anyone who enjoys his reviews pretentious in my personal opinion is cynical.

The only thing I don't like about his review/spoof is, he gives away the ending/suspense . Otherwise I find his take hilarious most of the time.

I love his reviews. Though they've begun to get a lot un-funnier with the time.

I love his reviews, because he reviews every scene practically and adds humour. I guess I love his reviews because I kind of find the same faults what he sees in the movie. for instance YJHD - what I thought about the film and his review were spot on!!

Depends on how the reader takes it. If you plan to skip a movie based on his take, or based on how ridiculous the plot appears through his eyes, then you might be missing a good movie 'cause ultimately its all about the CONNECT, regardless of how flawed a film is. This I realized only recently when I read his review after watching the movies and at times he'd crack me while at times we were on completely opposite poles. Its his job to poke fun and need not be taken seriously.

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised that he didn't do one on Lootera😛

While most films have their rating go down as more votes come in, Dhurandhar only keeps rising!!!
