Hi all! 😊

Amongst all these new films coming out, I was wondering, rather than what your favourite new film is, what are all your favourite old Hindi films? The black and white ones, specifically? 😳

I'm just looking for a weekend getaway, blast to the past film full of the typical magic found in old Bollywood pictures. And since I have nowhere to start, I thought I'd give it a try and ask our fellow abled IF forum members 😆

Haha, awww. I'm personally a bigger fan of older films than newer ones, however, I mostly have films of Dharmendra ji or Amitabh Bachchan at home.. I was looking for something different, and internet searching just seemed to overwhelming!

Indeed, I used to think the same when I was a kid! Then I realized that the reel was just black and white! 😆

Yes, me as well! The songs were excellent! 👏 😳

It's really sad, I cried. But the film leaves a lasting impact. The first Hindi film to win the Golden Globes as well. 😃

Then it is my type of movie! 😃 Thank you so much for your input... this is the exact type of film I was looking for.. the last black and white film I've seen was Saraswatichandra, and I was looking for something just as epic as that one! 😊

I also see it's one of the top 25 must see bollywood films list! 😳

You are welcome. 😃Oh I've watched Saraswatichandra as well, long time ago. Absolutely loved it but it was so frustrating to watch. 😒B&W movies can be surprisingly good. The other good ones are Pyasa and Dosti from what I remember.

Mother India.

It was a black&white film, the normal one came later on.

It's pretty good isn't it? 😆 That's exactly how I describe the serial too... it's the only Hindi serial I watch, in fact, and man oh man, although it's drastically different from the volumes and the film, it's equally as magical, I must say 😊 The ending of the film and the novels killed me internally though, and I hope it doesn't end the way the film did

They actually can be surprisingly good. A lot of them have morals and lessons in them too, which is what I like the most, besides the songs and the comedy I think 😳

Oh I've seen Dosti, very good one. Thank you so much! 😃 I am Veera, by the way! 😊
