Dear Ashi,

@red is perfect. I am still laughing!

Another thing, though not directly relevant to this topic.

After she is confronted with the situation of being the other woman, why on earth does Purvi not check up about Onir's first marriage, as she believes it to be, with people in Kolkatta, Shambu Dada or Onir's friend, or that Dr, Bhargava? I would have thought that a Nosy Parker like Purvi, so adept at ferreting our Punni's secrets, could have tried her hand at this quite successfully, but she does not even think about it. And this when it is so vital for her personally. Nor do Archana or Manav. Strange.

Finally, while I believe that Onir is best off without Purvi, I am not sure what is going to happen. As I wrote elsewhere, I have a sneaking suspicion that by now, she is nowhere near as involved with Arjun as Onir imagines, and much more affected by Onir's 'betrayal' than would be warranted by mere anger. She also misses their life together and remembers all his kindness and affection towards her, something that I had not expected.

If she ever finds out about this hoodwinking exercise, she will go back to Onir like a shot, and not just out of a feeling of guilt. Unless, of course, he disappears without leaving a forward address, like his Mishti!

So by law Purvi cant marry Arjun or anyone else if Shalini is not Onir's first wife. howcome Onir is not thinking about Divorce, he can say that I know our marriage is not valid but still Shalini wants me to give you divorce. or may be Onir is also confuse as everyone in the show..

in general view, if Purvi asked him by putting hand on Pari's head...then how it is valid even if he takes his hand out or not...atleast in Purvi's view she beleived it because Onir cannot lie by taking Pari's kasam right, thats why she beleived it right...
if CVs justify the act because hand was not there on pari's head when he told it...then CVs are ruining Purvi more because she is not even looking at good person in the Onir...
how can CVs justify the Purvi deserves a good person like Onir...

I am unsure of the Archana scene you are talking about. However, when you take a kasam, you are to keep your hand on the head and make your claim/statement. You can even say the words "Hum kasam khata..." Those are the only times a true kasam is taken.

In the Onir scene, he indeed took his hand off Pari and turned away, prior to making the statement.

even if you put hand or not...the dialogue flow is like he took kasam, otherwise why Purvi will beleive it...
when Purvi asked "aap pari ki kasam kaa ke boliye such kya hein"
the Onir dialogue is "yes, me and shalini are married"...
if you say people say "hum kasam kathe hein..." without putting hand on head...then that is proper kasam...then there is not breaking dialougue in this conversation so if you put hand or not you said yes to prior sentance means you took kasam...right???...

Masti either way by putting your hand or verbally taking kasam is for real...One should not be lying or falsely taking it...Their conscious is supposed to honor that..Or dont take it period.

Not really. You see, Purvi was in emotional distress... so she would not have noticed that Onir moved his hand away, therefore she assumed he took Pari's kasam. So Onir can lie and not have to worry about it being a kasam. It's kind of like a loophole, like when Americans cross their fingers when they make a promise/answer a question which in their heart they know is not really true... which Onir successfully achieved.
