Prabhunath is asked to arrange for the money ASAP else he would lose his house. He gets shocked and falls down, and is taken to the hospital by Akash. The doctor declares it to be a minor heart attack and he needs to be kept away from stress.
Poonam thanks Akash. She calls Gautam to inform him about her father's health, and also requests him to postpone the marriage till her father's health stabilises, to which he agrees. He promises her to come over and visit with his family.
Poonam then pays back a reluctant Akash the fees that he paid for Prabhunath's treatment and thanks him profusely. She bursts into tears, only to be comforted by Akash.
Gautam's parents arrive and hatch a ploy to prevent the wedding from being postponed. Poonam and her family are worried for Gautam's family (who pretend to be beaten up by goons). Prabhunath then declares that the marriage will not be postponed because of his poor health, and all will take place as was previously planned.
Akash is arguing with the hospital staff regarding some administrative matters, much to the embarrassment of Poonam. She apologises on his behalf to the agitated hospital staff and doctors, which hurts Akash, who leaves as he doesn't want to be of any trouble to her.
Precap: Gautam's parents are furious cause they think Prabhu-Vandana are getting rid of their burden (Poonam) and going off to the US. Gautam's dad decides to come up with a plan.
