Thanks, Muneeza. I've been thinking a lot about how we all have responded to this show. It all boils down to our age and our life experiences. I know many of the forum members are a lot younger than I am; they probably have not been exposed to situations where their loyalty and love for their parents has been tested. Once you are married (especially if you are Indian), you come across situations where you have to stand up for your parents and it does cause some tension in your married life, but life goes on and gradually both life partners learn to love and respect each other's parents.
I tend to relate to Rusty so much because I'm fiercely protective about my own mom. I love my husband and his family, but occasionally I've had to put my foot down when something unfair is said about my mom.
Above all, we have to remember - the show is all fiction and we are not. We all have families and lives that shape our thinking. Some of you may totally disagree with how I feel, but, hey... that's life 😊 😊 😊 ... and thanks to my family, it is a good life 😊 😊 😊
