I don't think a replacement can be the sole reason for increasing TRp's or that FK was the sole reason for the drop (although his lack of connect with both his colleauges and audience definitely was a part of the reason). I can't blame Fk for shoddy directing and storylines or disasteroud background scores which detracted from the scenes...for that I blame the PH. Actually, I also blame the PH for FK, but that's another story.

trp is 0.7 a little improvement but still not enough ...hope it will reach on top one day

What I'm hoping will happen is that the replacement will create enough of a buzz to make people curious enough again to give the show a second chance and the PH will make use of this opportunity to revamp the show to one that is worthy of being associated with names such as Sanaya Irani and Supriya Pathak. It's hard for me to judge the show because as long as I see Sanaya and she gets decent screen time I'm happy (sorry, hopeless Sanaya drooler here😊) but I've heard people say that the direction and story have been better this week with the director being replaced so that's definitely a step in the right direction.

I haven't been able to participate on the forum much this week due to a dodgy internet connection but can someone tell me if this Anuj news has been confirmed by the PH/channel. I've seen posts for jodi names etc. but refuse to get my hopes up until the PH says so or I see Anuj on screen. If it's true why aren't the PH making more of it in a bid to attract viewers, or would that be deemed as being insensitive towards FK?

Jaya, to answer your last question, I have been wondering the same thing. I think since FK has been sacked for his shoddy performance ... this article makes no bones about that, unlike some other articles we read 😛 ... the PH is being considerate to him by not airing news of his replacement before he actually exits ... it could be disastrous for his career, as this is his first show and everyone knows leeway is always given to newbies, despite that he did not pick up enough. Am not talking about his off screen equation with the rest of the cast ... though I am sure that had something to do with his dismissal as well.

I am hoping for a promo either tonight after the episode, which will hopefully be FK's last, or tomorrow or over the weekend, to re-kindle interest in the show ... something along the lines of 'chehre badal jaate hain, kirdaar nahin' ... together with more scenes of the wedding and UB's plans ... Umaben could not stop ChanMan's shaadi, but will she allow it to last?
I hope Sony uses the three day weekend well to promote the show all over again with Anuj/Sanaya together ...

I also don't blame FK alone for the low TRPs ... the shoddy execution in the first few weeks shares the blame ... but if he had been a better actor, the decline might not have been so steep, considering the first few weeks were dedicated to ChanMan and their romance. Having such a poor actor was disastrous for the show ... and now we are getting a better actor, when the focus will shift to Sanaya-Supriya. So don't know how much difference it will make ... now it is more important for the script and the screenplay to pick up.
