Bollywood actor Jiah Khan committed suicide in her Juhu flat on Monday night at 11 pm, according to TV reports. TV reports suggest that the actress hung herself at her flat in Sagar Tarang apartment in Juhu in Mumbai.

Preliminary reports suggest that Jiah committed suicide though the cause of her death is still unconfirmed.

Actor Dia Mirza reportedly broke the news of Jiah's death on micro blogging site Twitter.

The actress debuted opposite legendary Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Verma's film Nishabd in 2007.

She also acted opposite Aamir Khan in Ghajini (2008) and Akshay Kumar in Housefull (2010).

Jiah was brought up in England and had shifted to Mumbai recently to act in Hindi films.

MUMBAI: Actress Jiah Khan committed suicide at her Juhu residence on Monday night.

The 25-year-old actor is learnt to have hung herself inside the house.

Jiah was brought up in England and had shifted to Mumbai with her mother Rabiya recently.

"She had been depressed for some time due to personal issues, but was keen on returning to acting soon. She was also meeting filmmakers regarding projects," sources close to the actress said.

Jiah made her debut opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma's Nishabd. She also acted opposite Aamir Khan in Ghajini and Akshay Kumar in Housefull.

Actress Jiah Khan committed suicide at her Juhu residence on Monday night. The reason of the suicide is still unknown.

Jiah used to live with her mother in Mumbai and was alone in her flat at the time of the incident. The actress is believed to have hung herself with a piece of cloth around 11pm. Her mother informed police about the suicide around 11.45pm.

Jiah Khan made her Bollywood debut opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma's Nishabd. She was also seen with Aamir Khan in Ghajini and Akshay Kumar in Housefull.

Jiah used to live with her mother in Mumbai and was alone in her flat at the time of the incident.
