I have been watching the show on and off ... After watching today's episode was wondering, does not India-Muslims know how to write Urdu?
My question is to CVs, if you wanted to make a show based on Muslim families - Urdu speaking families ... At least, should have done your homework properly. Or what was the point of creating the show in the first place?
I understand majority of people living in India does not know how to read Urdu. Understandable. It's not a Urdu speaking country, but then again, people living in Pak or non-Indians who watch Indian shows do not know how to read Hindi either. Kam Chala Hi Letein Hain.
When Asad was already narrating the message, was that message being in Hindi really necessary? This show is so bloody unrealistic. I think, this show is only on top due to popularity of actors and romance. Other than that, the show is a joke, no offence. Especially to people who relate to this culture.
At least, could have written in Roman English. Asad message should have been this way. Not that hard:

Calm down! They teach Hindi in schools there and i think not Urdu Script so he wrote in hindi. On other note they show it in Hindi because the indian audience can read Hindi and its easy for them. They don't write in english either because English speaking people in India can still read Hindi but Hindi speaking people won't be able to read english. They do it for the audience of India. I am not Indian nor i can read Hindi but it's common sense why they show Hindi script.

Affirmative.

As were all of Gul's shows.

Although it's not crap for me, and I enjoy the 'actors' and 'romance'. 😊

I really don't know much Hindi or Urdu, but what language do they speak in this show? I thought it was a combination of both.

I agree with TopicMaker... If you are making a show abt a particular culture then at least do some homework...it wouldn't hv bin a prob for the audience to understand what the message read coz zoya would read it aloud any way..so the CVz could hv shown the message in Urdu script...personally I find the script of Urdu the most b'tfl of any language I hv read, it wud hv bin a real cultural experience for non-Urdu speaking ppl. I hv seen Indian soaps where they show Gujrati or Marathi families, their Invitation cards nd greetings are in their regional languages which most ppl in the audience can't read, bt it works.
P.s. I am a Muslim from Delhi and I can read nd write Urdu nd so can most Indian Muslims.
