I can't even tell you how much I'm enjoying this. I love Khushi's character and attitude. And poor Arnav. Imagine, turning up at the police station and having to ask for her. I guess she's an Inspector?
SS: Anything Goes part 5
"Dinner?" Khushi asked with pouted lips as she waited for Mohan to take his things from his locker. He closed it and laughed at her. "You're starting to make me think you're asking me out."
Khushi slapped his arm and pulled him from his jacket. "No. Sorry if you think that, but it's really not the case."
The two were almost out the door when Deep called her name. "Your boyfriend is waiting outside." Khushi's eyes widened and she quickly left the building.
Lo and behold, Arnav Singh Raizada was leaning against his car in black pants, black shirt, and a grey tie. She would have easily swooned if she weren't otherwise angry with him.
"I think you found your dinner date," Mohan said with a wink before he waved at Arnav and continued to walk towards his car. Khushi was going to stop him but Arnav's intent gaze on her pulled her towards him.
"Hey," Arnav greeted her with his charming, faint-worthy smile. Khushi nodded her head back in response. "Look, I'm an easy going guy. I'm not a jerk but I'm sure that's what I came across as yesterday. I admit, I completely misunderstood the events of a few nights ago. I uh...saw your press conference last night on the news. If it makes you feel any better, I felt like an ass. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, I'm sorry."
Khushi didn't realize she was smiling at him the entire time he was giving his explanation. But she had to say something quickly - he was waiting for some kind of a reply after all.
"Oh it's fine, really. I'm just glad that you no longer have any bad thoughts about me. I mean, for a second, I thought you came here to file a harassment report against me."
"I'm so sorry about saying those things! I really did not mean it, I was just...really blowing things out of proportion."
Khushi laughed and squeezed his shoulder. "Relax. I'm not offended...at least not anymore. But thank you for coming here. Now everything is settled between us."
She stuck her hand out and Arnav quickly took it. His hand felt so warm next to hers. So soft and smooth. When she pulled her hand away, she couldn't help but internally frown.
"Um, one more thing." He started as he dug his hands in his pockets. "How are you up for dinner?"
"You don't have to take me to dinner. I promise, there are no hard feelings." No, Khushi was really just trying to play hard to get.
"It's not that. Thing is...ok I'm not even going to play around the bush anymore; I thought you were beautiful when I saw you the first time. If things had happened differently that night, I still probably would have asked you to dinner. So I'm asking you again: dinner?"
Khushi couldn't hold her smirk back. Him calling her beautiful made her heart go wild. If it were any man saying that to her, she probably wouldn't care but it was something about Arnav's sweet and kind personality that really attracted her. Not to mention his gorgeously formal attire.
When he saw the corners of her lips curling up, his own lips gave way. She finally nodded her head positively. "Alright. But I'm telling you right now, sometimes my sarcasm slips into civilized conversations."
Arnav chuckled and tilted his head a bit to the side. "I think I can handle that." Khushi raised her eyebrows and shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. I guess time will tell."
Arnav gazed at her for a moment - taking in her brown eyes, lined with kohl to make them pop even bigger than they already are, her naturally light pink tinted cheeks, her ridiculously smooth skin which he wondered just how soft it would feel under his fingers. He let his eyes look at her rosy lips for just a fraction of a second. She had the sweetest smile, he concluded. "Indeed. Time will tell." And even though the two acted casual about it, they both had the same hope on the inside. Maybe this was finally the man that could fill up Khushi's lonely life, and maybe Khushi was finally the one to fill up Arnav's.

Khushi opened her eyes and found herself in a completely different setting. This was not her house...She looked next to her and there he was. Naked from the waist up. She inched closer and hovered over him. She patiently waited for him to open his eyes. She stroked his stubbly cheeks and his sharp jawline when she was interrupted. "Khushi?" She heard her name but it was coming from behind her. She turned to look and died of embarrassment. "MOHAN?!"
"Khushi!"
Khushi gasped so hard she choked for a second. She looked around hastily and she was back in her room. A dream?! She yelled internally.
"Get up!" She still heard a voice. She whipped her head and coming from behind her bedroom door she heard Mohan's voice.
She wiped the sleep from her eyes and went to open the door. "Mohan, the key was for emergencies. What the hell is this?" She asked in her sleepy state.
"Sure princess! Except our shift starts in half in hour! What the hell are you doing?"
"What? No, no, no! It can't be! It's -"
"Wednesday. Are you hung over? Is this what you do when you go on your first date with the biggest tycoon of Delhi?"
Khushi was completely deranged. She couldn't think straight. But when Mohan said that, she stopped fixing her bed and went and stood right in front of him with her index finger out. "If ONE more person tells me how big of a tycoon he is, I WILL rob his company."
"Isn't that ironic?" Mohan said with a grimace. Khushi went to her closet to grab a pair of jeans and a simple red top before brushing past her comrade to the bathroom.
"Mohan, I swear if you're gay just tell me now. You seem more interested in this Arnav Singh -- what's his last name?" She called from inside the bathroom.
"Raizada!" He said shaking his head at her craziness. "And mind you, but I am not gay! So you like him?"
"Oh you know, right when he said -- ARE YOU FRICKING KIDDING ME MOHAN? I'm not going to tell you that! But to put your heart at ease, I don't like him." She opened the bathroom door all dressed up, and brushed her teeth for another few seconds before rinsing her mouth.
She came and breathed right on Mohan's nose. "Good?" She asked. He pushed her away and waved the air in front of him. "That's sick, Khushi."
"Take it as it is, honey." She went and quickly applied eyeliner to her eyes and looking at her messy hair in vain, didn't bother brushing it and tied it up in her usual bun.
"How much time?" She called out and jerked her leather jacket off the couch before running to the main door to put her shoes on. "Fifteen."
"Oh my God!! Chief is going to kill us!" She didn't waste another moment. She locked her door and instead of taking her own car, she grabbed Mohan's car keys and ran to the driver's seat.
"Khushi! You're not driving my car!" He yelled after her but she was already in and had the ignition running. "Look, I can leave you behind right now." She gave him a threatening stare and he rolled his eyes, and giving in, sat in the passenger seat. Khushi definitely drove like a maniac but managed to follow one of the rules of the road by respecting the lights. Other than that, all rules were broken.
