Oh dear, is it just me who can't stand the great doctor Vrinda's bhashan's at every turn of the way?

Okay, this serial has made her a doctor to introduce some pizzazz into a marriage that was nothing more than an arranged marriage. Fine. But after that, the sort of bhashans she gives Jalandhar at every step of the way is getting increasingly insufferable.

The initial ones - about his need to rest - I can understand that any doctor would suggest that. But the ones since - about worshipping Vishnu, or talking about the value of war - since when was Vrinda one of those 'Coexist' pacifists? The worshipping Vishnu part is itself tough to digest for someone who was a daughter of Kalnemi, but even putting that aside for a moment, for her to put arguments up about her religious freedom was unbelievable.

But what took the cake was Friday night's episode, when Vrinda is tending to the wounds of asura soldiers (itself unbelievable given that they showed only Vritra doing all the fighting). She's giving him that big bhashan about whether a victory over the dead bodies of these soldiers is worth it. Such a speech behooved someone like Mandodari, when she was talking Ravan out of a war he started. But in Jalandhar's case, at least as depicted in this serial, he has a just cause for going to war, and even if he didn't, Vritra would have (I'm going by the script here, not the original). Why are they projecting the views of today's anti-war crowds on to Vrinda, when she's not known for that, but instead, is known for her devotion to Jalandhar and nothing else?

Which brings me back to Kalnemi. He's hoping for his daughter to marry Jalandhar, but after all these arguments, does it even begin to make sense that Jalandhar would agree to marry Vrinda? Why would he, if she's such a sympathizer of the devas & Vishnu? And how does this characterization of Vrinda even make sense, given that she's considered one of those pativrata stris who didn't worship anyone except her husband? (Which is another reason that her being a devotee of Vishnu is hard to digest - pativrata women, like Sati, Savitri, Sita, Anusuya, Sulochana, et al did not worship anybody except their husbands.

The way the story is evolving, I'm getting the impression that they won't show Vrinda marry Jalandhar - she'll marry Vishnu in the guise of Jalandhar, and that version will follow. Or it may just not come to that at all. But I would be curious about how they whitewash Vishnu's role in this story - something that this serial is notorious for doing.

Some sections are going gaga because after the domestication of Parvati they are getting a strong Vrinda and a possible lover story in J and V.
Am not in for the way Vrinda is shown in the show more like a bashan queen and they are trying to explore a love story here. According to the writer nothing much to shed light on Vrinda in written material so uses his own imagination and also like I said some section are going over the top about the so called Vrinda Jalandhar love story and chemistry.
He also had ttweeted someone that it is going to be tricky to get teh Vishnu angle.
All along they have maintained both Vishnu and Mahadev in high regard in the show they will not taint that yet.

You have a point they might not show Vrinda marry Jalandhar.

@Vrish
I completely agree with you 😉👍🏼.
Even I did not like Vrinda's depiction in the show, but what can we do?
The episode that you have stated was a big 🤣. I hope you have understood what I m trying to say.
Only Vitrasur was shown fighting & the rest were shown as props. I mean come on, they are showing a war, so there should some fighting, some action packed sequences, but what we saw was a complete no-nonsense drama.

May be J has started liking her lectures. he wants to prove her, that he is right, that's why he asked her to be with him in the war.
Wasn't Shukrachary making all dead Asuras alive with his Sanjeevani Vidya, then Dr. Vrinda attending to the injured Asras? This is what I have read.
Let's see what else we have to watch about Vrinda.

thank you vrish for opening this pole..seriously since when vrina became a doctor?? and their marriage was arranged not a love..they are terribly dragging it..but vrinda being vishnu devotee was true acc to some versions..some versions also said she is form of lakshmi..so she wanted vishnu as her husband and even after marriage she ws untouched by jalandhar..

Vrish.. yeh toh sirf trailer hai..to say the real story has still not started..!! 😆

After discussion with a fellow member here just recently.. pointed out that Vrinda would make a real good lawyer instead of a Doctor..!! 😆

Anyways..I seriously don't get the point..as to why they have to show a love story btwn JV.. when it was out n out an arrange marriage..!!

Let's see what the writer has in his mind..waiting for the Main story to begin..!!

Totally cracked me up. Especially with the comment abt Vrinda being a Coexist Pacifist!
ANd about what you said, that Vishnu will marry her in the guise of Jalandhar. But that would be downright cheating! All JV fans will personally come to the set to throw eggs!
But the problem is, as the writer has pointed out, Vihsnu had such respect, so if they show him cheating VRinda, everyone will be, like 😲
Plus, the Vaishnavas will SERIOUSLY object.
And I don't think the Cv's want such probs bcoz of their storyline.
Anyway, I dn't think Vrinda is just gonna stop giving bhashan and start behaving like pativrata.
So, ya, she is and will b, a Bhashan Machine

i believe that the arguments between J and V are more of a believer and a hard core atheist.. both are trying to prove their points
