@ksst-Vrinda isnt a Godess
atleast now as per the story line she isnt-right now she is just an asuras daughter
Vrinda gets her divine status only AFTER she dies and Vishnu blesses her

In the attempt to show her like a strong confident woman she is shown to be too over confident and miss know it all.
They seem to be creating their own version of the story. Not so happy with how it is shown but all we can do is wait and watch.
They have always to safeguard Mahadev and Narayan in the process of even degrading Shakti.

ideally they should have stuck to one version only-not to forget thier whole added masala is a bit weird!
Vrindas story has ,multiple versions, multiple interpretations-they have put thier hands into too many versions, now its sounding a bit messy!

i mean for starters Vrindas main characteristic is supposed to be that she is Pativrata-thats IT!
for starters they make a whole "love story"-ok till there ok
then they make her a Vishnu Bhakt-ok till there also fine!!
but noow they are showing her giving gyaan to Jalandhar about the Asur-Devta war!
errr
it sounds strange,it almost makes her sound like a hypocrite cos she keeps changing sides in her arguments-sometimes she supports the Devtas, sometimes the Asurs
you seriously doubt her loyalties!-it sounds really weird

Vrindas character is supposed to be soft, devoted, pious and pure-so far i havent seen any such characteristic i her!
they have made her a "strong warrior princess" type here!-she wasnt...
Infact of what i have heard in the relation Jalandhar is supposed to have the upper hand-be strong, cold calculating and she the complete opposite...
they are making the Jalandhar Vrinda story very confusing-either they should have stuck to being a Pativrata or a Vishnu Bhakt!
thier version has made her na Ghar ki Na Ghat ki!-its a bit confusing!

about the Vishnu part, even i am sure they are going to whitewash it-
but i think Vrinda should stop advicing Jalandhar-i mean thats a Guru's job right?
why doesnt Shukrachrya say something😆

The mixing of versions is something this serial does, but they don't put any thought into whether the khichdi is even digestible. In this track only, they're doing that w/ Vritra already. As I mentioned in the D&D2 thread, there are 2 stories about how Vritra was killed. The conditions that he listed to Jalandhar are mentioned in one story, while in the other, where the vajra was what was used to kill him, those conditions didn't exist. If they did, I don't see how the vajra could have killed him.

But back to Vrinda. I'm still not getting the purpose of her role here. Let me for a moment suspend the perception that this serial is Mahadev centric (it makes too much of effort to whitewash Vishnu even wrt Mahadev to be called that), and accept that they want to show Vrinda as a Vishnu bhakt. Okay. But if that's the purpose, why bring her into Jalandhar's story at all?

And if she's a pativrata, showing her as arguing w/ Jalandhar about the war, or her religious freedoms, or anything else, is just out of place.

And if they are making up their own story about her out of whole cloth, how do they plan to end it? In the original, it was ended by Vishnu tainting her and then her dying after cursing Vishnu. But if they show it here, I just don't see how they do it w/o making Vishnu look really ugly. If they don't show that, then what do they show - that she just is the physician of Jalandhar's army, and after he's killed by Mahadev, her role ends? It's a bit like Kartikeya-Devasena - he broke off relations w/ her after learning about how she had originally come to deceive him, and since then, she's gone. Of course, they can still resurrect it anytime they like.

The other aspect of this is that since they've used Mohit to play both Mahadev & Jalandhar, it actually won't look perverted of Jalandhar to crave Parvati - in fact, it's the Jalandhar-Vrinda relationship that's more likely to antagonize viewers, particularly those who watch it for Moharika, and ain't interested in a Nehit. So this current track seems to be a total mess, and I'm interested in seeing how they get out of it.

Incidentally, do any of the Vishnu stories, like Vishnu purana, have the Vrinda/Jalandhar story? Or is that exclusively in the Shiva Puranas as well as the Mahabharata?

Each word u say is correct she is made to look like a Miss Know it all or more like the author's alter ego working in progress. I wish to see some characters stick to what is prescribed about them in the scriptures. Trying to depict a strong woman but makes no sense in this context where the fight is not an irrational one. Indra needs to be punished for his bad deeds so what was this Miss Preachy going on and on about.

Please don't make it an argument I have nothing against the actress bot not happy with the character. If u like please continue doing so. We are just critiquing in a constructive way here. So there is no need to get too defensive.

How? It will only show Vishnu as a lecherous character, if that's what they show. I mean, the whole Ramayan story about Sita's abduction & rescue is about illustrating the importance of respecting other people's marriages, even if the enveloping story is about Vishnu taking that avatar to slay Ravan.

But when one factors in Vishnu's treatment of Vrinda, then he's just being a good ole hypocrite. This story, superimposed w/ the Ramayan, just illustrates that going after other people's wives is only wrong when done by ordinary people. If it's done by Vishnu, it's A-OK 🤢

I think that what they might show is Vishnu not being involved in the defeat of Jalandhar at all, and that his killing being a Shiva-Parvati project. That way, the serial gets to promote its jodi, avoid showing a leading vikalp in bad light, and skating through cleanly, even if it means a major distortion of the original story. Heck, they might even have Indra taking the form of Jalandhar in order to give Vishnu the pass.

Only thing then left to see is whether they have Jalandhar marry Vrinda. One thing - if Jalandhar is an ansh of Shiva, then it should be impossible to kill him - w/ or w/o Vrinda doing all her tapasya for him. I don't see how she can stop Shiva/Parvati from killing him. Of course, Shukracharya is on Jalandhar's case about him marrying, while Kalnemi wants Vrinda to marry Jalandhar. So I think they will show that, but then how it plays out remains to be seen.
