I say Simran should give her a good solid slap, tell her what an ungrateful person she is and tell her to go by her precious grandmother and stay there.

All this patience is spoiling Astha more. She should know how distateful her character is and no one wants to be associated with her.

Her attitude is reflective of an evil wicked person. Is is not acceptable that she is dragging this on for so long. And it is not a result of having a pampered upbringing either. The girl has absolutely no love from simran.

I believe a Tit for Tat will work just fine. Simran can start ignoring Astha all together. It will be very very tough for a parent to do that. Right now Astha sees that Simran is trying to please her and therefore is taking for a longer ride. The day Simran breaks off all contact with her and the rest of the family starts to act a little wierd too.. it may be the beginning.. but this method will also have its own drawbacks.

I totally agree with you. Everything that Simran does she hates and the whole grandma situation. If she was so upset whey didn't she take her out from there and live with her. Take care of her. Then maybe she would have realzied what a whack job her grandma really was.

She really needs to chill out.

Someone, with brain of his/her own, needs to step in and explain different perspective of situations, perhaps that will help. I do not agree with Astha's behaviour, at the same time I still pity this little girl for all the injustice done by her father- Abhi, her grand parents by giving her away, and Simran by lying and not teaching her dicipline.

Hi friends,
This issue of "how to teach Astha a lesson?" has already been discussed under various topics.Maybe some of you missed it.With due respect to your post,I am writing this reply.

I'm really taken aback to see that most people see a slap or a good beating as Astha's "treatment".
I am not aware of the members' age or whether they are parents themselves. Please note that I'm not trying to make anyone change one's mind. But it does intrigue me.

I personally feel that the root cause of Astha's bad behavior is lack of communication. It has all started with the revelation of her identity, and has continued because they don't seem to be involving her in any family matter.Their intentions may be good but they have to give her the benefit of doubt.
I thought after the "simran moving to Abhi's house" episode, things would change.Saurabh and Simran had a discussion(excellent acting by both)which I thought would bring some difference.

Astha is not insane....she is hurt and misguided.Simran loves her and does not hold any grudge but that's not going to help.A tight slap as suggested will shut her up at that moment but what after that?It will humiliate her even more.Even the slap will have to be followed by an explanation.
We see Astha's joining hands with Kiran as foolish because we know Kiran.Astha does not...her parents and family won't tell her the truth. If Sia who knows everything can make the mistake of seeking sympathy from Kiran, why not Astha? Astha is oblivious of her vile ways.
Neha's diary is bound to aggravate any daughter's ill feelings.
We see the Saxena family as another family so it's easy for us to say" throw astha out".Would we really be able to do it to somebody we love very much???

Just give it a thought, friends. You have the right not to change your mind.

Cheers
