PART: 34

As they headed towards the hotel, khushi saw four men smoking at the side of a shop. All the thoughts of last night's event started to strike all over again. How those men saw her and followed her, how they held her hand when she tried to escape, how they touched her, how they were trying to get her scarf off. She stopped and held Arnav's hand tighter than ever with a fearful expression.

Arnav turned and raised his eyebrows.

Khushi's mouth dried and she couldn't utter a word seeing those men although they were not the same, neither they were trying to do anything to her. it's just that the way they were trying to tease her and the fact that Arnav wasn't there with her at that very moment has given her a big shock which she was trying to cover up in the morning. and NOW that she saw some guys, she just stopped at her steps.

Arnav: khuhi?

Khushi looked at him not wanting to worry about her.

Khushi: oh! Uh nothing'.. let's go to the hotel

Arnav confused: we ARE going to the hotel.

He waited for a reply and trying to get what's wrong with his khushi.

Khushi: oh! O yah! ' uhhh''. Is' Arnavji, is there any other way we could get to the hotel?

Arnav frowned: yah but that's a long one and we're Almost here! Just 5 more minutes.

Khushi didn't reply for a while.

Arnav: what's wrong khushi? You're tired? I don't have any problem to lift you in my arms.

He said with a naughty smirk But this was the first khushi that khushi's cheeks didn't go red, neither did she made her lips a perfect "O". she was just lost in her own thoughts which surely made Arnav worried.

Arnav holding her right shoulder: Khushi? Are you okay, sweetheart? What happened?

Khushi gulped: Arnavji, let's take the other way.

She Almost turned when Arnav held her hand. She turned to see a questioning Arnav.

Khushi: NOTHING ARNAVJI! I was just thinking to buy hot chocolate' too cold.

But Arnav knew that' not the case. It's something else.

Khushi noticed that those men were heading towards them and she started to shiver holding his hand.

Khushi: Arnavji, Let's ' let's go please.

He followed her gaze which stopped at those men who were heading towards them lost in their conversation, not even looking at HIS KHUSHI. NOW he get it! He understood how she was all okay in the morning but as she sees any of the unknown men especially those punks although they weren't even paying attention to their surroundings, khushi gets scared. And again, he felt killing shruti. And more than that he felt killing HIMSELF for not being there by her side at that very moment.

Khushi: Arnavji, come on. Hurry up !

Arnav: but why? We could get your hot chocolate from the nearby caffe as well. don't worry, it's '

Khushi: NO ! I said no. Arnavji please'. Look I'm too cold. I think we should take the other... other way.

And all the time, her gaze was on those guys who were heading towards them and khushi's face went white in fear.

Arnav held her waist tightly and pulled her to him making khushi confused and look at him. He looked at those guys and then looked into her fearful eyes. He lifted her and took her in his arms.

Khushi: Arnavji what are'

Arnav sternly: Ssshhh!

He started walking towards the hotel and walked past them. as soon as He walked past those men, khushi tightened her grip around his neck and hid her face, yet not uttering a word so that Arnav doesn't get a hint of what she's going through. But, he obviously did. And he pulled her closer to him making her feel she's protected and nobody could harm her. OF COURSE, she felt safe this time.

As they reached their hotel, khushi asked him to put her down. He put her down and Aman interrupted.

Aman: ASR, the manager needs to talk to you.

ASR: alright! I'll go to our room and will be back.

Khushi: no, I's okay Arnav! you carry on. Just give me the keys. I'll go by my self.

Arnav: okay!

He gave khushi the keys and khushi took the elevator and was about to enter their room when someone held her shoulder. she turned to find shruti standing.

Khushi was about to leave when she stopped her.

Shruti: I'm SO SORRY for that day khushi. I REALLY AM! I can't tell you how bad I felt when I saw you in that state. But what would I have done? When I was returning one of the shopkeeper told me that you left. So I thought you must be at the hotel.

Shruti lied.

Shruti: I had NO idea that you didn't know anything about this place.

She pretended to cry.

Shruti: I feel like killing myself. You-

Khushi: Shruti ji? Please , it's okay! Please don't cry. You're making me feel guilty.

Shruti: please forgive me khushi.

Khushi: I forgive you. It's ALRIGHT! Actually, I thought you left mepurposely but now I got it'.. it was just a misunderstanding. I'm so sorry!

Khushi hugged shruti and an evil smile curved shruti's lips.

Too easy for me to trap you khushi! This was obvious that you would forgive me. Good luck for your future, dear!

Khushi pulled back and

Shruti: thank you! Oh and khushi, please make sure Arnav doesn't know that you talked to me or we would meet up in the future. I know he won't forgive me so early. I know him very well. if he gets angry, it takes a long time to recover. Anyways, But I always wanna be your friend.

And again khushi was lost in her thoughts''"I know him very well". Shrutiji knows Arnav so well. has she ever'''.what are you THINKING KHUSHI?!

Khushi: don't worry. I will not. Bye

Shruti: bye.

Khushi was on their bed watching TV ' Actually the TV was on but she was lost in her own thoughts. Arnav entered the room and locked the door with a stern look.

Khushi: hi!

Arnav: still cold?

Khushi was confused.

Khushi: Cold? Why would I feel cold?

Arnav: I thought u were cold while coming back to hotel. Did you order something? Your hot chocolate?

Oh! She totally forgot that she lied about that. SHOOT!

Khushi: oh! Uhhh'. Well I'm o-

In one go, Arnav took off his jacket, his waist coat, tie ,threw it somewhere in the room and pinned khushi on the bed getting on top of her making her eyes widened in shock at this sudden step.

Arnav with a dangerous look: do you think I'm a fool?

Khushi: huh?

Arnav repeated: Do you think I'm a fool?!

Khushi: n'. no'. why '.uh' why would I think that?

Arnav: why did you lie?

Khushi was dumbstruck now. He actually GOT WHY SHE WAS BEHAVING LIKE THAT?!

Khushi: I didn't lie. Why would I lie about feeling cold?

Arnav raised an eye brow: oh really?! but when did I say that you were lying about feeling cold?

OOoppsss'' I'm trapped- khushi thought

Khushi: you know Arnav, I think we should change and sleep. I'm so tired.

Arnav: nope! Not yet, you gotta answer my question first.

Khushi: well I thought you were talking ab-

Arnav in a dangerous voice: stop stalling, khushi.

Khushi gulped. Nope I don't have a choice now.

Arnav sighed and changed her expression to a soft one. He kissed her nose.

Arnav: you were afraid of those men.

Khusho was taken a back. NOW WHAT? she lowered her face not meeting his eyes.

Arnav : look at me khushi.

Khushi stayed the same

Arnav sternly: khushi I said look at me.

she looked at him and

Arnav: you don't trust me, do you?

Ouch! Why did he say that? It hurt!

Tears filled in her eyes.

Now it was arnav's tme to be shocked.

He immediately sat on the bed as khushi put his hands off her and sat

Khushi: I don't trust you? I DON"T TRUST YOU ARNAVJI? Hwo could you even SAY THAT?!

Arnav: then why didn't you just tell me how scared you felt? OF COURSE YOU DON"T TRUST ME!

She grabbed her collar of the shirt and

Khushi: I DIDN'T TELL YOU BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT YOU TO FEEL OUTRAGED. I DIDN'T WANTED YOU TO GET WORRIED. I DIDN'T WANTED YOU TO WORRY FOR ME. YOU ALREADY HAD TO GO THROUGH SO MUCH. FIRST YOU PROTECTED ME FROM DADI, THEN THOSE GUYS AND NOW THIS?!

o-O'.. it was a bad choice to say that- arnav thought

She sighed and continued

Khushi: Arnavji, I trust you more than ANYONE ELSE '.I trust you more than myself. How could you justsay that I don't trust you?! It's YOU who loves me the MOST, it's YOU who cares for me the most, takes care of every single thing I need, protect me from every thing, RESCUE ME FROM everyone, it's YOU who worry for me the MOST, it's YOU who can't bear a single tear in my eyes and you're saying that I DON"T TRUST YOU?!

Arnav was taken a back at her sudden reaction. He knew all this. He knew why she didn't want to tell him. He knew the reason buthe didn't like the fact that khushi worries about him and therefore doesn't tell him the truth. It just pissed him off.

And yes, khushi WAS HURT by arnav's words. Without looking at him, she was about to get off the bed when arnav held her hand.

Khushi: Arnavji, I don't wanna talk to you.

But he didn't let it go. She struggled to free it but he just tightened his grip.

He finally was successful to pull her to the bed and got on top of her again.

Arnav: sorry!

Khushi: arnavji let go. I have other works.

Arnav: khushi I know you-

Khushi: Arnavji, hatiye. I don't want to talk to you! PLEASE!

But she didn't know what's coming next.

Arnav slammed his lips on hers taking it in his mouth. Khushi's eyes went bigger than the saucer. She was too shocked to react. She just kept wdenening her eyes as much as she could not being able to digest what he just did.

Arnav on the other hand, started exploring her mouth by going deeper and deeper. After sometime, when khushi finally digested what just happened she responded as well and they broke into a French kiss which was longer than ever.

Finally when they pulled back, both of them gasped for breath and khushi got redder than EVER. Arnav smirked seeing her tomato cheeks but suddenly changed his expression.

Arnav still on top of her: I'm sorry khushi. I didn't mean to hurt you. It's just that I DON"T like that fact that you hide something from me because you don't want ME WORRY. Khushi, I'm your HUSBAND for heaven's sake and it's MY RIGHT to worry for you, to protect you. Why do you think that i-

Khushi cupped his face and kissed his forehead: sorry Arnav. I know that. I know you have ALL the rights on me but I don't want you to worry about small things and get sick and-

Arnav: shut up khushi. i AM gonna know every single thing related to you and YOU Are gonna tell me if it's not infront of me. HAVE. I. MADe. MYSELF.CLEAR?!

Khushi gulped and then responded: y' yes.

Arnav: GOOD! I hope you remember that!
