Episode 165 Discussion: 9th Jan 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Episode 165 Discussion - EOD Summary

The Padmini-Shamsher wedding preparations and BSC Productions begin !

Events of the Episode

Balraj convinces Trishna to do the film for his maiden production. He is able to keep his promise goven to Bittuji and RK.
Trishna signs the contract to act in Balraj's film to pursue her dreams of becoming the Heroine in a movie. She is banking on the fact that Balraj doesn't know her and she is trying to control her fear. Balraj advances her the money and she gets the briefcase home.
Balraj goes to RK Mansion to inform RK that work assigned to him (to get Trishna sign the contract) is accomplished. He gets a lot of condiment boxes. And instead of RK, he ends up meeting Madhu. All his urges to kill her supercede his common sense and he contemplates how to kill her. He breaks glasses and while Madhu is on phone, proceeds to attack her...but fails as Madhu turns around. To cover his intentions, he hurts his hand with the broken glass.
Madhu provides him first aid. She bandages his cut hand. And Balraj keeps addressing her as his daughter and that he shall return her favor one day...But of course he means to kill her one day !
The wedding preparations for Padmini and Shamsher are going on in full swing with Roma and Madhu spearheading the arrangements. Roma and Padmini see a disturbed Trishna coming home and unable to put her heart into things around her. As she leaves to Roma's apt, Roma follows her out on seeing the mysterious briefcase and perturbed and avoiding Trishna...Episode ends.

Ironical...one daughter supports her mother, helps her to let go of a terrible past and move forward. The other daughter walks into the past and pulls it closer into the mother's life. Is it just the difference between a soutela and real daughter...don't think so. Trishna has always been selfish and self absorbed, her core nature is such. She loves her mother but her ambition and greed win over her love, and how does Balraj recognise that trait in her??!! He recognises that streak of selfishness in her just as he comprehends Madhu's compassionate streak...another astute, shrewd character in MBEIEJ.

Trishna's about turn today also focuses on the desperation that wannabe actors face in the movie industry. Dreams, ambitions, looks are just not enough, you need that one stroke of luck or a powerful mentor. In this case, her mentor is technically RK, but she does'nt know that, she is willing to accept Balraj as her stepping stone into the glam world. She signs the contract and accepts a 20 lakh signing amount!! It is a pathetic turn for the character, but cynic that I am, I had sort of guessed she would go this way.

Balraj comes to RK mansion ostensibly to inform him of his success with Trishna. He meets Madhu, chats with her in his loony, crazed manner and makes her uneasy. That whole drama yest when he walked behind her to hit her, was just drama, he cuts himself and Madhu being Madhu immediately bandages his cut for him, all along feeling extremely uncomfortable with his talk and behaviour. He intimidates her with his talk and leaves, not before forcing a box of sweets in her hand. His aggression disturbs madhu. RK in his token guest appearance (ok, stop being sarcastic Soundarya, we can't have dreamy scenes everyday, accept it, move on😆), is annoyed that Balraj came home. But he keeps mum when Madhu asks him further questions about Balraj's business with him.

Pre-cap- Trishna blurts out the name of the producer to Roma...Malik and Paddy overhear.

Didn't find today's ep very interesting.😕

Too much length of screentime expended on Trishna.

And there was no probable factor about Trishna's decision.

Radha🤢 and Trishna🤢 - each of them fondly caring so long as their interests are served - can both be *absolutely* counted on to finally make the decision that they think will best serve their *own* interest.😡

Madhu's scene with Balraj was also not upto the mark.😕 I loved Drashti in the scene (actually her every scene in the ep)😳, but Raj Zutshi is still not invoking the fright point for me.

The Rishbala scene was the one good one even in its briefness.⭐️ Thank heaven for at least that relief.😳

Since RK has unintentionally brought Ballu back in Madhu and Paddo's lives, just hope there will be no misunderstanding between Madhu and RK because of this.. I have a bad feeling this might just happen... Cant bear to see Rishbala separate..Hope Madhu understands this and stand by him or else poor Madhu will get bashed all over the forum😕😕

Sima, everytime for a while now that Madhu has stood against RK, she has found herself somehow wretchedly in the wrong, and he has risen even higher in her esteem.😊

Each time she completes a phase of standing against RK out of misunderstanding, she ends up prioritizing him even more over everyone else.😳

It's just getting through that phase - considering people like Radha and Trishna that Madhu strives for - that is difficult, but one can always look forward to the superb consequence vis-a-vis the Rishbala relationship despite the illeffect of Radha's and Trishna's selfishness.😊

RK usually either doesn't even try to explain himself or tries inadequately, but consider it Bappa's aegis over them both that things are cleared anyway, albeit at cost of some heartache to both.😳

todays epi full of confusion
when did rk promise trishna for the movie😕
and if he has then why he still hiding
how can balraj enter rk's house. where has the security gone😕
roma used such a gud line for trishna kitna girti rehti ho.😆
so the true trishna is back today. the same selfish and dumb trishna.

I liked Trishna's guts to sign for the film; to follow through her dreams of becoming a heroine of a movie. Don't all actors ask for one break? Any kind of break from whomsoever it is..they just go for it. Inspite of that opportunity taken, there is no guarantee that, one will get the success or not. Nevertheless, opportunity is what leads to that path of success or failure.
For Trishna who is past her prime age, she is definitely 26 or 27 considering that MB is 22; this opportunity, she cannot waste it. She decided to take the risk. She is shit scared and yet she took the plunge.

Balraj -Trishna
Balraj, kept remembering the Trishna, his young daughter of yesteryears when she used to entertain him as his game and today he yet again uses the same bait that attracts her...her dreams and aspirations...like when young, she was attracted to game and adventure.

Would Balraj have left alone Trishna or let her leave the premises in right shape had she not signed the contract ?
Did Trishna feel that she won't be able to leave the premises of BSC until she signs the contract ? After all she is first hand oppressed person at the hands of BSC. Even this girl has not psychologically come out of the shocking and fearful grip of her father and had never learned to say NO and just allow him to do whatever he pleases with her. Isn't she habitual to that ?
And to give her credit, she visited BSC, because he threatened to come to the chawl, which we the viewers know that he would not have gone there to keep his cover !

Balraj
If Trishna was one focus today, the other focus was Balraj himself. The man is now devoted to his mission. But honestly I did not get why he made Trishna sign the contract. Was it to keep RK all calm and not personally monitor him and his activities. Seems so because he has no choice. Bittuji forced him the other day to convince Trishna to act in his film. So he can still maintain his cover of being the novice producer in the town. But Balraj's rage at seeing Madhu in RK mansion was just too much. The psychotic guy starts anywhere, forgetting the plan. What would he have achieved killing MB there in her mansion, when clearly knows there are people at her disposal. Sigh! The maniac in him just can't wait to be done with his Vinashbala...and the maniacal creative urges of the CVs do not stop at showing unreasonable attacks.

Madhu -Balraj
All his dialogues with MB had double meaning and clearly MB did not like all that and yet true to her character, she couldn't stop bandaging the injured hand of the loathsome and fearful man in front of her.

The other Ops
And RK blurted out just Chaudhri name before MB! 😳 When is he gonna utter Balraj!!

Well not before all that SBS/E24/IBN7/ABP hungama trailers released today.

The wedding preparations are going on for Padmini and Shamsher's marriage. Roma and MB have started the wedding arrangements and Trishna is roaming around in panic at the decision she has made. In precap, we see her nervousness getting the better of her and she blurts out that she has been offerred a movie by Balraj Chaudhri to Roma. And ofcourse Padmini and Shamsher overhear that. Let's wait for tomorrow to know what happens then...

Well the episode was good in dramatic content except Balraj thinking of attacking MB at her own home. I was not bored and I could feel the chaos of people arranging for wedding and still everyone going about his duties to his best mind and capability. Like Trishna trying to think that she can take advantage of Balraj..she just dreams...but why should one not dream ?!! Will give a B rating.

aha ! i'm happy i won't be downloading the epi. today 🤣 we should look at the brighter side also..🤔

tht was very much expected from Trishna..she will accept working with psycho Ballu ..i already said it ke RK miscalculated his move ke he should not help Trishna openly bec. she won't accept his help..she wud have accepted the offer w/o giving it a second thought..what did he get by acting mahaan now? he didn't know anything abt BSC-Padmini so nobody might blame him for bringing him back in their life but Madhu might be upset tht he helped Trash w/o telling her and this is not right blah blah...therez nothing wrong in helping Trishna bec. at the end of the day, HE is not making her a heroine, she will succeed only on her merit...tht's when the movie is successful...tht's kitneee aage ki baat, just like RK's dream ...the Malik's will again get a reason to scold Trishna bec. she accepted Ballu's film...in a way driving her away frm her family towards Ballu n Ballu might use her against Madhu ..woh bhi she will do without any remorse 🤢anything to become a heroine !

Madhu-Ballu scene was okay..timepass...

what else? 😕 precap might be a dream..if Padmini knows abt Ballu, will she agree to marry Shammo with all the pomp and show?
